Amazing place in the nature, surrounded with monkeys and dears, chilling just in front of the vila on the beach. Food was delicious, stuff was so profesional, caring and kind. It truly is the quite gem of Bali. We will definitely come back!

Cost of snorkel hire. I would have liked the division of areas to be clearer in the booking.com post. FYI, there are three area: beachside villas (including a private residence) and seafood restaurant, a set of villas in the bush which is 2km from the beach, and Bali tower which is 800m or so from the bush villas.

The staff were excellent - GilGil was always nearby to provide any assistance needed and every request (mainly for activity bookings etc) was responded to very quickly. We upgraded to beach cottages on arrival and they were superb. All food and drinks were very good.

Only slight downside was that the beach directly in front of the rooms, while very pretty and a great spot for reading, snoozing or watching the monkeys, deer and other animals wandering past, isn't really suitable for swimming as the sea there is extremely shallow. A better spot for swimming is just a few minutes' walk away next to the jetty.

The hotel's location is truly exceptional, nestled in the heart of the national park. For our family, we had the residence, each with wonderfully attentive and charming personal staff. The view is fantastic, and the pool is perfect for relaxing while enjoying the scenery. Overall, the staff is extraordinarily friendly and accommodating. Everything we participated in or booked as part of the program was impressively well-organized. We would return anytime. Sometimes, the monkeys can be a little mischievous—once, they even stole our breakfast! But the staff is always vigilant in keeping them away from the breakfast tables. A little adventure included! 😊

The Menjangan is an amazing place to stay. Immersed in the national park - you get to the best of the jungle and beach. The staff are absolutely phenomenal and very kind. Their facilities are spotless. The wildlife is everywhere, and you take a bus between the beach and the main lobby which provides an amazing chance to see wildlife too. The monkeys are very clever so make sure to listen to the staff when they tell you to lock your doors! The resort is also near town, which is a great place to go and get local food. Highly recommend staying here.

There are simply no words! We had a perfect 6-night stay at the Menjangan and we are so sad to leave it. Some highlights (of many): - The staff are simply terrific, and miles above our previous experiences at luxury resorts: attentive, quick, very kind, and extremely helpful, all whilst being very unimposing. We were given two handwritten and personally signed cards congratulating us on our honeymoon upon arrival and check-out - Gorgeous (and huge) beach villa, with stunning views all day long. There is a real sense of peace when waking up in what sometimes felt like our own desert island - Exceptionally comfortable bed - I cannot stress this enough, particularly as am writing this review from our next hotel, which is much more expensive and with a terrible mattress - Great facilities in the room - good AC, large shower and bath, super comfy seating areas, homemade cookies provided every day - Great shared facilities - Monsoon Lodge pool is lovely and feels like a hidden secret (particularly when you go in a low season and you have it all to yourself, save some menjangan deer!), Bali Tower views are grandiose, and everything is well-maintained. - Fantastic selection of activities: we went bird watching with a terrific tour guide, snorkelling (saw two sea turtles), snorkelling off the jetty (saw a sea turtle), and I had an amazing Balinese massage at the Mangrove spa (full of little surprises, like the mirror underneath the massage bed so I could see the ocean during the massage). There is lots more to choose from - diving, kayaking, horse riding.. - Great food and possibly even better coffee - Brilliant housekeeping - turn down service the best we’ve ever experienced

Every staff member was absolutely wonderful. Eager to please and arrange everything for you, and so happy and polite. Can't say enough good things about the staff. Nice quiet beach villas with monkeys, deer, squirrels, birds wandering past on the beach in front of the room. Big comfy bed, BIG breakfast included. Good food, low-cost happy hours. Snorkeling at Menjangan Island, and even at the resort jetty, was amazing. Sea is placid here - no surf. Day trips by car to waterfalls, lakes, temples, coffee plantation, mountain-top restaurant, all wonderful.

We had one of the rooms by the pool, which was large, clean and comfortable. The hotel has a safari-bus which is available to shuttle you from room to beach to restaurants - this was a great idea. Staff were helpful and there are lots of activities on offer. We did a birdwatching walk with Alit which was really good, it was wonderful to hear his pride in what the national park has achieved in terms of preserving rare species. I loved the view from the jetty area, and we also saw deer in the park!

Not the best beach for swimming off - the area where the sunloungers are is not suitable for swimming, instead you have to go a short walk to the jetty - it is possible to swim and snorkel off the end of the jetty. There are a couple of loungers by the jetty but they are not served by the restaurant, there are no towels there etc.

This is a classy resort situated within the West Bali National Park. We stayed in the Monsoon Lodge which had a spacious bedroom and bathroom with excellent facilities. The resort had a beach restaurant and a tree-canopy tower restaurant which were both superb. Chefs and waiters went out of their way to address our dietary requirements. All staff were very friendly and professional. We requested a birdwatching trek and a jungle trek, and were lucky enough both times to be assigned the very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide Alet.

We chose Menjanggan for its location and facilities. The room was spacious with good air conditioning and comfy beds. But the biggest plus for us as birders was the Bali Tower and the rainforest at our doorstep. We could start birding early to capture the morning activities from the ground and from the tower. The top level of the tower is above the canopy, so you can see everything from above. Inside the resort you can explore the forest on your own, freely which is not common in Bali. During our stay we had one birding day outside the resort at the salt pans with a local guy, Alit which was also great. We had a great experience and can fully recommend the place.
