I usually stay in the Oberoi and was staying here for the 1st time, so I had no expectations. How I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. The room was as nice and clean. The staff were quite helpful throughout the stay. I did not use the Restaurant or the coffee shop, but had a Misti Doi , which was excellent. The hotel is also centrally located to explore the city. They have a parking a short distance away as the space in the hotel is limited. I however did not have any issue with this.

The only poor experience was during checkout which took too long and the staff went to check the minibar. In spite of me telling them what I had taken from it. I would rate the hotel a bit lower due to this experience. My advice to the Hotel is not to keep anything in the minibar , if you don’t trust their guests.

I stayed for 7 nights and received a 5 star service from every department - the staff were the warmest and most welcoming people I met during my holiday, food was tasty beyond measure. Everyone exceeded all my expectations and swiftly catered to my timetable and requirements. Ranking the contributions of the staff who influenced my trip will do them a disservice so I'm ranking everybody number 1 - A HUGE HUGE thank you to: 1. Mr Murari Mandal - what a gentleman. Drives the hotel taxi and taught me everything about Kolkata - provided a detailed introduction to the city, things to do, places of cultural significance, tourist attractions to consider, food, etc. Bear in mind that I landed knowing nothing. If you need a kind and knowledgeable driver, he's your man! 1. Mr Surajit Ghosh - If you don't talk to this man you are missing out. He may look quiet but he's a gent who knows a lot about Kolkata. I tried many of his food suggestions and was never disappointed. 1. Mr Mukesh - housekeeping is a department that can make or break a holiday experience. Mukesh's efficiency left no space for problems to arise. His work was diligent beyond measure. 1. Mr Kevin, Ms Priyashree, Mr Alam - extremely quick to provide suitable suggestions and solutions for anything - hotel-related, navigating the city, local delicacies, markets, or otherwise. Their ability to solve problems knew no limits. 1. Mr Anghshuman - ran a great team and service. The breakfast buffets were ridiculously tasty. The Indian menu was second to none and the European selection reminded me of home (I'm from London). 1. Ms Anisha and her team - always found a way to ensure the best customer experience in the spa and salon. I spoke to other guests who said the same. 1. Ms Surela - Look no further if you want to relax or loosen knots via a massage (Thai massage, deep tissue, reflexology, everything!). I had 8 treatments within 7 days, that should say it all.

Nothing to dislike. The operations are seamless and highly customer-focused. The staff do not give you an opportunity to experience disappointment.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Checkin was smooth. I was a solo female traveler, a female employee escorted me to my room which was great. Food was delicious. Rooms were clean and neat. They have taken care of little things that often get overlooked in most of the hotels. Like there was a retractable wire in the washroom to hang your cloths if you happened to wash them, 2 bathrobes apart from towels, a night light that most of the hotels forget to provide, TV which could be pulled out and adjusted so that you could watch it from the bed as well. slippers, iron, etc. which you will generally find in top resorts. Service was quick. And the front desk was available all the time.

The food was overpriced. I see this in all good hotels in Kolkata. I am not sure if it's the taxes or what that is causing the high prices on menu of most of the 4 star and above properties in Kolkata. Also, the room size is excellent for a couple, but will feel small for a family. If you have kids, go for their largest / suite kind of room.

The location is amazing. I stayed in the Premier Suite which is in the Heritage Wing. The rooms are huge and well spaced. Fitted with all amenities you need including a coffee machine. There are ample windows. The bed and the pillows super comfortable. Service by the staff is top notch. The location of the hotel is the most convenient. Some of the things which I feel should be improved: Quality of the towels - they need to be replaced with some new and fluffy ones. The current ones are too thin. The coffee at their breakfast restaurant needs to be better. Overall this hotel is very good value for money.

Had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The reception to in room dining and the security staff, everyone was extremely polite and helpful. This was our 3rd or fourth stay here. It’s like our home away from home, every time we are in Kolkata. The food at the restaurant was excellent. There is also an in-house spa which was very well equipped and the massage therapist Surela was very well trained. Nawab, the hair stylist is very well trained too and did my hair look really nice. He took time to do the hair treatment, without trying to hurry up.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Kenilworth Hotel, Kolkata, and was truly impressed by the warmth and hospitality of the staff. They went above and beyond to make the experience delightful, always welcoming and proactive in assisting with any needs. The hotel's attention to detail and customer care is truly commendable. I look forward to visiting again and experiencing their wonderful service!

The only minor drawback was that the room I stayed in faced a building under construction, which occasionally caused some noise. I believe this is a temporary situation, and it didn’t diminish the overall quality of my stay.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive. They organised an airport pick up and drop off with no issues. The neighbourhood was central and safe. My husband was sick when we arrived and spent time in the room recovering. I need to make a special mention of KANHAIYA from BIHAR who works in housekeeping who went above and beyond to help my husband be clean and comfortable during his sickness. He looked after our room and took special care. He did an amazing job and we wish him well in life and hope that he continues to prosper as a dedicated employee at the Kenilworth.

After doing some research & out of all the options available (some more economical), I chose Kenilworth Hotel as it was convenient for my US Visa Interview and very central to all the touristic attractions. It is a clean hotel with courteous staff. I did not have breakfast here as I was busy exploring the city but heard that the food is good. The Lemon Tea provided in the room was a big hit !! Even on my check-out day, the hotel was very helpful in keeping my luggage and allowing me to use the Spa for refreshing myself before heading out to the airport. Thank you Kenilworth Hotel for the hospitality. I will definitely be coming back again... This is my go-to hotel whenever I visit Kolkata !!

Location accessibility to shopping and eating places and being so centrally located

Denied access to a room which could have helped my wife to resolve the problem of having regular shower at the hotel The room which was shown to us on checking in to resolve this issue was totally unacceptable as the shower enclosure in that room Is laid out in a way which enables water to slip through the entire bathroom and I must say that we ere not used to having to use wet bathrooms

Kolkata is a busy city where you need a safe and calm haven to return to at the end of the day. The hotel is close to the city center, yet is in a quieter neighbourhood. When you enter the front door you immediately know that you're in the right place.

Honestly, there's nothing to not like at Kenilworth. Maybe the AC in the lobby could have been set to a somewhat higher temperature. Arriving from the steaming hot city and being completely wet, the temperature contrast is quite a schock.
