A small secluded patch of tropical paradise, tucked away in the countryside on the outskirts of Ashwen. Close to the main village and beach, but far enough away from the hussle. Lovely private timber cottages with all the amenities and each surrounded with beautiful lush gardens. We stayed in one of the larger cottages, which has a living room and bigger patio. The outdoor bath is wonderfully massive and great to relax and read a book in. The outdoor bamboo shower is also fabulous. The rooms are well appointed and a perfect size. The double bed is large and very comfortable. There's free yoga every morning and if you haven't tried it then, do. I did for the first time ever and it really set met up for the day. There's great food and a well stocked bar situated next to the swimming pool. The breakfast plentiful and the lunch and evening meal dishes are delicious. The swimming pool is perfect and there's a sense of partly being in a jungle due to all the beautiful landscaping and planting All the staff are lovely, friendly and very helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them. We stayed here for 6 days after 2 weeks mountain and jungle trekking and 4 days in Kolkata and New Dehli. A better antidote you could not ask for. If you want a quiet break in a super relaxed environment then this is the place. I definitely recommend this small discrete resort and I'll also certainly likely stay in one of the other Larisa resorts next time I'm in India.
There are really minor areas where attention to detail in housekeeping and service could easily be addressed with a bit more training and supervision, for no other reason than to improve what is already a great guest experience. I spoke to Dev, the Manager and he's already onto it.

Hidden gem in Ashwem. Excellent facilities, staff are very friendly, hardworking, approachable and professional. The staff especially Kritika, Arun, Hitesh and Virender went over and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The food menu is well catered for with multi cuisine options. The resort also has excellent in house spa options if you are after a relaxing massage. The resort can also recommend a contact for renting a car to explore the area or if you are after a boat cruise. Morjim Beach is more accessible if you have elderly family members rather than Ashwem side which is slightly hilly with steps to access the beach. Beachside restaurants like Goafornia, Azule and Tomato's are must visit. Tip on commute: Choose airport in MOPA (GOX) to save time on commute to resort due to heavy construction in process on the way to Panjim.
Nothing to comment.

Absolutely everything about this place was beyond exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the warmest, most genuine hospitality. Every single staff member—from housekeeping to room service to the front desk—went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. A special shoutout to Sukirin and Sunil, who truly made our trip unforgettable. They went above and beyond to take care of every detail of our stay, ensuring that everything we needed was right at our fingertips. Their attention to detail, professionalism, and personal touch made all the difference. The resort itself is stunning—a perfect blend of luxury and nature. The scenic beauty all around, the lush greenery, and the peaceful ambiance make it an ideal escape from the hustle and bustle. Whether you're lounging by the pool, enjoying the views, or simply relaxing in the beautifully designed rooms, you’ll feel completely at peace. This is more than just a resort—it’s an experience. A must-visit for anyone looking to unwind, reconnect with nature, and be pampered by some of the best hospitality we’ve ever experienced. Can’t wait to visit again!

The property is beautiful and uncluttered. Comfortable and uber spacious rooms. Fantastic bathrooms. Excellent staff. Went over and beyond to accommodate us and our wants. Prompt service.
The spa is not yet done. It is barely functional and they don't have their own therapists or products. They outsourced it to another therapist who came with all of 2 oils. No calming music, no staff, no welcome drink. I understand that it is yet to be fully functional. But the facilities should not be offered to guests unless fully equipped. A severe flaw by the management.

The clean accommodation was well-designed, modern and spacious and surrounded by beautiful tropical gardens. Friendly staff and good housekeeping service.
Although the staff in the dining area were very kind, after the first evening, we went out every day for lunch and dinner as the food was particularly poor.. the first evening they had run out of white wine. breakfast was disorganised with all guests eating outside the main dining area and laying their own tables. Some days no coffee, no juice and the waiting staff cooking the breakfasts. We were there 14 days and this meant double taxi rides every day to alternatives. The poor staff don’t seem to get proper days off and work without a break from morning to night. Although a great boutique resort, the dining experience would mean we wouldn’t go back despite lovely staff. We didn’t see a senior manager throughout our stay despite asking for one when they ran out of coffee at breakfast!

Well, when we booked the property we didn't know what to expect. When we got to the property we had our first shock: we were greeted with a cold towel (which comes handy in the warm weather), fresh coconut water and lots of smile. Devendra, the duty manager and his staff were very welcoming. There was nothing complicated about them, just nice and friendly vibe welcoming you. You leave the hustle and bustle of Ashwem, Goa at the gate. Mornings we had breakfast (India and continental) under the trees with friendly staff serving you and doing everything to make your stay a pleasant one. One thing that we really liked about this place is the vegetation. The property has lots of tropical plants and trees: the surrounding is just beautiful. On mornings I would sit on the porch and watch the birds jumping from branch to branch. Its just a beautiful surrounding and one which brings you into a state of rest in busy North Goa. The staff is also amazing. Mornings, afternoons and evenings they work tirelessly to keep up their gem of a place they have created. Watering the plants, serving you food, cleaning the rooms, sweeping the pathways, they put on a broad smile on their faces (you would say its typical of the Indian culture, but this on you feel it is well meant). And the location is great! It's off the road from the hustle and bustle of Ashwem, Goa so you have no problem with the noise. It is a quiet, nice and peaceful place to stay at. Oh, and they bring taking a shower under the stars to the next level. There is an outside douche space, amazing feeling of freedom. And outside the have this huge tub. This is a place you should really visit and just enjoy it.
Well, after writing all those positives, there isn't much we didn't like about the place. Being a new property they still have to get some things done for example the spa. It was not yet functional. They offered to arranged a place for us but that was not necessary. Also for a 4+ property they have no gym (but who cares when you are on holiday). The property has lots of privacy but some front doors open right onto the porch of the adjacent bungalow. All in all they still have to go an extra mile to really make the property live up to its name. I have all hope and trust in Devendra that he will bring this property to the standards of a real 4-star plus place to stay.

Great intimate hotel with very friendy employees. It's of course a bit further away from the sea, but the whole property is lush and green and it feels great to be here. The rooms are large and the pool is refreshing and clean. I saw some people complaining about the breakfast in the reviews but we found it very good.
They had a BBQ afternoon twice when we were there and we were the only guests, which made us feel sorry for them. I wish they promoted this event more so that other people could experience it, too!

The staff's dedication to excellence was instrumental in making our stay at Larisa Resort Ashwen exceptional. Despite a health setback early on, Shalini from guest services proved to be a guardian angel, swiftly organising a trip for us to the pharmacy for the necessary medications I needed. Her swift response set the tone for exceptional service throughout our stay. Shalini's thoughtful arrangements extended beyond my health concerns, orchestrating seamless transportation for us to and back from the Mandrem beach. She would be a significant asset to any organisation. The cottage suite (104) we stayed in was a sanctuary of comfort, with attention to detail in design and amenities that created a home away from home ambiance. The outside shower and bath were a wonderful addition, and the overall layout allowed us to relax and recharge while still being conveniently located for the resort amenities. Our room was maintained by the housekeeping team impeccably and our privacy was consistently respected. Our stay was made even more enjoyable by our culinary experience. Mukesh and his team's exceptional hospitality and commitment to culinary excellence made each meal a memorable journey. The team was open to accommodating any request, even if it wasn't part of the menu. The website's photos fail to capture the true beauty of the lush landscapes on the grounds. Having experienced numerous luxury hotels globally, none compare to the remarkable work of the skilled landscaper and dedicated gardening team who maintain these lush green gardens. Throughout our stay, we experienced a genuine sense of care due to the resort's dedication to guest satisfaction and commitment to exceeding expectations. In summary, our 6-night retreat we took at Larisa Resort Ashwen was a blend of luxury, personalised service, and superb attention to detail.

The room is excellently sized and very comfortable. The highlight is the outdoor shower which gives a unique experience and makes you feel truly one with nature. The staff is polite and helpful. It's a short walk to the beach and is in a quiet location.
There could be better provision to tackle bugs and mosquitos which are present in the sitting area outside.

It’s very peaceful in a tranquil setting in the Forrest. Is about a 20 minute walking into town. And about 45 mins into the main part. The food and staff are excellent so we were happy to hang around the resort,
I would have liked to be closer to town but I think that would soil the peace and quiet . If you don’t think insects or creatures of the Forrest then this may not be the place for you.
