I loved all the staff....from the receptionist to the restaurant staff, cleaners everyone was so friendly, helpful and nice!!

We were staying for a wedding that was at another venue.....we had a drink in the bar before we left and I ordered a bottle of budweiser and the barman told me there was none in stock. After I ordered a different drink, another guest pointed out they had bud and she ordered it. Was a bit disappointed. It's only a small thing but a little frustrating as I only drink bud.... I am disappointed when I'm in a bar that doesn't serve it but to be told it wasn't there and to notice someone else got it? I didn't understand the point.

Great food and generally friendly staff

Issue with staff training. Was told by staff at restaurant that there was no issue putting drinks bill on our room only to be woken up an hour later by Jennifer accusing us of have done a runner from the restaurant without paying for our drinks. As we had been asleep we couldn’t immediately find a card to pay so she threatened to send someone up to the room to collect payment in cash. Really unpleasant experience which spoiled our 39th wedding anniversary - despite the kitchen very kindly doing us a special dessert platter with “Happy Anniversary “ on the plate - much appreciated, thank you.

The Rose Hotel was spacious and well located. It is an easy walk into town through the Rose Park and Rose gardens. The room was spacious enough for two friends and it had a great breakfast menu and a well equipped gym. The reception staff that greeted us in the afternoon were lovely - very helpful and responsive. The concierge (Stephen) was so helpful and provided a lot of information about the town and where to go. The two breakfast staff (Falou and Amilou) were friendly and chased up coffees for us, always smiling when we asked for anything.

The staff in the bar couldn't be more helpful, as we eat there both nights..also the location of the hotel suits us perfectly as we like to walk and it so easy to access the town and the surrounding areas. We had a very relaxing two nights, we certainly will be back.

To be honest there was nothing to really complain about...one thing we both noticed and commented on, was the duty manager walking in and out passing us as we sat at the reception area, he never once made eye contact with us or any other guests..(A smile goes a long way)

The bathroom in the room needs updating. The shower was poor. They need to take out the bath and put in a good shower. From a health safety point of view having to climb into the bath and out for a shower could be hazards if you were unsteady on your feet. The shower in the bath was very cramped

We enjoyed our stay very much,however i had booked w Maud almost 10 months in advance asked for a certain table in the restaurant which was agreed on ,and then not available ,so this was very disappointing,as we were only a group of 8/9people wanted a round table and as you know changed the whole dynamic.I also requested cocktails before dinner this was also a big issue as the barman was busy at another function,we stayed at the hotel which was very pleasant but overall was disappointed with our meal only because of the facts that I have outlined,it was a special occasion and didn’t quite live up to my expectations,the staff are very caring and helpful and I wish you all a good season.

Very centrally located with good free parking. Rooms very spacious and well equipped. I personally thought the bed was a little firm but if I had been staying more than one night I believe you can request a mattress topper to be added (?). EV charging on site was a bonus as I could leave it charging overnight and be ready to head off with a full charge in the morning Breakfast was very good. Nice selection and staff exceptionally pleasant

This hotel exceeded my expectations. Spotlessly clean, fantastic attentive staff with great knowledge of places to go. We got a twin room with two double beds, which was extremely spacious and had everything we needed, tea/coffee machine, iron & ironing board, hairdryer, safe, fridge. Food was gorgeous, even though the hotel was full it didn't appear to be crowded. Highly recommend for business, couples, families

The day I departed, there was First Communion celebration. The kids were out of control…. They thought the lobby and bar areas were their playground… I mentioned this aberrant behavior to the front desk and was informed that there was nothing they could do. Staff needs to be trained to handle unruly behavior so that the paying guests can enjoy their stay without listening to the profane language of kids and the adults …

Breakfast lovely. Lots of choices. Staff really polite. Beautiful dining room.

Perhaps mention on the menu non meat options. And perhaps give those seated at least 5-10 minutes before asking what their cooked breakfast choice is to be. Lovely dining area so would like just those few extra minutes before having to order. But staff were amazing. So thank you.
