Definitely get the breakfast option. If your traveling, it offers you familiar food and a great selection of healthy goodies. Great hotel with all the amenities. Cleaning staff on point. Restaurant staff friendly and accommodatIng.

the staff at reception seemed bothered when I had questions. I asked where the WC was in the lobby. Answered me saying they could hold my luggage. When I asked for assistance with a food delivery app, WOLT, (like door dash or grub hub), I was told they don’t work for WOLT and couldn’t help me. I needed translation from IS to ENG on the app (menus defaulted to IS even when ENG selected for site). I was told no one at reception spoke Icelandic (IS). What?!?! I just needed help with the food descriptions. This was the attitude throughout my stay. Also, maybe a cultural thing, but I would stand there waiting, and staff never looked up. Eventually I would say hello, and then they would say can I help you.

The hotel is slightly away from Rainbow Street or city center, but still manageable. The room is big and beds are comfy. If the window is opened for ventilation, you can hear noise from the atrium. The bed was comfy. Grocery store (Netto) and bakery nearby. This hotel itself is a stop for Tour Pick-up and Drop-off, so it's convenient for people who join tours (especially multi-day tour so you don't need to carry your luggage to bus stops).

Kettle is not provided. There is a coffee machine but the water tank is quite dusty so didn't use it as a boiler. The housekeeping staff didn't properly vacuum clean, so the floor still had hair and was dusty. The housekeeping service quality was inconsistent for the 5-night stay.

Excellent staff, very helpful, very nice modern room. Scandinavian style beds— fairly soft mattress with a futon and duvet, so not great if you prefer a firm mattress, but still lovely. The buffet breakfast is excellent. I cannot say enough about the front desk staff— welcoming and friendly.

It’s a little far from downtown, but it’s a short cab ride. Also, note that you have to request housekeeping to do the room— it’s not automatically provided. No bottled water provided in the room…although Icelandic tap water is excellent. But these are minor shortcomings, and when I called to ask why my room hadn’t been made up, the front desk attendant herself rushed to my room with fresh towels and dealt with it really nicely. That’s when I learned you had to ask for housekeeping. But they were so attentive— I will come back.

Great view of the bay. The hotel was outside downtown but close enough you could walk (~20 min), it is also within walking distance from a bus depot where you can travel to other cities and paid tours to the other places. Staff was very friendly, from all over the world, ready to entertain you and accommodate your needs. Breakfast is what you would expect of a five star hotel, plenty of food and a lots of options for everyone in the family. My family and I had a great time.

It is far from the airport. you will need to rent a car or secure ground transportation. It is better to rent a car in order to explore this beautiful country at your leasure.

The room was very big, the hotel hall is big and it has a very cosy and let’s say “northern design”. The bed was very comfortable, everything was super clean and the staff is super nice. The breakfast had everything you need. I fell in love with the pillows, I’ve never had such comfortable pillows in a hotel stay before. There is a lovely cat roaming around the hotel, I guess she is the manager! :) The restaurant is really good and I only booked this hotel because I wanted to have easy-to-go options without having trouble searching for something.

I think they could improve the quality of the hygiene’s products (shampoo and conditioner). I understand the interior design is supposed to be very cosy but sometimes I felt the room was too dark and there wasn’t better lighting options to turn on. The sweets in the breakfast (waffle, croissant etc) could also be improved, they are too dry and taste like frozen food. Be aware that this hotel is a little distant to the city centre, so if you plan to discover the city it might take a little effort: You can always take a bus or a taxi but I don’t think it’s a “walk distance”. For us this wasn’t a problem because all the tours pick you up at the hotel hall.

Beautiful and truly grand hotel. We had a very comfortable stay with the family. The reception desk was attentive to our needs - moreover the breakfast staff was phenomenal! They were caring and smiley and truly good hospitality is what you need! They were very kind! As well has the housekeeping staff - always smiling and engaging with our family. We had a junior suite which was huge and the windows were amazing to see the whole city. Very well located - for getting in and out of Reykjavík to see the sights. Downtown was 5 minutes.

I wish they had a working spa or pool on site!

Receptionists and Staffs at breakfast room were attentive and pleasant. We also appreciated the room assigned to us. We booked a room for 3 big adults. The one we got was spacious with big bathroom. It had large windows with the view of traffic intersection and the sky. Also love its location - convenient to go to city center: we always took taxis,though. Every tours we bought came to pick us up from the hotel - convenient for us. Breakfast had varieties including oranges you could do cold press by yourself.

Beautiful, clean hotel with a wonderful lobby - very high, beautiful glass ceiling to see the sky, plenty of comfy couches and chairs to accommodate a large number of guests. The rooms are very nice and the staff is very friendly and helpful! My favorite part is the sweet cat “Dula” who lives nearby and spends most of her time at the hotel! She greets guests with friendly curiosity and sat in my lap often during my stay. Cat lovers, this is the hotel for you :)

Everywhere was spotless - i saw one if the breakfast staff dusting down the chairs at a table after people had left, i thought that was amazing, how many places do you sit down and you have ro clean down the seat first The staff were very friendly, but not too friendly and that appealed to us The hotel is very modern and well equipped

The shower is a ridiculous design, it was a wetroom style that flooded everywhere - We needed lots of towels to colect the water

Very clean and closely located to our event and downtown activities. Breakfast was terrific.

The night staff had personality of a dish rag. Wouldn’t even help me find a bottle opener . No one told us that they would be blasting starting at 9 AM every hour until 4 PM. I requested that my room not be near an elevator and I couldn’t have gotten any closer to one lol. Despite that the hotel was rather quiet, but busy.
