Breakfast excellent, restaurant menu delicious and the staff were lovely

Our bedroom was on the 2nd floor and we were kept awake by a performer in the bar on the ground floor who started at 10pm -( billed to end at 2am) we should have been told before arrival and given the opportunity to cancel our rooms and then maybe people who wanted the entertainment could have taken them - the bar was relatively empty

Everything about The Cliff House Hotel, from the hotel and ALL the staff there was absolutely wonderful. We had a fantastic holiday. Food was brought to you within 5min. Hot food - was hot, cold food - was cold. If anything I have to mention is more Vegetarian/Vegan selection on the menu's, but the food we had was absolutely lovely. Thank you to The Cliff House Hotel, it helped us to make wonderful, beautiful memories of a great holiday. The view from the hotel is just - breathtaking.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Cliff House Hotel. Everyone from management to staff were very welcoming and helpful from the moment I walked in the door. The first room I was allocated was very small but when I mentioned this there was no problem and they moved me to a bigger room for the same rate. It was last minute when I booked so I was grateful to have had the opportunity to move. The room was bright, very clean and even though there was no bath the shower had fantastic pressure and plenty of hot water. There were two single beds and the bed had crisp linen and was very comfortable. The room overlooked the back yard and had a small view of the sea between buildings but the beach was only a short walk from the hotel so that didn't bother me. I still got to see the most beautiful sunset out my window. I had forgotten my hair drier and the rooms don't have any but I was able to borrow one from reception for the duration of my stay. The staff in all areas were very friendly and helpful. I ate in the bar both nights and the food was delicious with plenty of choice. The staff were very attentive and constantly checked if I needed anything and never left me waiting for service. I have to mention the breakfast, there was a huge selection of fresh fruits, juices, yoghurt, cereals, breads, meats, cheeses, etc. if you just wanted a continental breakfast and the hot breakfast menu had a great selection also. The omlette was perfectly cooked and very tasty. I'll definitely be back!

Cozy hotel with convenient access to the beach. Nice atmosphere, attentive staff. Wonderful restaurant downstairs, excellent cuisine. Family rooms are small but equipped with everything you need.

The toilet and bathroom could have been a little more lit and clean. There were no bottles of drinking water in the room, unlike all other hotels of this type in Ireland. I didn't find a hairdryer either. The room smells food being cooked downstairs in the restaurant and is quite noisy. The door is locked with a very old tricky lock, which is not always easy to deal with.

Hospitable, courteous and approachable staff across the board. The range of breakfast choice on offer and the quality of the breakfast items I had were of 5 star standard and beyond . The bedroom was standard, clean, bed very comfortable 👍😆, but showering towels were size inadequate for an adult.

Lack of a safe in my room

Such a classy place , so welcoming and comforting. Really nice family run hotel. Great bar . Amazingly beautiful sea view rooms , ours had a balcony. Lovely dining room too . Hosts could have not been more helpful too. I rarely give 100% but this place definitely deserves it. Thank you. See you again sometime hopefully.

Nothing. In short it was perfection

Central located, great shower, comfy bed & food was very good. Friendly staff and great views of beach from restaurant while eating :-)

Parking is limited at the hotel but can park in nearby church if roads around busy!

Overlooking the beach, with beautiful views and rooms and the best shower, the Cliff house also has a gorgeous bar and restaurant with amazing food and drinks! definitely a great stop along the wild Atlantic way! Thanks to Fiona who went out of her way to make our stay grand! she upgraded our room to an oceanfront balcony and gave our adult son his own room! Honestly it doesn’t get any better than that!

The friendly staff and exceptional service of this hotel, restaurant, and bar should be a benchmark for what every hotel needs to strive for. What a pleasant surprise. The food and beverage are also magnificent. I wish our trip would have allowed 7s to stay longer.

There was no lift, though the staff was more than willing to assist with our bags.

Location is excellent and near the beautiful beaches and cliffs. The food was excellent, really excellent, well done chef. The staff were pleasant and good in their various roles.

Parking is limited, it may have been mentioned on the website but if It was I hadn’t spotted it. I think you should state this clearly especially for older people, those less mobile or parents with young children. ….even to have a spot where one could drop off guests or luggage would be helpful. Meals in the bar cannot be reserved- I understand why it’s so busy as food is class but I do think paying guests should be given due consideration if looking for food after travelling & late in the evening. Again if this continues as the practice, forewarn people.
