Excellent location, fantastic rooms & very courteous staff members.

I paid for breakfast but consiously decided not have it after continuous bad experience. Excluding couple of senior staffs, the guest service in the buffet area was very unprofessional. This was the same when I stayed with them in April - May'24 as well. The F&B manager did come to my room and listened to my concerns, he promised it will be a better experience but given I don't want to start my day with bad experience, I avoided having breakfast for the last 3 days of my stay though I paid for it.. I will definitely stay again with them given the overall great experience but hope I will have a better experience with the breakfast buffet staff service since the food is good.

The staff - look out for Merly at the front dest, she is a joy to liaise with and have done so for every trip. Housekeeping Director- Mr. Balachandran, always a pleasure to deal with. The only place I stay at when in Chennai- great location and it's always the staff that brings me back because for me personally that is the 1st criteria for my stay - the people and for that Welcomhotel's staff never disappoints.

Nothing actually- FYI, Welcomhotel had gone through a rather extensive makeover so just know the prices are up as well- but it's worth it. Also the club room for the smoking floor (5th floor)- due to the structure the club room I had felt smaller without the dining table and chairs because of the large pillars in the room, but the Hotel- Merly gave an upgrade 😀

We stayed here for 3 weeks, the location is perfect ,rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast was nice,the food at the chinese restaurant was very good, the staffs at the hotel were exceptional especially mrs Brinda the manager, she is the pillar of this hotel....she did all her best to make our stay pleasant and memorable,all the staff's were good, to name a few mr Keith at the restaurant and Ms Mami at the spa were too good, we will come again definitely....next year. My recent three-night stay at Welcome Hotels by ITC Cathedral Road was an absolute delight. The hotel's stunning interiors, combined with impeccable service, created a memorable experience. The rooms were immaculate, providing a serene and comfortable retreat. The staff, without exception, were incredibly polite and attentive to every need. I was particularly impressed by the exceptional kindness and dedication of the hotel staff. Front Desk Manager Brinda went above and beyond to assist me in a challenging situation. She tirelessly tracked down my lost wallet, effectively communicating with the Uber driver in the local language, ensuring its safe return. Her compassion and problem-solving skills were truly commendable. The culinary experience at the hotel was equally delightful. Chef Kethe prepared delectable meals that satisfied my palate and fueled me for the day ahead. The hotel's General Manager, Ila, also extended warm hospitality, making me feel like a valued guest. The hotel's prime location is an added advantage, especially for those visiting the US Consulate. Its walkable distance to the consulate makes it incredibly convenient for visa appointments and other official business. Overall, my stay at Welcome Hotels by ITC Cathedral Road was a truly heartwarming experience. The hotel's luxurious accommodations, excellent service, and the genuine care of its staff made it a memorable visit. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chennai, particularly those with business at the US Consulate.

We booked this hotel for our 2 nights stay in Chennai. We are very happy with everything. The service, the food quality, cleanliness etc. The breakfast spread was amazing. It had everything from idli and pongal to a wide-ranging platter of desserts. The location is perfect. Located on the Cathedral Road and at a distance of 3 kms from the Marina Beach, the hotel is not on the hustling streets, but it is a sweet spot from where public transport to every corner of Chennai was conveniently available. Their cafe serves very good sandwich and coffee and the best thing is the Durrant's Bar. Our bartender Manoj served amazing cocktails during the entire stay in the hotel

Nothing really!

* The staff were great - supportive and welcoming. Everyone was very personable (including Brinda Das) - which made our stay pleasant. * We had half-board catering during our stay- compared to other hotels there was not an infinite amount of choices for breakfast and dinner but what was served was delicious and high quality. We enjoyed our breakfast and dinner - there was sufficient rotation between the 3 nights stay. The hotel also provided us with a freshly packed breakfast for our very early departure * The rooms (Club suites) were done up really well including the bathrooms.

There was an odour in the corridor (stale smoke smell) which was not pleasant.

The staff are very friendly and attentive from the reception to the restaurant! Chef Vikram goes above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that each guest is happy with the food and their individual needs are met.

The room entertainment system is unnecessarily complicated! The No of English movie channels are limited to just one. The bed side reading lamps are also connected to some of the ceiling lights, so you either have them all or nothing. If you just want to read with a single bedside lamp it's not possible!!

Just loved the way the rooms have been designed -/ every element just where it should. Most importantly, the choice of fittings and fixtures. All conforming to the core of ITC Hotels that I have known over the years. It is a well thought out transition from the convention to the new age without sacrificing the soul of what ITC Hotels has stood for over the years.

I liked everything in the property. If there is anything that was missing, it is ‘the total absence of life’ in the lobby. It looks bare. Lacks warmth. That said, it is certainly not a comment on the staff who handle the Front Desk. They are Super Performers. All that I felt was that the Lobby leading up to the Front Desk could do with something that would make the guest feel just so wanted and welcomed. But, please avoid the Welcome Drink ceremony. That is not only so boring , but just so clinical and lacking in warmth.

The hospitality and attention to detail was exceptional from start to finish. Not forgetting the outstanding service received from manager Brenda and Thomson at reception. We were a family of 10 traveling together and celebrated my 45th birthday and renewed our wedding vows. These milestones were made extremely memorable by Thomson going out of his way to ensure that every guests need was attended to from arrival to departure. We spent 6 nights at Welcome ITC Chennai and I will most definitely recommend this fine establishment to all my family, friends and clients. Excellent

The location is very good, with easy access to most of the sights, restaurants, shopping, and the beach. The beds were super comfortable, and the breakfast/lunch or main meal options were plentiful. We could book a taxi with the hotel itself when we needed. The staff were really helpful!

As the hotel is near a main road, we could hear the road noise at times (mostly around school/office run). So the rooms could have used more soundproofing.
