The hotel was comfortable, clean and had a lift :) The room was bright, and the shower was awesome! Breakfast is provided, and the dining room area is nice- there also seems to be books available to borrow while you're staying. The wifi is rapid and easy to connect to. The rooms are warm, which is often required in Iceland.

The location is sort of inconvenient as it's not in the main city area, but it's only a short bus ride to the city, so that's fine. There was one lady working there who I did not see smile once in the four days we were there. The rooms also only have a small window that opens and unfortunately, we were there on the hot days in Iceland (I didn't know Iceland had hot days!)

Great. We spent our first 2 nights in Iceland in this place. Good location. Great place for the first few nights. ~ 20-30 minutes walk to the city. Nice variety on breakfast. It’s like a mini open buffet. They serve bread, cheese, cold meats, fresh croissants and also boiled eggs which is great for maintaining the gains. Exactly the place you need if you are visiting Reykjavik.

We liked pretty much everything! Nice little hotel, well designed, lovely little features here & there. Cosy little self- service breakfast area. Decent rooms. Staff super friendly and helpful from Reception to Housekeeping. Excellent check- in, was not able to catch the lady's name - sorry. Although not in the city center, I would definitely recommend this hotel. If you have a bus / coach transfer from the airport - most companies will drp you to the main station, then take you with a smaller bus to the hotels / including the Nordurey. If not, they will drop you very close by the Cabin Hotel. ( 5 min walk). If you drive, there are spaces in the front.

An overall nice, small and quiet hotel not far from the city center. Room was small but functional. Free parking space in front of or close to the hotel.

The ventilation in the room was poor with no other intake of air than through open windows. In the night the window had to be open to let in air, and thus sounds from the street was somewhat disturbing. Also moist from the shower gathered on the window and the frame. Should be addressed to! Breakfast was a little plain; had appreciated more variety and for examples more fruit.

Great location, not super central but close to the sea. Easy parking either in front of the hotel or in the street next to it. You get a keycode to both the main entrance and the room, and apart from the breakfast you don't really interact with any staff. This was our second time here and we got a room overlooking the inner court, which was very quiet - a big difference to our first time, when we had a noisy room overlooking the street. Breakfast was great, good variety and good quality.

The room could have been more spacious, you don't really have the space to store a big suitcase comfortably.

Lots of parking nearby, the communication was good to let us know how to get in and check out, the room itself was clean and comfortable and perfect for spending the night

Everything is automated with coded keypads so we never once saw or interacted with any staff during the whole time stayed there. For us it wasn’t a problem because we got into the room fine and everything went smoothly but I wasn’t sure who we could talk to if we did run into problems since no one was ever at the desk.

Friendly helpful staff. The hotel reception isn’t staffed 24/7 so the hotel has slightly more of a feel of renting a mini apartment. You let yourself in with a key code at the main door and for your room. We liked this and it wasn’t a problem at all. Breakfast buffet is generous and a big plus. Our room was spotlessly clean and warm.

The room wasn’t particularly large but it was fine for us for a short stay. If we’d been staying in Reykjavik longer we would probably have looked for a slightly larger room.

Room was modern but cosy and very warm. Good to have a private bathroom. Breakfast was a highlight - warm buffet options along with cereal and pickled fish. Parking in front of building and side streets was free and could always find a spot. Several minutes walking to supermarket and bank.

Advertised a fridge in room but there was none. A bit tight on room for two people, had to move the twin beds away from each other as they were set up side-to-side.

Convenient location (20-30 min from the main streets). Good price. Small room, but we mainly needed it for sleep. Has a small fridge and area for 1 suitcase/luggage. We were able to see Northern lights at a walking distance towards the shore almost every night (10 min walk). Has a bus stop right across-3-5 min walk.

Small shower. Same exact breakfast options every day (stayed for 7 days). WiFi is not the best and TV did not work in our room due to poor signal.

Had a nice stay at this small hotel. It was mostly satisfactory. Nice shower and our room had a small terrace outside on the ground level. The breakfast and breakfast staff were excellent. Free parking was nice.

Was only able to get my tv working on the last night of our stay, despite repeated attempts with the hotel staff to get it rectified from the day we checked in. I was promised a discounted rate as a result however have not heard anything since I checked out.
