Overall, our experience at Arumasta was nothing short of perfect and we look forward to returning in the future. From the moment we arrived, we felt a sense of warmth and hospitality that truly made us feel at home. The staff members were not only respectful and friendly but also went above and beyond to ensure our comfort during our stay. The peaceful atmosphere of the resort was truly a breath of fresh air and waking up to the serenade of birds and chickens added a special touch to our mornings. I must make a special mention of the adorable puppy, Moochi, who stole our hearts during our stay. It was a delight to interact with her every day and her presence added an extra dose of happiness to our vacation. The cute little kid we met at the resort also brought a smile to our faces with the innocence and playfulness. Thank you once again for providing us with such a memorable stay.

The staff were very kind. The beds were comfortable. The location was excellent. The staff member Renita was exceptional.

The property felt a bit closed in, very small, very little privacy. The tiny pool was very shallow at both ends. There wasn’t much space to relax & lounge around. Only 2 sunlounges but no umbrellas for sunny days. There were bean bags but they are too difficult for older people. The sliding doors had big gaps for mosquitos to get through.

Great location, lovely rooms, great ac, great water pressure in the shower! Super comfortable beds and pillows. They have definitely gone for quality. Agung the owner, her family and staff were beautiful, so welcoming. You were made to feel as if you were part of their family. A great experience and very enjoyable stay.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The accommodation was beautiful, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. It’s set within a family compound, which gave it such a warm and local feel. Every time we came or went, the family would greet us with a smile and a friendly “hello” or “have a nice day.” It was simple but made us feel really welcome. The reception staff were also great — always cheerful and happy to help. Would definitely recommend!

The one downside of our five-night stay was the noise during the nights. Unfortunately, we were woken up every single night between midnight and 3am by other guests who weren’t being quiet. The worst was on our final night when a group checked in at 3am — they were extremely loud, and I didn’t hear any staff intervene or ask them to keep the noise down. It came across as quite rude and did put a bit of a dampener on an otherwise lovely stay. For accommodation of this smaller size, I think there should be some rules around acceptable check-in hours — 3am felt far too late and disruptive.

location was perfect just in the center of ubud though really silent. bed was big and comfortable. host was nice.

second floor has no elevator, so if you have heavy luggage it won’t be easy to bring it up and down. we had some issues with shower - water did not go down, but it was fixed as soon as we asked to. and wifi was veeery slow some days.

Hotel staff was friendly. Location was pretty good. 15-20min walk to center of town, royal palace etc. Many good restaurants within walking distance. It was off in a smaller alley, so pretty quiet, so street noise. Price was good. We hired a car with driver for couple days to go outside of Ubud, which were quite convenient too.

This is a very small hotel, with only 12 rooms or so. Very small swimming pool. We had a 2nd floor room, no elevator, so we need to carry luggage upstairs. The staff helped too. The room was very basic. There was a tiny step (couple inches) in the bathroom, which I tripped a couple times.

We loved our stay at Arumasta. It was welcoming, super clean, lovely cool pool, the loveliest staff and such good value. Loved it was in a family compound and they had the most beautiful baby who was the sweetest 🌸 We had 4 rooms poolside and they had great aircon and ammenities. Great location, easy walks to the Palace and down to the Monkey Forest area. We will definitely stay again and recommend to our friends and family.

The neighbours rooster was a little bit annoying 😂 but as early risers it was fine.

Arumasta Ubud is a peaceful and quiet Oasis, located an easy and comfortable walk from the centre of the hustle and bustle of what Ubud has become since we were last in Ubud in late 2002. Dewa and the entire team at Arumasta are friendly, welcoming, and helpful, very quickly having taken our three pieces of luggage up to our balcony room. The property is EXACTLY as depicted in the photos on Booking.com, and actually exceeded our expectations. The bed was super-comfortable. Arumasta Ubud delivers EXCEPTIONAL "value for money". If ever we return to Ubud, we would 100% stay again at Arumasta Ubud. Thank you Dewa and team...! Being able to play with the owners' little four-month old part-Pomeranian puppy was an added bonus!!

There wasn't a single thing not to like about Arumasta Ubud.

I liked the location as it's on a quiet street and very close to Yoga Barn and lots of other places. The family and staff who run it are very friendly and welcoming. Very comfortable beds!

I would have liked my room to be made up every day (it was only made up when I asked). There was one day when I requested my room to be made up (I left the tag on the door) but I came back to find the tag had been removed but the room hadn't been made up. Also every morning I would find dead ants in the bathroom which was not a nice way to wake-up! I would also have appreciated a towel rail by the shower and slightly better quality toiletries. An extra plug socket by the bed would have been useful to plug in my mobile phone charger.
