We loved staying at Surya Kember Villas. The style is classic Balinese with wood structures, thick vegetation, meandering stone walkways, and rustic, clean swimming pools dotted throughout. The property offers a range of accommodation, including rooms, small villas, and three-bedroom, self-catered villas. They have a great restaurant in the center. I know many people write about great restaurants, but I have to point out that they have an extensive menu with something for everyone, and every meal was top-notch. The service was incredible. Thank you for hosting us Surya Kembar Villas - genuinely superb accommodation and perfect as a starting point to unwind and refresh after a long trip from the UK. Four of us stayed in a very spacious, detached villa with a separate villa alongside. Both were well designed. extremely clean and very well equipped. We loved the thoughtful architecture and calm space which was a wonderful contrast to the hustle and pace of Ubud. The property had a large private pool amidst beautiful planting and lots of quiet areas to sit and relax. The villas have easy access to access to a truly wonderful restaurant area. Lovely and highly competent staff who were universally friendly and helpful. Food was very good - we ate like kings at breakfast with a wide and varied selection of dishes. Evening meal was equally memorable with a good choice of local fish and fresh ingredients. The residence offers complimentary access to a nearby leisure and sports complex - a very stylish spot (with its fair share of digital nomads) where we swam, drank a few Bintangs, and joined a yoga session. Amongst a lot of highlights the staff stood out as exceptional - in particular the front of house. Mia and her colleagues were extremely helpful and very welcoming - thank you.

The staff is AMAZING!! Such kind young women in the reception and they totally made my stay worth while. The communications were great and I could always get quick answers to my questions on WhatsApp. Various selection for breakfast which was great. I was able to check in early which was a big plus. My room was clean although a little worn down, but overall I had a great stay. I was greeted with beautiful flowers all over the room and a cute message on the bed. The staff were able to give me a private offering making class which enhanced my experience of the Balinese culture, it was beautiful. It’s located in a nice calm area of Ubud without the stressful traffic on the outside, yet only 10 minutes to get to the city. The hotel has shuttles three times a day that can take you to the city center. There are nice restaurants, spas and sportsclubs in the area. I totally recommend✨

It’s very humid, and because of that I think there might’ve been mold in my room. There was a little smell, but since I didn’t spend that much time in my room it was not a problem. Also it was possible to open doors on both sides of the room to weather it out.

Beautiful rooms, close to a day club where you get free access. 15 minute drive to center of Ubud on a good day 1 hour on a bad day. They have a free car that can take you into town and pick you up. Leaves 3 times a day. Breakfast included in the room was a nice touch. Staff were lovely. Gojeks do go to this place.

Beds were huge and made up each day. Beds were firm so if you like a bed that is firmer that's good if you are looking for super soft you will find it hard. Shower did go cold on us a few times and no hot water came back, but as it's 30 degrees, not the end of the world, just wasn't a consistent temperature.

The quality for the price is exceptional! We stayed at Villa Sunday for three weeks. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The daily cleaning service kept our floors and bathroom spotless. The included breakfast was excellent, featuring fresh juices and a variety of options. Nextdoor fitness club is also included with the very modest price. The on-site restaurant was outstanding for this price range - our friends staying at other hotels in the area joined us to dine here. We especially loved the Balinese grill every Friday! Additionally, the laundry service was top-notch, ensuring our clothes were returned promptly, impeccably clean, and perfectly folded.

A gecko ( big lezard) pooped from the ceiling on our bed 3 times. The staff tried their best to take it out but failed. Finally, after 3 days, they installed a net above our bed to prevent the issue. Still, we were not comfortable with the presence of the gecko in our room. The restaurant was awful with very limited choices of breakfast menus and unprofessional staff. Tbh, unless the management resolves the gecko problem and upgrades the restaurant, I would not recommend to anybody to stay in Surya Kembar.

Beautiful big room. Huge comfy bed. Really easy checkin and out process. Would’ve liked to use the nearby facilities as they sounded great also.

Location wise it was a bit hard to get into central ubud. Online gojeks and taxis can’t get into the area as it’s only local transport so it can be hard to get around unless you pre Organise.

As usual in Bali the staff are always friendly and helpful. It never seems that any effort is too much. I always enjoy everyone saying hello, asking about our day, querying whether any help is needed. We asked for a more private room and found ourselves next to the stream hearing the lovely rushing water (it was wet season so not surprising). The rice paddy in the center of the venue was so lovely.

The number of stairs to access the restaurant and some rooms could be a struggle for some. However, the topography does add to the venue's ambience. I would wish for the restaurant to add a automatic toaster to use at breakfast. A small toaster oven isn't very effective. However, the included breakfast is excellent.

The golden moon villa was beautiful, the staff were fantastic and very friendly. We landed late at night and the staff helped us with our bags and accommodated us straight away. The titi batu sister hotel was fab and a great atmosphere. Food was amazing in both places. Before leaving, the reception ladies helped us organise transport to our next place and we got a breakfast box delivered to the villa due to the early start. The staff are extremely kind and couldn't do enough for us 🙏 Highly recommend!! Overall 10/10
