The rooms are incredible. So pretty and clean. Breakfast was AMAZING- order from a menu with a large variety of items and the proportions were HUGE- we should have shared meals. The grounds were so beautiful and the two wolfhounds that roam the castle were so cool and friendly- they posed with us for photos. lol Also- the noon checkout time was absolutely perfect, we went for a long walk and explored after breakfast.

Nothing! It was a wonderful castle to stay in! Loved reading the history of Ballyseede in the books provided in the room. Very cool place!

This was an outstanding experience to stay in a castle. The grounds and rooms are simply amazing and HUGE! The breakfast was included and cooked to your specifications and it was delicious and served in beautiful plates. The staff was really friendly and offered to bring up our bags since the castle has no elevators (but we didn't need that) but just to offer this was nice.

The restaurant could have better service for dinner. The food is mediocre but still sitting in the lovely outdoors was very nice - however the food could be tastier. The servers seemed short staffed but it wasn't a bit deterrent.

Beautiful castle with gorgeous grounds. It’s just 30 mins away from Killarney. I went with friends but I can see how it would be perfect for a wedding and/or a romantic getaway with a partner. The woods walk is nice to do before or after a meal. We stayed in the main building and the rooms were spacious and stunning. I only wish I had an opportunity to use the clawfoot tub for bath. Breakfast was made to order and delicious. Don’t skip out on the scones and muffins, they were fantastic!

We opted to have dinner at the restaurant and I thought it was okay. The tomato soup and dessert were delicious but my entree was okay.

The staff at the castle is what you would expect. They were friendly, attentive, and efficient. We stayed only one day because we wanted a relaxing spot with little activity and it was perfect for that. We even enjoyed a walk in the woods that are adjacent to the property. We stayed in a suite that allowed for a third person. It was outstanding. An unexpected treat was provided by the resident dogs. Of the four, the two Irish Wolf Hounds (Joe and Dolan) were our favorites. I have to add that the food was excellent and that our server, Doreen, was outstanding.

Castle is beautiful. Grounds are beautiful. Felt like a bit of a princess staying there. Breakfast was outstanding. Walking trails in the woods were magical. Pony and donkeys and statues everywhere, felt so authentic to me. We got to meet Joe dog and he was cool!

I would have given Ballyseede Castle a perfect rating if it wasn't for the fact that they were paving when we got there and it really put a damper on our arrival. We had to park at the lodge. We didn't realize we were in the lodge and not the main castle as we wanted to stay in our first castle, so we were a bit bummed. It all turned out for the better as we didn't know it was haunted in the main castle so when we heard that history we were glad to be staying in the lodge whether you believe in that stuff or not. ;) The cherry trees looked amazing but we chuckled when we realized they were fake. They still looked great and we wondered whether they turned the lights on them on during the night-- would have been pretty!

We adored our 1 night stay in Ballyseede Castle! It was romantic, beautifully decorated and comfortable. The staff was amazing and eager to please. The breakfast was order off the menu as well as a buffet, and was more than we ever imagined, Everything was delicious. The Irish wolfhounds and all the dogs who roam the castle were so cute and friendly as well. Esther, our server in the dining room for breakfast was most helpful in providing us with information about the area and places we should visit. She was so sweet!

NOTHING! We LOVED it all!

I loved my visit with my 2 friends. One of my friends was home from Australia. As long time friends from school all celebrated our 60 birthdays this year. This was our gift to enjoy ourselves, relax , and chat in the comfort of your property. The weather was beautiful so we were able to walk around the grounds and the nearby woods. We also got to take a look at the layout of the room for the lucky 154 guest attending the wedding that day. Thank you for creating memories for my friends and I.

Everything was perfect even the weather.

We stayed at the family lodge which was down the road, few minutes walk to the castle. It was great and spacious. The castle itself was really special, beautifully designed and taken care of with two bars and a restaurant and gardens. The farm animals were a plus and the pups were also adorable. Breakfast was included -choice of omelets, pancakes, eggs Benedict to name a few.

The first morning the breakfast took a while-they were very busy and perhaps short handed . The second morning was great.

Breakfast was excellent and the waitstaff were very engaged. The bedroom was spacious and clean. And, the common area "drawing" rooms were something right out of "Downton Abbey."

The dining room offered fine dining in the evening which was excellent. But, you could only eat at the same location one or two nights. After that, the only option was in the new, sterile looking lunch room. There was absolutely no ambiance in that room which reminded me of a McDonalds. The room was great for lunch or for families, but not for nice dinner - especially considering we were in a historic castle. An alternative could have been the beautiful old bar which would have been great for late night snacks and a cocktail. Unfortunately, the staff refused to open the room.

The property is beautiful. The Castle is gorgeous and the lobby, parlor, pub, dining room were all elegantly decorated. The castle friendly dogs welcomed us, the staff was friendly and we immensely enjoyed our visit. We had a Castle Room and also a room in the Lodge. Both were wonderful

The only unexpected thing was that the Castle Rooms are decorated by country and we had the Japanese Room. It was very well decorated but was a bit of a surprise entering our room expecting the same Castle decor.
