A very nice, relaxing stay! We coincided with the low season and had the pool and jacuzzi to ourselves! Service was excellent! We would like to particularly commend our host Ari from the restaurant— superb service, good (self taught!) English, going the extra mile to ensure we had enough to eat for our takeout breakfast (we had to checkout early cos of early flight). Proximity to the black beach was also a plus! Many local eateries in the beach area.

Just a suggestion: would be nice to update some dated facilities such as providing usb ports instead of only power plugs, and combining separate hot and cold water taps. The table where water bottles were placed also had many ants. While the resort was linked to the black beach, we realised there was no security — which meant anyone could just walk into the resort premises.

Nice room, very big and clean. Beautiful property and very friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast and dinner selection in the restaurant.

Only 5 daybeds and some small bean bags by the pool, which is not enough for the size of the hotel and many people did not have room to lounge by the pool. Beach adjacent to the property had a lot of trash.

I’ve wanted to stay at this hotel for so long, and the opportunity finally came up over Nyepi—it was everything I had hoped for and more. The property is absolutely beautiful, regal, and immaculately clean. My upper-level room was light, bright, and free from any mold, making for such a fresh and comfortable stay. A very quiet location away from the bustle of Bali. The grounds are simply spectacular, and the pool… well, it felt like 500 meters long! Swimming there was an absolute dream. The energy of this place is incredible—peaceful, luxurious, and right on a little beach, making it feel even more special. The staff were incredibly kind, and their English was great, making everything smooth and welcoming. For a five-star experience in such a quiet, magical location, the pricing was beyond fair. Considering the value—including the amazing food—I could have stayed somewhere in Ubud for the same price and had a much less enjoyable experience. Instead, I was standing on the beach, looking back at the hotel, thinking, "Oh my, my dream has come true." So very thankful for this stay—it exceeded all expectations. Highly recommend!

Loved room, breakfast, pool, function room (wish there were more games in the funtion room). Enjoyed that my pizza was brought to the function room so we can play chess and listen to relaxing music while eating.

The hotel was perfect, but the location was not convinient. Had to hire private driver.. I would have appreciated a shuttle to safari. We walked, but location is not built for safely walking due to traffic. No one walks. I would have liked if hotel had a shuttle to Ubud or nearby city for shopping.

The facilities are very nice. The mansion is very big and very well decorated. Swimming pool is very nice. Rooms are very well equiped, confy and quite luxury. We slept very well. It is quite and calm. The view is nice. Breakfast is very good as well. The location is practical to visit around the rice terrace, the old capital or other temples.

Despite a very nice staff in the evening the kitchen struggled to provide a good service - we waited more than an hour to get our food so this is a bit disappointed v/ the standing of the hotel.

The hotel has a colonial feel to it. The building is magnificent! The staff are all very service minded I will not forget there smile! A special "shout out " to Mrs. Jennifer Chen, the front desk manager. She went out of her way to make my stay as pleasurable as can be. Mr.Ardana the chef of the restaurant, Jaya, Annie, Agus Yoga and most important Nanda! Last but not least Mrs. Agustin of the front office. And all staff who's name i forgot to mention!

Unfortunately, we weren't able to experience this hotel to the full extent as we arrived very late and had to leave early the next morning to get to the boat harbour. Consequently we only saw one person, who checked us in! When we left we just about saw the beautiful breakfast area and pool but it was before dawn so didn't see much. What a shame, it looked like a beautiful hotel. The room was spacious, clean and with a nice sized en-suite.

Would have been nice to see it in the daylight!

We took 2 rooms. In one room the AC was ok and in the other one it was so loud , like a jet engine Also, if you struggle sleeping with noise, ensure you book the ocean view so it’s far away from the road. The food in the restaurant was not 5 star. Surprising for Bali.

Old style hote, clean, very friendly staff, good kitchen, large pool, spacious in every aspect, and the constant breeze in the lobby is so refreshing! Rich amenities. Beautiful garden.

We had a room on the roadside and the room was a bit noisy. The windows could use double isolation planes. If you are a good sleeper, it's not an issue. Otherwise, there are free earplugs available in the amenities box.

Absolutely stunning resort. Former villa transformed with colonial influence into a grand hotel. Staff were attentive and helpful. If you want a less crowded and more relaxed Bali experience, this is definitely the place. Only 30 mins from Ubud and 45 from Denpasar on the black sands of Keremas Beach. There isn’t much else to do but relax by the beautiful infinity pool with a cocktail! When we visit Bali again, we’ll come straight here and avoid the overpriced, over crowded areas like Uluwatu.

The beach had a fair bit of litter which was a shame because everything else was perfect. There isn’t much to do in the local area but there is a great surf break and it only cost $12 in a Go-Jek car to get to Ubud.
