If you want to experience luxury in an old world setting this is definitely the place to stay. KTDC manages the property so well, and the staff's attention to detail is very much noticed and appreciated. When you go, do visit their Ayurvedic spa and spend some time getting a massage. It is fully worth it, and the Akka in charge is very professional and skilled. Will definitely stay again next time we come to Munnar

1. It was a visually appealing property. Very well kept and maintained. The flora and fauna added to the appeal as one would wake up to melodious chirping of birds. 2. The staff were kind and sweet to speak to. 3. The central location of the property helped as we were able to cover most scenic spots as well as local markets Overall it was a good experience

1. For buffet meals, the staff had to be constantly reminded to refill the food. We’d have to wait for > 15 mins at times for some food item to be made available. But the staff was kind enough to make it reach your table directly. 2. We had a flight delay and requested the staff to allow us a late check out. However the staff did not agree to it, despite the property being reasonably vacant.

The reception area was gorgeous. Location quite close to town, easy to walk down and grab a tuk tuk or the hotel was able to arrange transport as well. Option to have food on site always good (though note only buffet available, no a la carte)

The rooms are spread out over the ridge, meaning if you happened to get a room far away from reception it was quite a walk, worth noting if any mobility impairments.

Great location in middle of Munnar but surrounded by beautiful countryside. Our rooms were spacious, well maintained and overlooked the tea plantations. Check in was easy and the staff were very helpful. The restaurant offered a good choice of food both at breakfast and dinner.

The beer parlour only offered beer and wine. A couple of members of our party only drink spirits so it would have been nice if a wider choice was offered and they could have joined us when we had a drink in the evenings.

An impressive hotel which we were pleased to find actually served alcohol 🍺 Pleasant, well appointed and good sized rooms. A good restaurant albeit they served a buffet both evenings and the one lunchtime we were there, and we had to ‘push’ a little to be allowed to order from menu.

Nothing except an early indication from the staff that we couldn’t order from a menu and would need to choose from the fixed price buffet. We did challenge and all was ok in the end

Great location. Short (but hilly) walk into the centre of Munnar. Very attractive properties set in beautifully maintained gardens. All the staff were very attentive and helpful. Reception staff were able to arrange a car/driver to take us on a tour of the tea plantations and other places of interest.

Everything was great. From the balcony there was a wonderful view of the mountain. The staff was very kind and helped us with everything. Breakfasts were traditional, very tasty. Very well-kept territory.

The only thing that can be improved is to equip the parking, there is a lot of dust, it was uncomfortable.

The location !

The room was infact wet due to the moist. It’s kind of watery on the floor. Also, though the food what is served was good in taste it is sort of monotonous. Most of the food what is served was a typical Malayali food by and large. It could have been bit more tourist friendly with more varieties with fusion taste. It can also consider to provide orthodox Kerala dishes as desert which would give other state tourist to know more about Kerala traditional specialities.

A superb property with an excellent location right at the centre of the town. The rooms, lobby, and gardens were immaculate. Very well done!

The food department needs motivation, imagination and willingness to excel. There is a huge untapped potential owing to the location and excellent infrastructure.

Good service, helpful staff, great location, rooms are clean, delicious and quality breakfast. Hot water available in bathroom always which is important in a cold place like Munnar.

These are not complaints, but suggestions. The parking lot can be little near to the lobby or cottages, it's too far especially when it rains. They could have included more English breakfast items, as most of the servings are South Indian dishes, which is of super quality and delicious. Little expensive compared to other hotels.
