The location is great, rooms are basic and clean, the grounds are lovely. It is tucked away from the main Ubud roads. The family are lovely who run the cottages, made us feel at home. The breakfast is also simple but nice that you can pre order and they bring to the room. Pool area is clean. Very chilled, perfect if you’re a solo traveller or looking not to spend a lot but have clean and safe accommodation

I actually liked everything, I would say just as a heads up to people who stay in the cottages. The walls are thin, which was fine as it was my father next door, but if you have stranger next door could be a little weird. You can hear their phones etc, but I just shouted through the wall for my father to turn his down so it was fine. Something to know if you’re travelling alone

We arrived little earlier and check in went very smoothly, our room was very tidy and looking nice, there was a fridge, kettle and cups (no tea or coffee tho) there is a TV ( but it doesn't work which for us was not an issue). The space is very nice, the breakfast tasty and the swimming pool clean. There is a little guardian there called Hugo which stole our hearts and we miss him already. Staff was very nice and friendly. We enjoyed our stay in Seken.

There was a lot of ants but I know it's not anyones fault, it's just the way things are in here. The walls were very thin (or should I say the double door connecting both rooms) and we could hear everything from next door neighbours, their alarms, middle of the night phonecalls etc. Sometimes it was hard to communicate with management however in the end things were all sorted.

The bed is AMAZING! I really loved the cabin I stayed in. The staff were friendly and helpful. The garden was so beautiful and I loved all the sounds I could hear in nature. It was a very quiet area away from the main road. There are building works going on nearby but the sound didn’t bother me as I didn’t find it loud at all. I felt like this place was the most comfortable place I have stayed so far. I love that all the floor and walls are wooden. It make it feel so clean and cozy. I love that you can book your breakfast and they bring it to your terrace to eat. The pool was very nice to go and sit in to keep cool and to listen to the nature while in the sun. I love the lay out of the villas. It’s a very nice area.

The walls are thin so I could hear other guests in the room next to me. There was a kettle, cups and saucers but no tea or coffee so I didn’t see the point of the kettle, cups and saucers. It would be nice to have them for when you wake up. The table was very low for the height of the seats when you eat so it made it a bit awkward.

Seken is just a stone's throw away from the major sites and restaurants in Ubud. We loved how it's quietly tucked away a few mins from the center, especially when you wanna escape the bustle after a long day. The bed was really great and comfortable, perfect place to dive into after a long day of walking. Breakfast was served everyday in the veranda, food was really good especially the fresh juices. The owner was really accommodating, she helped us with our motorbike rental and other stuff we needed. Overall, it was a really great stay for us.

The wall separating the 2 villas was quite thin so we could hear the other couple from the other side of the room.

Once that I had the whatsapp number of the lady everything went smoothly. She helped us whenever she could also with last minute changes. The place is a bit far from the chaos of Ubud, especially from the traffic. Breakfast and juices were good. The swimming pool looks nice and clean. In general the whole "complex" is really really nice and authentic, with the little family temple and so on. Breakfast was good. Comfortable the bed. Wifi was good and I could work well with the laptop.

In the two/three weeks between the reservation and my arrival I tried to contact them here, on whatsapp, on the email... I never received an answer and many times I was close to cancel, then I decided to go there in the morning and check. In front of the hotel there is a huge building site, where they were starting to work in the morning, and they ended around 10pm... the background noise was quite annoying. The acoustic isolation of the cottages is really bad, you can ear everything happens outside (buildings, animals, ...) and also in the other cottage. Not even a single hook in the whole cottage to hang clothes, towels and so on. Strange, I would add some at least in the bathroom.

Everybody was so kind and helpful. The room was cozy, the place was calm and relaxing. The staff helped us with activities.

The booking has an error. We have purchased one of the cheaper room option, because the booking said that there would be a kitchen and minibar and a bath in the room. But there was not. We asked the staff about it and they said that it is a problem on booking and they know and are very sorry but are having some trouble communicating with booking.

The hotel has a very good location, away from the big noise of the city. There is a charming veranda, a yard with lots of greenery and a pool with two sun beds. The staff is very kind and responsive. The rooms are spacious and air-conditioned. The tooms are cleaned every day. There is a dedicated space for a kitchen, in which there are no dishes, but when we asked for them, they were given to us. The bed is wide and comfortable. The lady owner helped us to rent a motorbike and called a taxi for us to the airport. Breakfast can be chosen from several options /mainly different types of eggs with fresh juice/ and is served at client's request between 7.30 and 10 am. We had wonderful time there and are grateful for the good service.

Warm service staff. Breakfast was surprisingly good. Room has a kitchen (though I didn’t use it). WiFi is fast. Beds are not too hard, and linens are clean and soft too. There’s a shortcut to the main road (5 mins walk) that leads you to several small but decent cafes.

- Quite a bit of droning noise coming from construction across the road that stops only in the evening - Shower takes a long time to get warm (but it stays warm so that’s good) - Soundproofing is poor. Can easily hear neighbors talking. - Mini fridge was noisy… I had to unplug it. - Location is a bit far from the main road by bike/car

The staff were amazing and very friendly. The breakfast was so nice, delivered right to the room. The location was perfect right near the monkey forest and other activities. The room was very nice and provided more drinking water every day, very helpful. The pool was very nice and overall it was very quiet .

Everything, the room was amazing and very clean, the shower had great pressure and warm water that didn't run out, the staff were incredible and so kind and helpful. We rented a bike through them and had no problems and also did laundry. 10/10 would recommend, it's one of the best places we've stayed at during our SEA tour. Oh and the pool is very clean and most of the time felt almost like it was private pool because we were the only ones there.

If I had to give some critical feedback I wish there were more vegan options for breakfast, currently I think you can only get veg fried rice and toast with jam which was great but just wish there were more options but would still stay here again! Oh and the walls are quite thin in the cottages at the front of the property.
