Lovely welcome from Mary our host. Recommended somewhere for dinner and offered to book for us, which was great after a long drive. Games room with pool table was unexpected bonus! Breakfast fantastic, and Mary sent us on our way with freshly baked scones when we left. Very helpful regarding things to see and do too, so we fitted in some extra visits before we left the area, which was excellent. Would definitely recommend this as a place to stay; and for more than one night too!!
Bed was a little too soft for me, but okay for my husband, so very minor thing really.

Beautiful location, comfy beds, and an incredible host. Mary was so lovely and made me feel very welcome. Not far from the BnB is a beach where I went swimming in the mornings. I had dinner in Carrigaholt, which I can highly recommend!
It was almost perfect, but the walls between the rooms are a bit thin...

Warm welcoming! Always helpful! Thoughtful! Great breakfast with serval choices and delicious scones! Mary Aston is an excellent baker and has taught classes! Her husband, Luke Aston, is a deep sea fisherman and many experienced fishermen from a wide variety of countries book trips with him.
All was good!

I booked this room as part of a group booking for friends. I did not stay here unfortunately because the girls who did raved about Mary's hospitality and breakfast!
It's a little way out of town but Mary's family kindly dropped the girls off at the restaurant and picked them up.

Hostess and Host! Fun and friendly! Active, engaging couple in the commuity and willing to help with any need. Any question... they'll find an answer. Great breakfast with daily home made breads and scones to launch you on your day! Mary is a class A+ Baker (teaches local classes) plus offers her fresh seasonal jams and jellies! Perfect for serious fishermen too! Check in advance with Luke! Wonderful home away from home!
Liked the entire stay! Would return in a heartbeat! Love Chicago, but Carrigaholt has a place in my heart now too!

Beautiful setting. Mary was so kind and helpful and recommended places to see and eat. My daughter and I loved the pool table in the evening and it was so comfortable and quiet that getting to sleep was really easy.
It would have been nice to have a toilet lid as an extra place to put clothes when we were in the shower

Location excellent to village and other friends, hosts excellent (Mary and Luke); friendly, welcoming, helpful, informative. The bedroom was perfect for two female travellers with a bed each, very very comfortable bed, shower had strong pressure and bedroom warm and comfortable. As for the food.... It was simply amazing we both chose the pancakes and they were stunning, as well as the freshly baked scones. A lovely surprise to have granola first with yogurt and warm fruit compôte, EVERYTHING is lovely sourced or homemade, from the compôte to the jams and marmalades. If you plan a trip to Clare go to Carrigaholt and stay in Glencarrig b and b. And I haven't even mentioned the seaview!!!!

This B&B was such a wonderful find. One of our favorite places we stayed on our trip. We loved the farm house feel and it was just perfect. Great location to access Loop Head drive. Our room had lots of space to move about and the bed was very comfortable. She served the most delicious breakfast, all homemade. Our hostess was so kind and made us feel right at home.

Beautiful location, exactly what I expected in the countryside. Comfortable and spacious room with TV and a playroom downstairs with a pool table. Delicious breakfast! All great! But my highlights are the fantastic hosts, Mary and Luke are the definition of a super host: friendly, mindful, making every effort to ensure everything is great. I couldn’t ask for more and would love to come back.
Nothing. I would just emphasise that the property is in a secluded place so having a car is necessary. And during low season there might be some challenges to find opens business around. But with some preparation there will no problems

Well hosted, comfortable and excellent breakfast. We were also phoned ahead to warn of restaurant unavailability.
A little bit out of town but it really didn't matter.
