The staff were beautiful, kind and helpful. The rooms were spacious and wonderful for families. Our children had ample room to play during those times they were too tired to be out in the pool. The pool was exceptional!

The location of the resort was so far away from anything and the shuttle running 1x per day at 10 was not reasonable. The restaurant was overpriced but so often with children and being unable to walk somewhere nearby we were obligated to eat and drink there. $5 per can of coke zero after service and government charge is too much. Many of the powerpoints in our room did not work which was frustrating.

The Ramayana is an absolute slice of paradise. Located right on the ocean you can hear the waves crash and the birds sing. I had a junior suite which was extremely spacious, tastefully decorated and impeccably clean. My bed was so comfortable - like sleeping on a cloud. The pool area has lots of sun lounges and the pool itself was clean and inviting. We spent a lot of time swimming there. The restaurant was fabulous. We ate all our meals here. A delicious, fresh buffet breakfast every morning and yummy dinners too. All served at a table with a stunning view over the sea. We also appreciated the complimentary afternoon tea which was tasty and generous. The spa is one of the most beautiful I have been to Bali. I had four treatments here and they were all wonderful. The staff were gorgeous and my massages and facial left me feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. The whole ambiance of the Ramayana leaves you feeling peaceful and relaxed. Koi fish filled pools along the paths, lush gardens, high ceiling pavilions and water fountains abound. The Ramayana’s greatest signature is the staff. They are all so welcoming and friendly. They always took time to say hello and many actually called me by my name. This was so touching in a world of tourism which can be quite impersonal these days. The Ramayana is an amazing hotel with a lovely, authentic Balinese welcome. This was my first trip but it definitely won’t be my last. Thank you to all the staff. We’ll be back next year.

We spent a beautiful week at Ramayana Candidasa Beach Resort and Spa, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! Although we have visited Candidasa many times before, this was our first time staying at this hotel — and choosing Ramayana Candidasa Beach Resort was the best decision we could have made. The service was absolutely amazing, with beautiful and kind staff who made us feel so welcome and well looked after every day. The cleanliness of the entire resort was impeccable, room service was prompt and excellent, and the internet speed was surprisingly fast, which made everything even more comfortable. A special mention must go to Garpu Restaurant — without a doubt, one of the best restaurants in Bali we’ve experienced so far. The service was outstanding, and every dish was just wonderful. A very big thanks and heartfelt compliments to Kadek and her amazing team, who took such good care of us throughout our stay. We also treated ourselves at the Rama Spa, which was truly the icing sugar on the cake. We tried many different massages during the week, and each one was equally professional, relaxing, and simply delightful. This resort is highly recommended to anyone looking for a peaceful and high-quality stay with genuine Balinese hospitality. We are definitely coming back for a couple more weeks to enjoy this amazing place again! Thank you to the entire Ramayana Candidasa Beach Resort team for making our stay so special!

This resort was awesome, staff were very welcoming, amazing location, great pool, we had interconnecting family room which was very roomy and very comfortable, great comfy beds. Breakfast was lovely.

Careful not to make activity arrangements through staff at restaurant, we did but when it was pooring rain for the activity, we spoke to them directly about not progressing however the restaurant staff member tracked us down later by mobile phone through another staff member at the restaurant and made us feel awkward and guilty about not proceeding. This did not ruin our experience, we loved staying here.

We loved being right on the beach. It was amazing watching it change.....stormy and calm. The staff were amazing - friendly and super helpful. It was super relaxing and easy to access the surrounding areas with a driver. We enjoyed all meals we had at the restaurant

The only negative was that it was some distance from the centre of town. Although the hotel supplied a shuttle bus it would have been nice to have a bit more freedom to come and go rather than rely on the bus

The ambience of old world bali charm beautiful hotel the staff are amazing and treat its guest with warmth as if your family. The breakfast is fantastic and caters for nearly all tastes we ate in for dinner about 4 nights and each meal was fresh and delicious over looking the ocean the pool is deep and perfect for cooling off

There is nothing we didn't like the only comment we would make, we stayed in an ocean front bungalow well worth it but these rooms are looking a little tired and could definitely do with an upgrade, if your going to be asking those prices

Fantastic hotel, staff were absolutely fantastic! So kind and helpful, the reception staff helped me arrange my transportation to my next location which was really kind. The pool area was lovely, comfortable and clean sun loungers and fantastic dinner in the evenings. The food was delicious and live music just set the ambience. I should mention the bed was soo comfortable, memory foam mattress was a dream!

The location is great, staff & service were excellent The room was a great size, excellent A/C & the shower was very good except the water took a long time to drain. Breakfast selection was excellent & well presented. Overall would recommend and would return.

The egg station at breakfast was too slow and one time it came out over cooked & cold. There could be more service around the pool area. Also clearing of food & beverages by the pool is very slow. Some of the pool towels were very old & had holes and stains.

The hotel is ideal for relaxation and as a base for exploring the region, but those looking for beach access or varied dining options should consider transportation needs in advance The restaurant was decent, with some good options, but eating there for all seven days became a bit monotonous.

There are no beaches within walking distance, and you’ll need a taxi or bike to get to a beach or alternative restaurants.
