Lovely staff. Great location, even thought is right in the middle of the island Centre, which is great as we don’t need to use the horses or walk too far from the ferry, you cannot hear a thing at night as they have soundproof rooms. We got the plunge pool room and it was lovely, super clean, comfy beds, nice swimming pool, nice open toilet with the garden, it was a great experience overall. The food was also really good.

The island has a lot of mouses, and there was some on the roof of the hotel, one of the nights we could hear them running, but my mom who was on the other side of the hotel could not hear it.

I think it depends which room you book here - I got a second floor room with a balcony overlooking the pool and was very comfortable. Included breakfast on the beach was good every day. The pool was small but the right temperature and great for a dip. Staff were very friendly and the location is perfect- walking distance from the port and close to all restaurants and bars but not noisy at night. I am a light sleeper and spent a lot of time trying to find a hotel that was not near a mosque, had a pool and was on the beach. Scallywags was the one in my price range . The seafood bbq dinner was fun and we also had a decent massage at the spa. (I had a better one down the street but can’t remember the name of the place). I would stay here again.

I loved the location on the east side. Very nice little swimming beach in front of hotel. Loved the open air bathroom and open shower. Room was neat and tidy and even provided gowns. Walking distance to all east side bars and party venues. Easy accessible rooms with a lot of privacy. Did not feel cramped. Stunning (but expensive) BBQ on site. I saw one crayfish being sold for 4 million Rupiah. Near cocktail strip. I'LL BE BACK!

Somewhat of an odour near pool area. Very busy street right in front. Set menu for breakfast with a couple of options to choose from. Might become old news when having an extended stay. Minibar containing 2 beers, 4 sodas and two waters is not complimentary.

Scallywags on Gili T was the perfect island getaway! The location is unbeatable—right on the beach, with stunning ocean views from the restaurant. We loved starting our days with their yummy breakfast, enjoying the fresh sea breeze as we ate. In the evening, the grill dinners were a highlight—absolutely delicious, especially with the ocean as the backdrop. Our room was spacious, super clean, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was massive and cozy, and the room stayed refreshingly cool, which was perfect after a day in the sun. Everything about Scallywags is convenient—there are bikes for hire right out front, and the location made it easy to walk to all the best spots on the island. Plus, having a convenience store right next door was such a bonus. If you’re looking for comfort, great food, and an unbeatable location, Scallywags is a fantastic choice on Gili T!

Although the room has incredible beach views and double glazing on the windows, the night life can be a little noisy if you want to sleep before 10:30pm

Was given a garden room.... lovely outside bathroom in a garden setting at the back. Small verandah and garden at front. Very quiet clean and had lovely ambiance.great pool good food and drink service. Great barbecue restaurant on the sand. Close to the port

Had to get another room for my sister. It was not very nice. No!! Natural light.window opened to a 2 story wall 10 inches away and because no airflow the room smelt awful really musty and mouldy, and this cost almost as much as my garden room.if you stay make sure you get a garden room or a balcony!!!!

Loved the location and thought the value was great. Located on the southeast end of Gili T, it’s walking distance from the port so you don’t have to use the horses. Close to the nightlife and party scene but far enough away that our room was totally quiet at night. The property is also far enough from the mosque that you don’t really hear the call to prayer constantly, this is a problem at other hotels. They decorated our bed for our honeymoon which was a nice touch. The included breakfast was delicious and filling, and we loved utilizing the the daybeds on the beach free for hotel guests. The hotel pool is very private and quiet since it is in the courtyard, whereas other hotels have their pools right in front next to the main road. We rented bikes out front from their recommended vendor for 50k idr for a full 24 hour rental and thought the price was fair enough for the convenience.

Outdoor shower was beautiful but we did experience some mosquitoes in the bathroom. A mosquito net over the bed would have made us feel better as we did get a few bites throughout our stay. The doors to the room do not seal well enough to keep all mosquitoes out. Make sure you wear mosquito repellent outdoors at the very least.

The property is a 10 minute walk from the port, however it is on the main strip. We had no problem with the music until the early hours but at 5am the wailing tower woke me up which is fine, that’s their faith. The next morning someone played music at sunrise at a high volume which I felt was a bit inconsiderate. The room was small, nice and comfortable. We paid extra for the ocean view room but the windows were quite dirty and the place could do with a lick of paint. Focusing on the positives, the location is convenient as it’s walking distance of everything however we hide the bikes at 50,000 each (which is about £2.50) for 24 hours, although we had them for about 28 and we did several laps of the island. Is a fab place and a trip to Gili Meno it’s highly recommended.

We loved the location. Not far from the harbour and the main strip buzz, but our rooms were quiet and peaceful (and great aircon). Loveliest setting with breakfast, lunch and dinner right on the beach with amazing views. The seafood BBQ was fantastic. The staff are incredible. Always smiling and happy to help. When we first arrived, Rial was very helpful, explaining everything we needed to know on arrival. Staff were always happy to book a cidomo to get to and back from locations a little too far for my older parents to walk. We are all still talking about Rizal Izank and the fantastic service we received from him the entire week. Always helpful, always with a smile, he really managed everything in his stride so professionally. He really helped make our stay a truly memorable one, and one we hope to repeat again soon! He also helped organise our last dinner ...with a table for my parents, my husband and I ...on the beach before he went on leave that afternoon. Andy also provided fantastic service that last night. Big thank you to the entire team!

Our stay at Scallywags Resort in Gili was good. At first, we were a bit disappointed because, based on the photos and the “ocean view” description, we thought it was right next to the ocean, but there’s actually a street in between. However, after exploring the area, we realized that staying on the main street, near the port, or on the opposite side where the outdoor cinema is located are the best spots. Other areas, especially further inside, seemed darker, less lively, and not as nice. The hotel itself was fine—it had everything we needed. We did see other places that looked better, but they were probably more expensive. In the end, Scallywags met our expectations. The hairdryer wasn’t great, but since everything else was fine, it didn’t make much of a difference. We had a window facing the beach (not a balcony), which was a nice touch. The staff was very kind and helpful. They always responded to our requests and even helped us carry our luggage to the port when we left. The best part of the hotel was the breakfast with the ocean view—it was really good! On our last day, my boyfriend went for breakfast while I stayed back to finish packing, and they kindly packed mine to-go, which I really appreciated. Overall, it’s a good option that meets expectations.

Location - 500 meters from the harbour. You can walk to this place. Its also at the end of the chaotic street and not in the center of all the madness. It's close enough for you to explore all the restaurants and bars near by. Also has a great restuarant and some really good barbeque options and a nice street facing bar. The rooms are nice and cosy. Has drinking water tanks in the rooms and lobby areas. You can drink or refill your own bottle. This is really great considering the price of a bottle of water is very high on this island compared to mainland. Staff is helpful and serve with a smile.

Toiletries were not available even on request. Had to run down to a local store early morning for a toothpaste. Bring your own stuff if you're staying here .
