Excellent location, lovely leafy, quiet neighborhood. Great shower and comfortable (firm) bed. Would definitely stay here again, but would ask for a different room

My room was directly off the dining area and next to the office, so was a little noisy in the mornings and evenings with breakfast set up, phones and tvs. Worst thing though was the smell of smoke - not sure if it was from previous guests, or seeping in from smokers in the garden. Was a shame because otherwise it was a great place. There are rooms out the back - off the garden - which may be quieter, if not less smokey!

I had a pleasant two-day stay at Avenue 11 Hotel. The ambience was calm and welcoming, making it a perfect spot for a short getaway or business visit. Set in a quiet superb of Chennai this well appointed 16 bed family run Residence gives you peace amongst the chaos of the city, all attractions are easily reached by inexpensive taxis. The residence is clean and the management are friendly, happy to give advise and call taxis and endeavour to help with anything. Mr Palaniappan was particularly helpful sending a car to collect us at the airport as I have a broken wrist and he upgraded our room free of charge - thank you

Nothing met our expectations

Breakfast - South Indian dishes mainly and it was fine. Location - It is in a quiet residential place but the downside is you have to walk a bit to the shops. Room - The room I chose was very large, the toilet was also spacious. Everything was clean. People - Amarnath and Deepak were very helpful. Generally the team was good.

Nothing significant. There was no ironing board so had to use one of the tables. There was no face tissue provided (might have received one if I had asked). To weigh my suitcase had to scramble for a scale, finally found a small one. There was a lot of noise because of some construction work to extend the lobby, which is temporary (should finish in couple of weeks).

1. Nice and peaceful residential location. It is an old house which was converted, so it does not look like or feel like a hotel. Posh locality with big houses including the late CM Jayalalithaa's Veda Nilayam very nearby. 2. Very courteous and pleasant staff and owner. Extremely helpful and welcoming. 3. Superior suite room is the best. Large room with a large window and comparatively newer bath fittings etc. 4. The superior double room that was allocated to us was much smaller than in the picture and was congested. When expressed our dissatisfaction, they gave a free upgrade to superior suite for the second night which was a very sweet and nice gesture. 5. Breakfast and some room service food that we ordered tasted good and was reasonably priced. Buffet breakfast has a decent choice of items and the dining area is very clean.

1. Some renovation work going on which is noisy during day time. Perhaps they could inform us about this beforehand. But the work was progressing pretty quickly while we were there. 2. Marble flooring in the first superior room that was allocated to us did not feel perfectly clean. And the room in the picture was bigger. I feel that room is worth only standard price. 3. More fruit options could be included in the breakfast.

Property avenue 11 is located in prime location which is clearly accessible by road transport. Always Get a homely feeling during my stay in the AVENUE 11. This is my 3rd visit to the property. The staff of the hotel are very courteous and friendly and very helping too. In close vicinity u hv Chennai central railway station , marina and triplicane beach and temples too. Yes.. not to forget the yummy breakfast which is complementary and dinner too was tasty and good. If u r lucky enough u can get the Superstar Rajnikant ‘s glimpse too as his house is in a very close vicinity & also late chief minister Jai Lalita’s house is in a very close vicinity. Some staff ask for gifts from guest which is not right!. They need to be mindful of their behaviour and give space to guest during their stay.

The quiet environment despite being just 200mtrs away from the busy main road. Courteous staff, homely food were surprises. Wifi connectivity was good. Thiugh the Cost of certain items like a cup of tea at Rs. 50 and a plate of salad at Rs. 150 plus taxes is a tad high, the courteous staff more than made it up. Also Uber and Ola services even at odd hours are good.

The lighting could be brighter including in the bathroom if possible. Airtel connectivity is poor. One needs to step out of the room to take calls.

Vacation | Friends We love this place. We stayed here with family and guests for an event. Second time stay after a few years. Tranquil atmosphere within the city with trees and shade. Delicious fresh breakfast in the morning (Thank you jithu! Thank you Deepak!), attentive staff always helpful, food to the room always made fresh, clean rooms. Chennai has plenty of impersonal multi-national chains for you. But if you want a calm relaxing stay to end your day after a go-around in the city (with its attendant chaos), this is your place.

I grew up near this area and the zipcode is the poshest in Chennai - celebrities and business tycoons live here.... absolutely safe. Big time value for money since we looked for a good B&B; big hotels were in busy roads an all had a few negative reviews. Breakfast was the highlight of the day, especially if you like homestyle cooking. Staff is very, very attentive to all your needs. The owner, Mr. Palaniappan is a very pro-active person and wonderful. "A Home away from home for us"; we stayed five nights and then four more. Will definitely go back if the need arises again. They are also striving to improve.

Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, great staff. Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever, lovely and great first impression of hotel. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in where we had dinner. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.
