Kade made me feel so welcome, she took care of everything (fantastic snorkeling trip with a small group of people). I learned a lot from her, she is a lovely person. Great location, walking distance from the main street but far enough so you don't hear the noise at night. Pretty garden which you can enjoy sitting outside of your room. Great laundry service and the possibility to refill your water bottle for free. I stayed more than 1 night.

1 nigth in September. Everything was absolutely perfect. If we can call this place a little paradise, then let's call it that! A true haven of peace, very quiet, my room was really spacious for just me, beautifully decorated and with a personal terrace. I loved the welcome and the meeting with Mrs. Rumah Kundun, whom I deeply thank for all her explanations, her humor, and her gift that touched me immensely (I am thinking of you in France, see photo). You lack nothing; Rumah rented me a bike directly from her house, which was super convenient, so as soon as I arrived, I was able to tour the island without wasting time since I stayed for only 24 hours. Next time, I will plan for much more time because I loved Gili's Islands ! The icing on the cake is the location, just a 5-minute walk from everything (lots of night bars, shops, restaurants... Gili T at night is a party) and especially from the port, which is great with the luggage :) or you have the horse-drawn tuk-tuks. Thank you for everything, dear Mrs. Rumah Kundun and the kind young man. I will gladly return to your home next time! Terima kasih :)

Absolutely loved our stay here. Location is PERFECT less than a 10 minute walk from the harbour so no need to ride the horses! All the staff were very attentive. Lots of information and advice given to us which we found really helpful. Room was spacious with everything we needed. Sometimes it can be hard travelling with a toddler who wants to touch everything!! But they was all so understanding and SOO helpful! The owner and workers were always out from cleaning and tidying. We loved all our conversations with them. If you stay ask about the BB restraint 3 mins away , it’s amazing and cheap compared to most of the other places on the island! Thank you for having us x

We stayed at Rumah Kundun for 6 nights and it couldn’t have been any better! It’s a perfect place if you’re traveling on a budget. The owner and all of the staff are super friendly and kind. Owner adds a special value since she really takes care of her guests personally. If you need any advice for trips, transport or food recommendations for a good price, don’t be afraid to ask. Location is good, since the island is very small and it’s easy going anywhere with a bike. The place also offers free water refill, bike rental and has a good laundry place just next to it. Special value is also other staff since there is always someone around if you need anything. At the end we wished that we would have stayed longer, since we will miss the place and the people.

Room is very basic, but is spacious in general so that didn't bother us. There isn't hot water, but it isn't really needed. The smell of the towels were a bit smelly, but we got new ones, when we asked so there is nothing negative.

The location of the property is perfect! Kade and her staff are amazing and accommodating. The homestay radiates such positive energy and it’s because of the care and love that Kade and her team puts into it. Kade helped us organize a bike rental, snorkeling trip, and our boat back to lombok. She even provided us with free snorkeling gear so we can see the sea turtles at turtle beach and not have to pay to rent anything! The room is very clean and the breakfast is very yummy!! Overall, i would recommend!! This has been one of the best homestays we have stayed at while in Indonesia.

nothing, everything was perfect

The staff here are hard to beat! So friendly and helpful. A nice beakfast is served on your patio every morning. Although it's on the party end of the beach it's far enough away to be very quiet. It feels a lot like a homestay actually. And the patio is large and great for reading, eating, chilling and drying your wet stuff.

Only one thing I didn't enjoy was the sweet flowery room spray that filled my room when I entered the first time.. It was a little overwhelming and artificial. But after a short time it dissipated. Also I would love to see some warmer lights there. The room is lit with florescent bulbs which are a little unpleasant for me.

I've been coming to this little homestay since 2017. It's very well situated, just a few minutes from the beach, the main street, and a short bike ride away from the sunset point if you go through the center of the island. Norbert and Kade are incredible hosts who have become very good friends over time. They can advise you on things to do in the area or even in Lombok if you plan to go there. The staff is also helpful, and don't get me started on the breakfast. Unfortunately, I keep forgetting to ask Kade for the recipe for the banana pancakes. This place is rejuvenating with a really nice little garden to relax in. The proximity to other vacationers or travelers will easily allow you to make new acquaintances. I highly recommend staying here. I can't wait to return next year.

Very friendly owner, comfortable room, tasty breakfast, good location near main road, air conditioner and internet worked pretty well. Owner lady was very kind to give us a table, so we can study in room and let us use hot water from their kitchen when we need. Place got a beautiful garden and a lovely cat. Thank you very much we enjoyed our stay a lot!

toilet was hard to flush

Kade was such a great host! Helped me to book a snorkeltour to a better price and gave me a lot of other recommendations. Actually I would say this were the best nights of my whole stay in Indonesia so far, such a quite place, but still very central. Stayed a night longer than planned. She also gave me a little present after leaving.

Our stay at Rumah Kundun was fantastic! Candy, the owner, was an excellent host, welcoming us warmly. The house is beautifully decorated, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It’s conveniently close to the center yet in a quiet area away from the noise and far from the mosque. Highly recommend for a wonderful, homey experience.
