Super kind staff that were so helpful and accommodating. The area is pretty rural with limited access to ammenities however, there was no issue in getting to where we needed to go because the staff took care of it for us. Beautiful peaceful surroundings very happy with our stay. Thank you :)

A bit too far away from ammenities

The hotel staff & bungalows were brilliant along with the local area, which was rustic and beautiful at the same time. The rooms are spacious and clean with a large bed and huge bathroom (not really needed). The outside area is kept clean and tidy by hotel staff on a daily basis. If you want replacement towels or coffee just ask and they will provide. Crystal bay beach is 5-10 minute walk away so you can avoid the 5k scooter/car tax, all you need to do is turn right out the hotel and keep going straight past all the houses, over a little mound, past the huge pond and you’ll see the beach in no time. Restaurants on the beach are good and there’s one right down the end (with two umbrellas only) that sell and amazing grilled Tuna. We didn’t have dinner at the hotel but there’s another restaurant a few minutes down the road that sell a great pineacolada. There’s also a spa and local shop if you run out of supplies. I would definitely advise getting your own scooter (either from the harbour or from the hotel reception) rather than private drivers as they much cheaper and makes the island more accessible. Some of the roads are a little bumpy, especially when entering attractions but most are of good standard minus a few pot holes or two. People generally drive slow on the island for obvious reasons and locals are happy to help with directions if your data doesn’t work (which is often the case). If your looking for a chilled, quiet and affordable place to stay then you in the right place.

Only first world problems such as Wi-Fi in the room but hey you’ll be out all day anyways.

At the end of a small road, the location is quiet and relaxing with no noise from other restaurants, bars or hotels. The rooms are exceptionally large and the bed, airconditioning and tv are all new. Easy to get basic food at the restaurant and a small shop 50 meters away.

To no fault of the hotel, the Crystal Bay is not the clean romantic location it once was. Try walking over to the adjoining Pandan beach for that paradise island feel.

This villa suited us perfectly. Located just a 7 minute walk to Crystal Bay. The room has great air con, tea/coffee making facilities and a comfortable big bed. The pool and area are clean. The food was great. Although you do have to pay as you go, rather than settle your bill on departure. You will need a moped or a driver to explore the island. The roads are a little tricky! We absolutely loved our stay at this property, quiet and secluded.

The island is beautiful but it was sad to see so much litter everywhere. Piles of litter in the most beautiful places. Not the property's fault but something I wanted to note here for anyone thinking of travelling to Nusa Penida. Be prepared to sit amongst litter on the beaches 😟

Crystal Bay Villa & Residence We stayed here with a 2,5year kid for a week and it was a very nice experience. The staff is amazing, special thanks to Dom who was very kind and always ready to help us. The house was clean, we spent a lot of time in the pool - with a stunning view on the jungle above. We recommend to rent a motorbike to travel the island or just to get to Crystal beach which is just 6 minutes by motorbike. There is a small shop with some basic stuff close to the accomodation - 2 minutes by

Situated at the midst of a valley, Crystal Bay Residence offered us the most authentic experience that Nusa Penida could. Despite of the remoteness of it's location (still within a walking distance to the crystal bay beach where you see dolphins), this place felt like home, our stay was extremely comfortable. They have maintained the villas really well, and has provided the availability of all basic amenities such as hot water, fabulous indonesian coffee, delicious breakfast, comfortable beds, bike for rental at an affordable price, port pick up cab with the best deal and a terrific view. This place has exceeded our expectations, I almost cried while leaving. Special thanks to Komang, Kadeh, Wayan and Kadeh they took great care of us, welcomed us well, very smooth check in process. These guys were available for every need of ours. Extremely polite and sweet boys. This place is highly recommended for those who are looking for a true Penida experience.

We loved our stay here! The staff were amazing, incredibly helpful. Sorted out transportation and yours for us. The bungalows are large and spacious. The hotel is located about a 10min walk from the beach and is on a quiet street surrounded by the jungle. The food was great. Thank you to the amazing staff!

If I’m being picky, the only things I’d add would be a fridge to the room and an umbrella by the pool.

Wonderful spot and short walk through a small village to fantastic wee beach. Accommodation was quiet and had a lovely pool. Staff were amazing. Great spot if you don't mind being off the beaten track.

The dining area didnt have a lot of atmosphere but the owner was looking to make some changes. It was perfectly adequate but will be even better with some minor improvements. a few more tables perhaps. There were also a few other small restaurants in the other accommodation nearby. The beach was a lovely beach but a lot of groups of tourists drop in to take photos. But still a nice beach and super handy.

It was just a 5 minute scooter ride to the beach, perfect for spending the day soaking up the sun. The staff was so kind. They gave us welcome drinks when we arrived. Also, when we were swimming in the pool, they brought us extra towels. The breakfast was delicious and filling. The Bali coffee was so authentic! You gotta order it. We also loved that it was so quiet.

The only drawback was the road getting there. It was really bumpy. But just go with it.
