The Utama , was in a great location. It had a small beachfront, and a lovely pool. The snorkelling was pretty good so lots of fish and a few people spotted turtles. You do need flippers though as the current can be quite strong . It was a long narrow property and at the top there was a small street of some great well priced restaurants. The main town was about a five minute drive plenty of drivers about to take you there. It was a 35 minute walk on narrow pathways and a busy Road . The villa accommodation was comfortable and clean , good air conditioning, but fairly basic. The front four units would be great to stay as they have wonderful views. The rest of the units were in a long line so not much of a view but pretty gardens. The staff were always very friendly their English not terribly good but we understood each other. We had eight days there in a group of seven. I thought perhaps eight days was too long about 6 would’ve been great. But all in all it was certainly very cheap for our eight nights. It was nice to be able to spend the money on other things. Especially all the local restaurants. Two massage places pretty much next door so we made good use of them. ATM very close by. On my last day I had 120 minute Bali massage and I think it’s one of the best messages I’ve ever had 😀

Not much really - but facilities pretty basic, but the usual things about not flushing toilet paper down the loo , and the showers not running that well is pretty standard throughout Bali. Not the properties fault but only a small beach area so couldn’t take long strolls along the beach.

I highly recommend this hotel. The cottages are located practically right on the beach with a calm ocean. Compared to other parts of the island, the waves here are relatively small, and the water is clean and warm. Additionally, there is a pool with a view of the ocean available for use. The conditions in the cottages are decent, everything is clean, and there is nothing to complain about. The food in the restaurant is excellent, fresh, and of high quality. However, what touched us the most were the people—the entire staff is incredibly friendly. They were very eager to talk with us, sharing stories about the island, local customs, and everyday life. My husband and I have traveled to many places around the world, but we have never formed such a warm and close relationship with the staff as we did at Utama Villas. We will remember our stay for the rest of our lives! We extend our heartfelt thanks and wish the hotel continued success and constant occupancy.

Food is amazing. The chef needs a pay rise for his kitchen skills. Best seafood I've ever had. So fresh, well cooked and delicious. Try the 250 grams red snapper and grilled prawns. Pineapple juice is fantastic. But the food wasn't as good in the morning and at lunch when the chef wasn't there. When he is cooking it's way better! Hats off to you chef! Great job! Owner was so kind to rent us her motorbike for a good price. We really enjoyed our stay, very nice people and very relaxing.

Since it's next to the beach, it's understandable that there is sand, but the room just felt sandy. Towels could be cleaner.

Great location, quiet. Pool overlooks the beach. Pool lounges. Direct beach access. Comfortable bed and nice linen, good shower. Outdoor verandah which caught the afternoon breeze. Restaurant at the front was great. Coffee shop next door was lovely.

No fridge in our room. Towels not changed frequently ( only stayed 3 nights)

The garden walk where the bungalows are is beautiful. The pool with ocean view is wonderful and so convenient. I appreciate the quiet neighborhood but still with plenty of dining options.

There seems to be some mold in the ocean front room bathrooms. It seems normal given the humid environment but maybe not best for those sensitive to mold.

The owners and staff are absolutely delightful, very lovely and accomodating. They will help provide car transport if required as there is no grab or gojek there. The rooms were cleaned every day. I’ve been travelling in Bali for one months now and I can say I’ve had the best sleep here. The beds are comfortable, ac works well and the cleanliness is good. Beautiful ocean view in front you can hire a boat to to take you snorkeling and even Nusa Penida is 30 mins by boat. The sound of the ocean waves in the evening makes it much more charming!

I found the hidden gem ! Location near by the main street area, the staff so helpful, the room was clean, the bed was huge ! And the greatest thing is the private beach ! I am so in love with this area and definetely will come back soon to this villa ! Thank you bu wayan for your hospitality ❤️

Beautiful place , comfortable rooms with beautiful sea view. Staff was amazing and so kind, helpful. They have a good reasturant and food was amazing . Everything is value for your money . Highly recommended as a good hotel in the area.

First room we had booked was not acceptable it had black mould on the walls and a overwhelming smell of dampness. We moved rooms as we could not stay in there. We had to pay extra to move rooms.

This was my second trip, they are very welcoming and accomodating. Room is cleaned daily. The rooms are lovely and the ac works really well. It’s a great place for a few nights if you plan to go around the East, North of Bali. Great snorkeling spots close by. I’ll be back :)
