Very good location in Central Chennai. Now accessible by Metro from the Airport (5mn walk from the station, the Metro is air-conditioned and clean and costs only 30 Rupees, there are elevators everywhere if you travel with luggage). Great breakfast buffet with many South Indian options. I also used the room service which was very good. The room is large, bright, and clean. The staff is super friendly.

My room is on the verge of needing maintenance: the rainshower does not work and you can see pain flaking from the ceiling...

Staff are the great strength of this hotel while the renovations are in progress. They went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly while the construction phase was happening. The breakfast in the Kitchen was amazing! An incredible range of Western and Indian foods on offer with staff being very attentive to the visitor's needs. Rooms were very spacious and quiet.

Some staff would benefit from intensive English regarding hospitality words and phrases English speaking people use, especiallyin the Kitchen. That would help them as the hotel will attract more and more English speaking people with the upgraded facilities later this year.

I loved the room and the general cleanliness and safe feeling in this hotel. Most of all loved the staff. From the manager, the receptionist, the waiters, the bell boy, the driver, etc. Very helpful, courteous and duty bound to serve. Had a medical emergency in the wee hours, and was promptly aided by the hotel staff who sent us to a nearby hospital. They even helped to prepare special meal to help during the recovery process. A keeper...so will definitely go back to Raintree, Annasalai.

Some noise as renovation was going on. But generally the rooms were insulated from much noise.

We stayed at the Raintree Hotel in Anna Salai for a week in June 2023. The service and the staff have been exceedingly amazing and very welcoming since the day we came. They made us feel like we had already known them and were friends! The receptionist Tiniti, gave us a very warm welcome when we first walked in and every time we walk in and out the lobby. We traveled with our 1 and a half year old baby boy, and everyone was exceptionally friendly and loving. He is the most friendliest of babies, he waved and gave flying kisses to all the staff. They interacted with him regularly when they were available. The restaurant staff were likewise the same. Every single member of the restaurant team were absolutely amazing too. Played, talked and interacted with our little one. They were also very warm and welcoming and accommodated to any requests we had. We felt like we were part of the Raintree Family! The food and service at the restaurant is impeccable. No faults or complaints at all. We would like to show some appreciation and recognition to some of the Raintree staff members whom we remember the name (nevertheless every member of staff at the Raintree was the friendliest, most welcoming and accommodating) - Gokul, Navrah, Shaji, Dhanu, Bishu We would happily stay here again without a doubt and definitely recommend to anybody wanting a stay in the beautiful Chennai, India.

I was not told about early checking charges while booking. Specifically called and confirmed with hotel staff that i need check in early. They also confirmed me that we can check in. But while checking in i was charged with early check in charges of Rs 7000/-. That was totally unacceptable. I was left with no other option but to pay. had i been told that there would be charges for early checking in, i would not opted for your hotel. bad experience

overall the stay was comfortable and closer to the work place and this place is closer to metro for local commute and to the Airport.. Would definitely recommend this property for all kinds of stay be it business or with family..

There is a renovation happening so lot of noise but otherwise a good property to stay, Hassle free experience.. Just a suggestion if the early check in can be looked at without any fuss.. Some of them travel overnight and the early check-in would definitely entice the customer for repeated stays..

Location and a greater attention to cleaning and maintenance should be made.

Luxury at its best ! Very comfortable stay, hospitable, friendly and warm teams, right from the, security, front office, restaurant, house keeping etc. Food is to die for with a huge spread of multi cuisine. Great spaces to rest and relax in the lobby, especially after checkout and waiting time to catch the cab or if you need to while away until your late flight. Every staff member of the Raintree ensures that the guest is happy and comfortable.

The cofee mugs in the room need attention as there are stains and remnants from the previous use. It appears that the housekeeping just runs the water and washes these mugs in the guest washroom. Cofee mugs need to be replaced during room cleaning or washed in the kitchens.

Breakfast was really good with plenty of choice. The room was okay, had some problem with the fan of the AC the speed of which was not controllable. Dinner was good, but pricing was a bit on the higher side.

The fittings inside the toilet and inside the rooms need a complete revamp, looks very outdated. The washbasin and the pipe fittings inside the toilet is too small to use and its drainage of waste water is very slow.

24 hours check is misleading, I had reached hotel in the morning around 5 AM thinking that 24 hours is calculated from the time I check in. I was informed that check in is at 12 noon and the 24 hours starts from that time. While sharing the booking confirmation it can be communicated to the guest. During the accommodation booking the website did ask question at what time is the expected check in. Please review as at the time of early morning check in if it is informed it affects our planning of our travel and to pay the difference in amount one additional night accommodation charges/tariff.
