Stayed at River Hotel for 5 nights. Lovely quiet Hotel. Nice Ambience. Reception Staff very friendly accommodating, and helpful Breda and Micheal, everyone in Breakfast Room really lovely, made sure we were looked after in every way possible. Staff in Dining room and Bar exceptional also. Stayed there twice and will be back again 🤞 Thank you all at River Hotel Really loved our stay.

Wasn't sure what to expect as this was a last minute booking. The hotel is in the middle of the town parking is free a couple of hundred yards down the road. It was great to see all locals working in the hotel as it's a small town and hotel obviously gives employment to locals and students. While the hotel might to some not be modern the room was spotless as was the bathroom. The food was excellent breakfast was included in the price. We had dinner on the first night and also the second night it was great valu. One of us is a vegetarian and had no trouble picking from the menu both night. Definitely would go back.

Suppose the room looked out onto what looked like back of buildings, one building was high so could see right in the room.

Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The staff were very polite and always quick to help and made us feel welcome. I had asked for an extension lead in case I needed it for my cpap machine, and it was there for me on arrival. The breakfast was very nice and they were easier able to accommodate alternatives like veggie option and oat milk.

There really wasn't anything we did not like. The bath could have done with a nonslip mat but, that is very minor and did not effect our stay.

Me and my motor buddy booked this hotel after a long day of driving. The manager let us put the motorcycles inside, so they didn’t have to be parked around the corner. The room was excellent. Everything worked accordingly and the staff was very friendly we decided to have diner in the restaurant too. Best choice ever, cause the meals were outstanding and the prices normal. Breakfast was also very good and friendly staff. Furthermore the hotel has a nice and fashioned, but well maintained interior. WiFi works great. I highly recommend this hotel and its restaurant.

The hotel is so beautiful, we loved the old world feel of the lower bar and the sitting area in front of the reception which is on a slightly higher level. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the food delicious and the staff really nice. The location is also excellent, with some great shops in Castleisland and so close to Tralee. Will definitely be back.

There is no hotel car park and, the on street parking near the hotel is limited, but at least the on street parking is free.

The breakfast had a wide selection of food. The staff in the breakfast room were very attentive to our requests. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant. The food was good and yummy. Price was reasonable. The size of the room is good and the bed is comfortable.

There are too many steps in the foyer which makes it very difficult for elderly people to walk up. There is no private parking. We have to park on the street which is a little bit stressful.

We were a bit apprehensive before we arrived, as the Hotel was only classed as 3 star. However, we were very pleasantly surprised, every thing was lovely, from check in to check out. The Hotel is a small one and run by a very small, efficient and friendly staff. Extremely good value. Our room was very nice, comfortable bed, spotlessly clean and nice and quiet. We had both dinner and breakfast in the Hotel, which were both delicious. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. In particular, I have to comment on Eileen, who, at breakfast, had to deal with a very demanding, rude couple who found fault with everything, even having demanded extra food, which the Man, having finished what he wanted, decide to invent an imaginary hair in his food. Eileen was so courteous and polite in her dealing with these individuals, that she was complimented by other diners, when these people left. We will have no problem recommending the Hotel to all our Family and Friends .

Nice old-style hotel which appears to have been refurbished quite recently. Comfortable and spacious room. Excellent breakfast.

Poor wi-fi. Only managed to connect a couple of times during our 3-day stay. Not really a problem for us but could be an issue for business travellers. The hotel reception agreed and told us that a solution was being sought. No parking at the hotel itself but plenty of street parking close by.

A lovely hotel, great staff, very helpful and welcoming, Beata greeted us with a smile every morning for breakfast and made a fantastic effort to get to know the guests and make them feel very welcome.i would definitely recommend this hotel. A great location too, a great base to drive off to Dingle, Killarney or Tralee. The cleaning staff were fab too, they even got us an extra slimmer pillow for my mum.

Have stayed at hotel before and knew it was good. We were very late arrivals this stay and we were greeted by a lovely young man who is an asset to the hotel. I think his name was David but not certain. He could not do enough for us. Every hotel needs staff like this young man. Thank you. We missed breakfast and ate in Pat's cafe, also an asset to Castleisland.
