It was a great little apartment, it had cooking facilities as well as tea and coffee provided along with a small fridge. The beds were very comfy, the room was clean and we had a lovely stay. Staff were very accommodating, our dog was able to stay in the room with and could even join us in the pub. Which was great as we have a big dog which can be hard to find places to stay.

Good location for our stay with our dog.

We had advised what time we were checking in but Apt 4 was freezing on arrival and took ages to heat up. The seats and bed seemed damp because of it being so cold. Also there was a knocking/ticking noise all night long from the heat I think that kept both of us awake all night long. Such a pity because we have stayed here a couple of times and this was the only time it wasn’t good. We left just after 8 this morning because we couldn’t stay any longer.

We loved our stay at Keanes! The staff are extremely friendly, we were allowed to have our pup with us and they gave us a lovely wee card in the room to congratulate us for our wedding! Such a lovely touch to make us feel more welcome. The food in the bar is Incredible and so we’re the pints of Guinness! We will 100% be back!!

Nothing. I loved my stay here!

Apartment is basic but really clean, comfortable and cosy. It’s not the most modern but it has everything necessary for a restful evening after a day outdoors. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. We were able to cook a simple meal and watch a bit of telly before settling down for the night. The bed was really comfortable and we slept well. It was good to have an apartment to cut down on the cost of eating out. We booked it as the location was handy to the Killimer ferry across the Shannon Estuary and it was perfect as we had a lazy morning and were still in Tralee for lunch. It’s not fancy but if you don’t mind that I thoroughly recommend it.

Lovely one bedroom apartment. We had the double and single very comfortable and next door to Keanes pub and restaurant. Apartment is half way between Kilrush and Kilkee so very central though a little remote but that didnt bother us. Kitchen was well equiped to cook breakfast in. Lots of hot water and shower was electric.

The bathroom was very small but we managed for our 3 days.

Not the most modern accommodation, but the family and staff running the place are absolutely lovely and the location is perfect for exploring this area of the county. The way they welcomed our dog in both the apartment and the pub, sold it for us. It was our second visit and we will be back!

The staff were very friendly. Check in was stress free and there was no pressure re check out. The accommodation had everything that was required and was clean with towels, toiletries, tea and coffee and some milk in fridge. We ate in the restaurant next door and had a lovely meal in a relaxed environment. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

Lovely stay, the place has everything you need and is dogfriendly, which is great. So handy to walk from the pub to the apartment in less than a minute! Friendly staff. The area gets quiet after mid september, but if you like seaside walks and a drink in the pub, a lovely weekend is guaranteed! Dont forget to try the food in the restaurant: the oysters were huge and tasty!

Can’t think of anything

Everything about Keanes is perfect! Myself, Robert and Sandy had a lovely little apartment, complete with hob, microwave, kettle, grill, and jacuzzi! Bridie was a pleasure to meet on arrival, full of craic and so welcoming. The bar was lovely and quaint, and the food was incredible! We ate in it both nights, and got to try oysters for the first time, with chef coming out and explaining how best to do so. Aisling went above and beyond, even giving us tips on places to visit - each one a winner! The entire family just made you feel like one of their own, we were so sad to leave! Really looking forward to coming back for another visit!

Great self-contained accommodation with everything we needed for an overnight stay. Excellent value for money. Plenty of hot water for showers in the morning. A really quaint Irish experience.

Didn't get to visit the Keane's bar as we went into Kilkee for the evening and ran out of time, there is a very reliable taxi service though. We will definitely return.
