We were given a room right by the pool otherwise we had to climb three flights of stairs. Very traditional style and close to restaurants, money changer, spa etc. footpaths are bad around the area so watch your footing.

No lift and breakfast was on the fourth floor with terrible stairs. We only had breakfast once and went elsewhere for the remainder of our stay.

The location was very good. The breakfast was nice and room had all expected facilities. The hotel has a nice public swimming pool. We could also rent a motorbike in the hotel.

Breakfast is based on set dishes and there are several options but you have to pay if you want more than one dish.

Room is comfortable. Staff is friendly. Convenient location as it's walking distance to restaurants and entertainment places in the heart of Seminyak.

Some of the facilities in the hotel are old and worn out. Lights in the swimming pool weren't working, pool chairs were stained and mouldy. The management should look to refurnish it.

The room was amazing and super spacious, when we arrived they had upgraded us for free which was so nice! Bed was comfortable and they made up your room everyday. Pool was also lovely and easy to get to and the restaurant on the top floor had great views of Seminyak. The hotel was in a great location, lots of restaurants all around it and only a short drive to the beaches. The staff were so nice and helped us out with anything we needed. Would definitely come back here again :)

I like the big size of the room. Very big comfortable bed. Nice cushion and duvet. Shower and bathroom were ok. Very convenient. Spa table needs to be improved, the head piece is moving and you end up being pushed into the wood. Very kind staff. Clean place. Fridge in room. The wall paper is coming off, could stick that on again. Some lamps didn't work, coul connect them to the switch. Details that can be improved, but didn't affect our stay.

Everything about the hotel was amazing, the staff were so friendly, the room was very clean, and it was huge. The breakfast options were fantastic and all delicious. The room service was great and any time you wanted a towel for the pool, you just had to call reception. The pool was also lovely and we would recommend having a couples massage, it was glorious. There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants nearby but it was also easy enough to get a taxi a little further on. New water bottles were supplied everyday along with a make up service.

The only thing I can really say is that getting to and from the hotel can be a little difficult due to the amount of traffic in the area. But that's not the hotels fault.

The staff were very welcoming & helpful. Our room was very nice, comfortable bed & room facilities were excellent.

Having to walk in the rain with lots of puddles on entrance to rooftop restaurant. We got slightly wet inside, as the roof was leaking in the restaurant, so we had to move chairs around to miss the water drops. A new door (replacing the long window near the stairs) straight into the library room next to the restaurant would solve the problem to avoid walking outside in the rain.

After hours of reading reviews for places across Bali within our price range, I was beginning to become disheartened, but as it was last minute, Visala drastically dropped their prices. I have zero regrets about booking this hotel! My friend and I were only in Bali 5/6 nights for a little getaway before I give birth to my first baby, so our plan was to just relax; Visala was perfect for this. Visala staff were great from the moment we booked. I made the booking, however, my friend was checking in a day earlier than me, so I contacted the hotel to ensure this would be okay, and they assured me it was no problem and my friend said all went well with her check in. Staff were always very friendly, approachable and willing to help. Breakfast was included in our booking and I loved that we pre-ordered the day before so that it was freshly prepared for us at the time we requested. There was a decent variety on offer and whilst it might not have the over-the-top wow-factor of some cafes, we enjoyed our breakfasts (mostly opting for the Indonesian breakfast) with fresh orange or watermelon juice and plunger coffee. The restaurant is on the top floor and has some good views of the area and you can even spot the ocean when you stand outside. The rooms were cool and clean. Many reviews of other hotel listed mould, stained sheets/towels etc., but we did NOT have this issue here. The room was big and we had plenty of room for our bags and to spread our belongings out. The little TV also had Netflix, so we enjoyed logging in and watching a movie in bed each night. Staff were also very attentive and always double checked with us as we left the hotel if we wanted our room cleaned. The pool was lovely, only receiving sun in the morning to early afternoon, which was fine for us as. There were four sunbeds and two beanbags, but it was quiet when we were pool-side and we barely shared the pool the entire holiday! Would happily stay here again :)

If I really had to nit-pick, the pillows were lumpy, but honestly if you are that sensitive, bring your own pillow! Also the location/direction of the toilet was odd, but it was functional and really not an issue. **Though this was not of any concern to us, it is probably important to note that if you have accessibility issues, this hotel may not suit you as there are steep stairs and I did not notice lift facilities. Even the ground floor rooms required manoeuvring over uneven flooring (including a lovely decorative stone path across a pond - included a photo for reference...not included in the photo is the turtle who lives here).

When we first entered the hotel we got such a warm welcome from a lovely Indonesian lady called Komang on reception she made us feel so welcome. Every morning when we came down she remembered each of our names which is so special. The breakfast was delicious and the views at breakfast were amazing. All the staff at Visala were sooo friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant stay. The location is perfect too right next to shops and bars.
