Location close to beach , good staff, nice restaurant, quiet rooms

Buffet breakfast not suitable for vegetarian

This is a great hotel if you're staying around kuta. Staff was really nice, it's right across the beach and a lot of places to eat and drink around. Will definitely book again when we go back to Bali.

The warmth and hospitality of the staff at Alum KulKul was second to none. From the reception staff to the gardeners, everyone was friendly and welcoming, always ready with a smile and greeting and prepared to help in any way possible. The only things I would mention is that, as Westerners, I think we are accustomed to softer beds and so we all found the beds quite hard, however this was quickly fixed with a mattress topper when we mentioned it. The only complaint I would have is the exorbitant price they charged for doing the laundry. Definitely go to a street vendor for that as $55 for four days worth of clothing was extreme! Aside from that, I would highly recommend everything else about the resort. Room service and food were great too.

Good location , perfect representation of traditional Balinese culture and living. The Alam villa was a great little addition of the resort.

I thought that the way the Villa rooms are constructed with the Cain style roof is that the top of the walls don’t fully connect with the roof allowing lots of mosquitos especially during the breeding season now in to your room. Yes bug spray and coils were supplied but it was a constant battle keeping them and the friendly loud Geckos out. The room was great but just thought this could be sealed off to keep it more insect protected.

to tell the truth we didn't like the spa people pushing their services during breakfast. by all means put a brochure in my room or have them in the entrance way but dining/ breakfast needs to be non commercial. 8

The hotel is conveniently situated on the buzzing Kuta beach. Plenty of malls and restaurants nearby. Kuta beach is the heart of touristic areas so it is ideal to start the journey from here. Staffs were extremely friendly and accommodating. We made a few request like really late check in (2 am), 15 mins early breakfast and breakfast box for our early morning trip. All requests were responded with no issues. The rooms were spacious and designed in a resort atmosphere. We had a totally relaxed time.

Alam Lanai room (the cheapest type) was a little old. But it is understandable. Bed linens smelled a little damp.

The service and friendliness of the staff from beginning to end. Day or night, the pool staff, cleaning staff and reception, couldn't do enough for you. Nothing was any trouble for them. The breakfast had plenty of choice, staff so attentive and friendly everyday, went above and beyond! The restaurant at the front of the hotel had great staff and the food and drinks were amazing. They often had music playing most evenings too! We had some beauty treatments too. Best massage I've ever had. The girls were amazing and my facial was so relaxing I fell asleep! The salon was beautifully decorated and the ambience was spot on..

We didn't like the 1st room we were given as it was so far back. Within 20 mins they offered us another room which was in a closer block to the front. This 2nd was great! We had a 2nd floor room. No lift but staff helped with cases. Room probably could do with a few touch ups here and there but didn't affect the stay. Would of liked some draw space to put away clothes maybe! The only negative was we couldn't get anything to dry on our balcony as the sun didn't get through or air flow.

The location is very good, right across the beach. The design is also very nice, with villa ambience in the middle of a busy Kuta beach. The room is spacious, good privacy, and we could even hear birds chirping in the afternoon. The Jamu Spa at this resort is fabulous, must try!

The internet is quite bad. We found it difficult to back-up photos from our phones to the cloud drive. The internet is so bad that the smart TV in the room cannot connect consistently.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable with tv, air-conditioning, inhouse coffee making and minibar. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The pools clean and tidy, with the same dedicated staff daily who were very welcoming and attentive. There was a complimentary christmas eve and new years eve party. The inhouse cafe italian cafe at the front was great for casual dinning and drinks.

The room was a bit musty/damp smell on entry, but once the air conditioning was functioning and we left the bathroom open to air the smell quickly dissipated and was fine for the rest of the stay.

I had my elderly parents with me, I/we didn't like that our room was in the 2nd floor and so was the breakfast/dining area. An accidental fall is one of my greatest fears for them
