The room itself is very basic - beds, a floor lamp, a table and a washbasin are provided. 2 bathrooms are out of the room, as well as the kitchen with the necessary equipment. It's acceptable for a short-term staying. I was super lucky to have the best roommates! But there were 4-5 of us in a room for 8 people. 8 would be too many for such a tiny room. The location is one of the biggest advantages - close to everything:) The WiFi connection is great and stable!

Great location with a big parking lot for cars. It is completely self check-in and out - we didn't see a single staff member for the 2 nights (which can be a good and bad thing). It is located < 5 minutes from the start of the main road which takes you right into the centre. There are also big supermarkets nearby. It is also located < 5 minutes from the big church which is very popular. Room was as expected for the short stay and had enough room for bags etc.

We didn't see a single staff member for the 2 nights, which can be difficult for less experienced travellers. We had to help a few guests who didn't know how to get the door code for their rooms. There are also many doors to the building but only one at the very back and bottom of the property is useable. It would have been handy if we could enter/exit from some of the other doors.

Top location, just behind the church in central Reykjavík. The private free parking is very helpful, as free parking in Reykjavík is not a possibility. It was nice not having to check in at a reception, everything is done through codes, easy and straightforward. The room with 8 bed was quiet big and spacious. It was not fully booked and did not have any problems in sleeping. The bed was fine, temperature in room too. Many showers and toilets, however the cleaning could be a bit improved (and guests could clean after themselves...) Nothing major tough. The shower was very hot. If I can give one feedback: on my second night, someone had taken my bed. The beds are assigned during the booking process, so I can't understand how some guy found its place on the bed I had slept the night before? I guess he did not realise the beds are assigned, therefore I suggest to make it more clear that the beds are assigned improving the communication. It's not pleasent having to take another bed worrying that someone may come at any time during the night claiming the bed where I am sleeping... I would definitely come back here as I had a positive experience, and the price is convenient compared to other options in town.

very nice and lovely staff, I asked about extra duvet, they provided me without any problem. Guys on the front desk helped me with calling a cab and I had really nice chat with them. I can recommend this hostel, they are trying the best a it is a nice vibes over there.

breakfast - nice to have this opportunity but I would prefer scrambled eggs to dry omelette. The price was fair. The big kitchen was under reconstruction that time. Small kitchen was enough for me. I could not find the entrance like a lot of people. Could be better instruction how to access the reception.

It was clean, well taken care of, had good shared kitchen, and was decorated in a funky and fun way. Fast responses by staff through Booking.com app messaging.

Probably has a plumbing issue--some water backed up in my shower even though I wasn't using it (shower floor went from having no water to having a puddle in it that I saw grow even though my shower wasn't being used). When I used the shower, it drained very slowly. About 2 inches of water backed up in about 10 min and took a long time to drain after I was done.

It is nice building and very near to the bus stops and the city centre. Very close to the Hallgrimskirkja, and there is a public pool house next to the hostel. I felt very safe, the staff and other guests were nice and friendly. There were people having lovely candle light suppers by the reception, it looked very nice!

The bunk beds were terrible. They would wobble around if I just breath. I am not the smallest person, and I had the upper bed, so I felt sorry for the person below. Also it gets very crowded in the kitchen when everyone is having a their breakfast or dinner at the same time. And not all guest are taking care of their dirty dishes and garbage.

This is a huge hostel with many rooms and many (super clean) bathrooms. And it is in very convenient location! We stayed once in a room with two bunk beds and the sink was not working. The second time we had a family room with one double and one bunk bed which was nice and roomy.

There are two kitchens but there could be more cooking plates for so many people. And the big kitchen could be heated more. One thing I didn’t like is that there was no clearly signed shelf with things that people leave for the others to use. I even witnessed the free stuff being thrown away! People who stay in hostels like leaving food for others or using the food they find. It is such a waste not to provide for this. On the other hand the fridge was full of expired things. I tried to explain this. I hope i succeeded.

Most of the staff are really nice and helpful, the installations are clean and well maintained, the location is great as you are a walking distance from almost everything, you get a good value for your money,

I didn't like much that the male staff enters the female rooms without knocking on the doors, and sometimes the leaft the doors wide opened and left for their lunch break without finishing first, which I didn't understand knowing the code rules of the hostel about the rooms. Sadly I also didn't like that they throw the food that the travelers leave for other guests to take for free, I understand that with perishable food,but not with dry food, that let to unnecessary food waste that anyone will be thankful for, I heard during my stay a few guests complaining about it, and when they left the food was thrown out anyway.

So close to the city centre! We walked around downtown Iceland and managed to see all the sites from our place. The shared kitchen was awesome if you’re like my family who wanted to save some money on food and decided to pack some lunches! We didn’t have the breakfast, but it was very tempting to make an additional charge every morning!

This hostel offers a great car park and a well-equipped kitchen. The location is excellent, with the city center just a 10-minute walk away. It's very convenient for exploring the area on foot.

The hostel staff were generally great, except for one issue with the receptionist. She played her music loudly on speaker phone in the guest kitchen, which was quite disruptive. Additionally, she invited outsiders to join her for a small gathering in the kitchen, and some of them lingered near our room, making us feel uncomfortable and unsafe. This behavior really detracted from an otherwise pleasant stay.
