Really nice guys working at this place. KK was excellent as was the guy running the restaurant whose name I didn’t manage to get but you know who you are! The guy who checked me in was great too. So excellent staff all round who make sure you are well looked after. Decent room for the price and great rooftop restaurant with a view of the Taj. Good Wi-Fi too. Good all round and unlike a lot of hotels in India, they don’t try to rip you off or extract extra money from you etc.

Not the hotels fault but on one of the days, it seemed some drain cleaning had been taking place in the small alley leading to fjr hotel (or had just fallen out of the drains) and the smell was literally unbearable so you have to walk past it very fast. As I say, not the hotels fault and if got better after the initial smell.

The view is amazing, however I would just say that the Taj Mahal is not lit up at night. The staff was very friendly and the room was fine (definitely value for money in terms of how cheap it is, but you also get what you pay for). I had hoped the view would make up the difference since there was not a nicer spot with the same view. In hindsight I would have just gone for dinner and booked somewhere else.

There's nothing really negative I can saw because it is so cheap. It's exactly what you would expect for a $20 room. The view during the day was exceptional, and it is very close to the entrance of the Taj.

Amazing location just 5 min walk from the entrance of the Taj Mahal. The view from the rooftop is wonderful. I have booked one night at this hotel to enjoy the Taj Mahal at the maximum - and i was not disappointed at all. The pictures are accurate and we really can enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner, or any drinks during the day at the terrace of this hotel - as this is opened full day till 10.30pm at night. If no rooms are available, i would recommend to still go and have a bite there. The personnel is amazing too and very helpful. The room i booked was basic but for the price this is definitely acceptable as anyway this was only to sleep a few hours before heading to Taj Mahal visit (that i did at 5.30am to ensure to spot the sunrise on the Taj. This stay will be a forever memory.

Nothing as i knew i booked this hotel for the view on the Taj from the rooftop (and not for the room itself)

Dev and team are very friendly, helpful and hospitable. Highlight is the roof terrace with view of the Taj Mahal. On walking distance of the East entrance. Literally around the corner. Staff member drove me to the train station as an extra service. Highly appreciated. Tasty food menu all day offered. Enough choice in local and western food options.

Can’t complain much with this low rate and location, but I would like to give you the following tips: Rooms can be much cleaner and provide more amenities like a bin and closet or hangers. A little fresh paint and some maintenance and it will be an even better accommodation.

If you are like me you booked this property because of the proximity to the Taj and its affordability. You get exactly what you pay for and that’s okay as long as you understand that before you book. You will have a bed and it comfortable and large. You will lukewarm water and one outlet for the room. There is no tv. The wifi is unusable. That being said you wake up one minute from the entrance to the Taj and have access to a restaurant on the roof with a view of the Taj. Staff is pleasant as well.

We stayed 2 nights at Saniya Palace. location is perfect to visit the Taj Mahal less than 2mn walk. The terrace is splendid and is offering the best view over the Taj. Staff is very kind and helpful. Breakfast is served even late which allow us to visit early the Taj Mahal and take the breakfast after. Mr Dave is a great guest and speaks English and a perfect french. I will recommend the hotel

The Hotel was renovated during my stay there were some workers. The rooms are correct in value of money comfort is correct. The location is perfect very close to the Taj Mahal only 10 minutes walking distance. The rooftop view of the Taj Mahal is a magnificent, panoramic view. The team members were very helpful and welcome persons. One thing is best their breakfast included team. I absolutely recommend this guest house for budget class tourists

The Bathroom

Very nice hotel, staff very helpful and knowledgeable. View from the terrace of the Taj Mahal. Delicious food in the restaurant. The cook looks after the guests personally, fulfills every wish. He is extremely friendly and VERY HELPFUL!!! It cooks great!!! He noticed that I hadn't eaten one ingredient from the dish I had ordered. He asked why - I replied that I thought it would be something completely different. As compensation, I received another dish. It was great behavior by the cook. He assisted us during breakfast, fulfilling every request. I hope he will work in this hotel for a long time!

The location is the best for those who want to have a view on the taj mahal. it's easy to acces and everybody know's it. The room are nice and the staff is great. I would recommend for a short stay

There is flies in the bathroom which i dont like but at least, they are not mosquitos. I would recommend to close the bathrooom door hahah ! Otherwise, you should probably get your own beer if. you dont want to pay expensive for it.

The hotel is perfectly located for a trip to the Taj Mahal. The staff we all very friendly and especially Bobby and KK Yahdub. Overall I don't think booking .com review format allows for the traveller to express their true experience. We felt safe and well looked after by the staff members at this hotel. We left feeling very good about visiting agra and we feel the staff at the hotel contributed to a majority of our well being

Unfortunately we cannot comment on the rooftop garden as the G20 protocol would not allow the hotel to open the rooftop. But as stated this hotel is perfectly situated to the Taj and the rooftop has a lovely rooftop resteraunt with clear views of the Taj.
