Room was large and very clean with a huge bathroom with excellent shower and water pressure. Beds were comfortable and linen was very clean and good quality.Room was serviced daily. Good fresh breakfast was served daily on our private terrace overlooking a pavilion surrounding a carp pond and tropical garden. WiFi is reliable. Gatra is in a safe, secure compound just off the main tourist area and seems to attract a quiet type of guest . Single female travellers are safe here. This is not luxury accommodation but surpasses any reasonable expectations at this price. The four staff we interacted with over our 2 week stay (our 3rd visit) were all very lovely people who looked after us to a high standard. We’ll be back as soon as we can.

It's not bad for a budget-friendly accommodation. The spacious room has a wardrobe, closets for unpacking, and a bathroom for your products. The staff is friendly but not super friendly. The location is okay, but it's definitely noisy if you are on the side of the shortcut. You will survive if you have good earplugs for sleep, though. Generally, traffic and noise stop at 11 p.m., max. I liked the balcony. There is a restaurant where you can either have breakfast or a meal, but personally, I think with all the offers, they are within walking distance. I can't see the interest in staying in the same place, but it's a personal point of view. It's definitely well-located.

It would be nice to have a filtering machine upstairs, so you do not need to go to the reception to refill your bottles.

Great friendly staff, great location to walk to restaurants, cafes and shops. Great banana pancakes and fresh fruit for breakfast and there was other choices to eat too. We had the suite so was quite roomy. Definitely great value for money and would stay there again and recommend to others for sure

No tv, website said couch and hairdryer but there wasn't. Did have seating and table on deck though

Location is perfect. Close to everything but in a quiet , safe compound. This is our third stay here and it’s been so pleasant that we’ve extended for an extra four nights. We love Ubud and we love Gatra, wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Excellent value for money, lovely large bedroom and bathroom, great breakfast, exceptionally clean with fantastic staff and a beautiful garden setting. Would suit anyone.

Room is clean, bright and comfy. Great location as it is within walking distance to the busy streets. Host is friendly and they prepare nice breakfast during our stay. Breakfast is awesome as fruit platter/fruit juice is included other than the main course and beverage. Host is very helpful to even help me to call my grab driver as I left my umbrella in the car. They even lend me umbrella when I requested for it.

The shower head in the toilet needs to be fixed due to uneven water distribution. The light in the toilet also needs to be fixed as it is flickering. The door for our room is a bit hard to lock and open.

Room was spacious, bed linens appeared all white/clean, aircon worked great and was a reprieve when I came back each day (and probably helped prevent mosquitos), shower water temperature got hot quickly. Staff were always helpful and courteous. Hair dryer available upon request from the staff desk; it wasn't in my bathroom already.

There was construction that blocked access to the hotel street, so when I arrived, my driver had to drop me off and I walked the rest of the way (maybe 150 feet). Some (water?) stains on the bathroom walls, but nothing that amounted to mold or mildew from what I could tell. I didn't see a luggage rack, but for the property price point, it's not a dealbreaker and more of a nitpicky thing. I paid for the included breakfast and appreciate that I could which type for each breakfast, but note the continental breakfast is not great value (two slices of toast, jam, butter, and your choice of juice or fruit, and also choice of coffee or tea).

Wow! What an absolute gem of a place! The place itself is a beautiful, heavenly oasis. I did not want to leave! The location is a stone away from the main strip but still super quiet to have a good night sleep. I just chilled in the room looking outside on this beautiful setting and I did not want to go anywhere! The bed is super comfy. The rooms don't have a TV but I did not mind at all! The staff are super friendly and the breakfast was massive portions and super delicious, and was served in our terrace I will absolutely stay here again and again. You will not be disappointed!

A quiet cosy hotel in Ubud. Its located centrally within walking distance of Ubud palace and market. Lots of Warungs nearby for cheap local food. The property is quite small with about 10 rooms but the Staff are nice and helpful with all requests and make up for the lack of many facilities - Eg. You dont get an electric kettle in the room, but the staff provide hot water flasks instead. Every room gets a nice spacious balcony with a table and couple of chairs. Breakfast provided is a basic choice of American, Continental & Indonesian. You have to choose either one of those on the previous day.

The lighting in the bedroom and bathroom is a bit dim if you are used to bright lights. There is no TV in the room if you are expecting to stay and laze in the room with a drink. Perhaps you are expected to be out the whole day in Ubud and come only to sleep or to stay away from Technology... if its your thing during holidays. Anyway these are not deal breakers, but just dont expect these stuff to be available as default in the rooms and btw its not the property's fault, as TV and electric kettle are not listed in the available facilities. (Time to read the fine print of facilities). Same breakfast items tends to get boring after 2 days, but u have a choice to eat outside in the various warungs (roadside food stalls) with a variety of local Indonesian food.

We loved our stay at Gatra Ubud Inn, the room was very big and super clean. Also had a big bathroom with a lovely shower. The staff were all so friendly and helpful during our stay, we had booked to stay again in a few weeks when we return to Bali by the end of our first night!!! Location is ideal it is 5 minutes walk from the busy Ubud main street so nice and quiet. There are plenty of restaurants and shops right on the door step. We also done the cooking class which is advertised in the reception area, I definitely recommend to do this during your stay!!
