It was a clean, calm and cozy hotel room The personal was absolutely sweet and cooperative all the time View to the pool was lovely. Breakfast ans dinner choices are good ans tasty All about the hotel is perfect

The hotel is not in the centre of ubud which was perfect for us - as we wanted a calm stay with no traffic noice - that is what we got Only the way to the centre is a little tricky It is a 20 minute walk … and the last few meter from/to the hotel don’t have a sidewalk on a busy road … I walked with my phone flashlight on so people would see me … I am not an anxious person so I didn’t care but for someone who is - you should keep that in mind - I wouldn recommend to take a taxi/gojek because we did that once and the discharge of a 20 minute walk took us an hour

Very kind and helpful staff. Relaxed atmosphere, food was very good as well. Pool was empty most of the time which was great to relax in. Highly recommended when you just want to relax.

Kakul Villas is quite far away from the noisy Ubud Center, around 40 minutes walking. Same journey if you take a Taxi in a peak hour. Place is nice, rooms are big and staff very kind and friendly. Continental breakfast included is good, tasty and has different options to choose. The small kitchen and fridge in the room is convenient in case you need it. Every night we ordered dinner from different Warung, and used to reheat it.

We expected a room in the basement, with balcony directly to the swimming pool, but finally our room was located in the first floor (It wasn't any drama either). We realised that our room suffered a small plague of ants, but a soon as we notify in the reception, they coming fast and clean everything. We waited longer than expected for breakfast most of the days. If three or four rooms decided to have breakfast at same time, expect at least 20 minutes wait.

My room was very damp, so much so I think it was beginning to make me sick. It was the only one with wet windows I could also hear things in the ceiling above at night scrabbling around - not sure if it was rats or lizards

We had a very enjoyable stay at Kakul Villas, the rooms were spacious, comfortable beds, pool & pool area was clean, room service was prompt, the restaurant was a short beautiful walk through the resort away and the staff were friendly and helpful. A beautiful spot to escape the busy life and enjoy tranquility in your surrounds.

Our villa in particular wasn't very accessible and required jumping up a large step from ground level. Access to the pool area was similar (which was good for us given we had a toddler). Location was quite isolated which is good for those looking to switch off and relax. There were only a few cafes within walking distance, everything else required transport.

Good quiet neighboorhood. Fruit smoothie breakfast was good.

For some reason the rooms would smell like sewage when you initially return from a day out. Breakfast had very small limited options.

The villa was completely self contained, and very luxurious. The breakfast was awesome with a good range to chose from and delivered to our rooms. Staff were easy to contact via What's App

Our villa was next to the cross fit gym, so waking up at 5.30am to the energetic music everyday was a bit annoying to say the least. Maybe some new outdoor loungers would be a worthwhile investment

It's outside of Ubud but also close, it takes about 5 minutes with a scooter to Ubud. The staff is friendly and helpful. Scooter rental next to the corner. The location is really quiet.

The walls do not have too much sound isolation and depend on how loud your neighbors are because sometimes it can be frustrating..

The room is very clean, modern and sleek. It is really perfect for a staycation with family or friends. The pool was clean. Service is top notch and available 24/5 and very responsive. The location is a bit farther but for the value we are paying it is acceptable.

The staff were extremely kind and helpful for the entirety of our stay. They were a joy to be around every day. The hotel itself was a little slice of heaven, we especially enjoyed the pool and the restaurant was lovely for both breakfast and drinks/snacks/dinner throughout the day. We upgraded to a suite during our stay (for an extra £12 in total!), the room was lovely, with an extra comfy bed! We also really loved the activities they offered and the ease with which we were able to arrange these (we want to give a special shoutout to our excursion guide Jaya who was just the loveliest man during our full Ubud day tour, he even went above and beyond and helped us out with our laundry, picking it up and delivering it back to us!) Kakul hotel was an absolute pleasure to stay at and it exceeded our expectations! Would recommend to anyone visiting Ubud.

The only minor issue we would note is that we had a lot of ants in the room toward the end of our stay (I think this was due to the small gap under the door which led out to the pool) but this did not affect our stay.
