This was the best place I stayed in Ubud. I stumbled upon it by chance while looking for a place with some greenery around in the central area. I was a bit taken aback by Ubud's dangerously narrow lanes & heavy traffic. Quite a contrast from the peaceful image I had. It was really difficult dragging my bags inside narrow lanes where most hotels were located & I was stuck in a lane for a few days bcos shifting bags seemed impossible. Also from reviews of other hotels it was difficult to figure if hotels were in lanes or on the road. So while walking around looking at several hotels, I spotted a cafe "Atman Nourish" facing a rice field. And on an intuition walked into a lane next to it & discovered a few hotels overlooking the Rice fields! A staff at Danasari showed me a room & it hit all the right notes. My room on the ground floor room was very well furnished & had a private sit out overlooking the fields. I later compared with other similar hotels & found this excellent value for money. Highlight here was a cute little white puppy, white bunny & white swan who kept me entertained chasing each other. The dog would come up to me sometimes when he saw me lounging. Great if you love animals. Most other rice field hotels are a little away from the centre. But this is bang in the centre & close to cafes. Will definitely stay here again.

Breakfast was a bit sweet for me with a lot of fruits. Since I don't have black tea n coffee, I had to opt for the fruit juice. And some days the breakfast mains was toast stuffed with banana filling. But they did take my request of giving me toast & eggs instead. So maybe sticking to Toast & Egg for mains is best. The bed was a bit high. It will be good to have a foot stool or a lower mattress.

Nice people at reception. Nice view over rooftops. Very good breakfast with generous fruits. Hot water. Kettle and coffee provided. Desk. Would recommend.

Odd bathroom - the shower is installed in the wrong section of the bathroom, so quite a lot of the water doesn't reach the drain and instead pools near the sink permanently. There are only cold white lights in the room, and no lamps. Aircon remote was playing up, so I asked to change the batteries, but they didn't have any spares. I think the score would be higher overall if price was a bit cheaper in line with other properties close by.

Such a nice and quiet homestay just off busy Hanoman street in Ubud. The room was just enough to provide a comfortable stay and everything was very clean. The staff were super kind and even prepared breakfast for me a little earlier than usual so I could check out early. Breakfast was very simple and still tasty, and loved enjoying it in the terrace with lovely views to a rice field. Super good location within walking distance to many restaurants and shops plus sites of interest. Would stay there again.

Nothing to highlight. It was great value for money.

The location was perfect and quiet away from the main road. The view from the balcony is nice and serene. The stuff was nice and breakfast was served in the room.

The bedding and toilet need to be replaced as they are old and dusty. The door was not shut completely. I hope they fix these and even the price might go up a little more, I will come back again.

The rooms were clean, spacious, and equipped with good air conditioning. The bathrooms were also in good condition, and the beds were very comfortable with fresh, clean sheets.

we had a frustrating experience at check-in. We had to wait for an hour outside the property for someone to check us in. There was a sign at the reception to ring the bell, and we did so countless times, but no one answered. We tried calling the phone number provided and even sent messages on WhatsApp, but there was no response.

Comfortable simple accomodation in great location tucked back from the street, we stayed in the king room upstairs and would recommend this over the standard double downstairs room which is more basic. Aircon worked well and so did the fan. Staff were very friendly and accomodating when I had to move accommodations late at night. Breakfast was also delicious, served upon request from 7:30-10am.

Loved our stay here, the location is fantastic - central but once you reach the accommodation it’s quiet and all you can hear (especially at night) was the frogs and crickets, it’s magical. We stayed one week, room got cleaned every two days. Staff was friendly and also there was 1x free water jug per day. The view was great overlooking the green field with ducks etc. would definitely come again! I liked the fruit plate for breakfast

The breakfast was a different sweet banana option every day (pancake, French toast, toastie). While it was yummy we wished for a savory option especially after being there for a week.

Great place to stay! The location is perfect, I loved my private balcony, good AC, amazing hot shower with good water pressure. Nicely furnished room and good price especially if you book for longer like I did. I would definitely stay here again

A bit noisy some mornings I think from a nearby temple The curtains were really thin so I woke up quite early most days with the sun shining in

The room was incredible! Huge with a beautiful view of the vegetation show on the pictures. Nice outside table for breakfast. The breakfast was delicious. My favorite part was the location. You feel in a lost paradise while you are in the property but you are very well located when you leave it.

Staff were very friendly. The only thing we missed was some information about activities we could do around, such as trekking the volcano.

greeeeaat location - right smack in Ubud Centre but secluded enough from the main roads. it's part of a cluster of other homestays on the same property, and there are little boutiques and cafes just a minute's stroll away. waking up to birdsong & sunshine on the fields is what makes this place so special. there's the friendliest cat that belongs to the owner of Kun Kun Homestay - she gives the best snuggles (if you're lucky) you'll occassionally see dogs rolling around on the grass or children flying their kites. monkeys on rooftops too but that's a rare occasion. the staff here are friendly and accomodating (also surprisingly young), they checked in every morning to ask if I wanted breakfast or needed anything. breakfast was healthy and generous + as a female solo-traveller, I felt really safe in this area :) there's a lovely cafe called Kafe (not even making this up) just across the road from the homestay. great coffee, even greater banana bread. everywhere else is just a stroll away, which leads me to mention that this is a great area for walking if that's your thing.

wifi was pretty spotty so I had to pop down to cafes to take my calls/ work which wasn't ideal because of the noise & distractions (although most distractions in Ubud are quite welcome). wasn't a huge fan of the white hue lightbulbs or the lime green curtains; but otherwise the room was cozy. could've been cleaner but this is easily solved by asking the staff to do a deep clean of the room. also it would have been exceptional if they offered a laundry service as opposed to having to find a laundromat (I think the closest one is a 5-minute scooter ride away)
