What an amazing experience. Conor and Bridget are a wonderful couple who welcomed us into their glorious country house hotel and provided invaluable advice regarding our planned Ring of Kerry excursion and where to eat in Killarney. Everything was perfect. Our room was spotlessly clean and had everything we could need. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and we had a fabulous night’s sleep. The lounge with books to borrow, is comfortable and welcoming, and the well-stocked bar area was a nice ending to each evening. The breakfast was all locally produced and was my favourite so far. We would wholeheartedly recommend a stay here.

The guest house is amazing. Our rooms were very spacious and comfortable as were the bathrooms. There was a towel heater in the bathroom and the closet included bathrobes!! There were plentiful electrical outlets everywhere. The suite had abundant natural lighting. The owners Conor & Bridget take pride of ownership in so many details both large & small like the bowl of mints at the front counter. Conor provided guidance with our travel plans as well. There is a generous sized sunroom/common area with ample seating and room to gather with travel mates. There was tea, coffee, and an honor bar available in the guest lounge. As well as a library with books, DVD's etc. There was also an assortment of games and puzzles. There was lovely music playing in the lounge that added to the ambiance. There is also an adorable outdoor patio and the house is set in a beautiful natural setting in the woodlands on a river. A top-notch Breakfast was included in a bright breakfast room with endless fresh homemade delicious choices for both a continental & full irish breakfast made to order. It filled us up and held us over until supper after a long day of travelling.

The location is just a little bit far from the city center to be walking distance after dark. The only other thing that I felt could improve my stay would have been a magnified makeup mirror in the bathroom.

We had a wonderful stay at Gleann Fia, thanks to our exceptional hosts, Conor and Bridget. Conor welcomed us with helpful information about local attractions and restaurant recommendations, making our arrival smooth and enjoyable. Bridget's friendly demeanor during breakfast added a personal touch, making conversations delightful. The choice of breakfast was amazing; I indulged in both continental and hot food on my first day, but by the second day, I settled on the granola, yogurt, fruit, and delicious homemade bread (I even got the recipe!) along with some delightful cheeses—absolutely scrumptious! We also loved the convenience of the honesty bar. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep for both my husband and me. The guest house's convenient location, just a 5-minute drive from the town center, was a definite plus. The beautiful surroundings and lovely grounds further enhanced our experience in this stunning part of the world. Highly recommended!

The only downside was not have coffee/tea making facilities in our rooms, and we had to go down to the lounge to make this. It was not a huge train smash but normally something I love in the morning when I first wake up. However, there was note explaining why.

Beautiful place, room and location, excellent breakfeast and we received a comprehensive overview of activities and places to see in the area, fit to the length of our visit. Most of the suggestions we received turned out to be amazing. Can't wait to try the recipe we received for Bridget's brown bread. 10/10 would recommend.

We liked everything. Do take in mind it's not recommended to walk from the hotel into the town center of Killarney, especially at night. Fortunately we found taxi/uber to be plenty available. Driving to and parking in Killarney center was also super easy and just takes like 6 minutes. Unfortunately we noticed too late for a reservation that there is a falconry (Kerry) a little further up the road, that does private experiences. Just another reason to come back sometime.

I absolutely loved my stay! The location is just outside of town but close enough to walk in if you’d like. I really enjoyed being in the countryside. The room was great and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, with everything homemade or locally sourced. Connor also helps you plan your day, which is perfect for getting recommendations from a local. In addition, they will keep your luggage for you if you are exploring on your last day. They truly go above and beyond to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. I couldn’t recommend it more!

Where to start? First of all, the location is great! Just two minutes by car from Killarney, on a quiet street and surrounded by its own peaceful woodland. My husband and I were greeted by Connor, one of the owners, and received lots of valuable information about Killarney and the area. His wife, Brigid, was just as friendly and open. The breakfast was delicious, with homemade brown bread and produce from local farmers. The double room we stayed in was bigger than expected and had a wonderful outlook onto the garden and woodlands. The bathroom was spacious and had a great waterfall shower head.

While everyone has their own standards and expectations, I am sure that everyone will be able to appreciate their stay with Connor and Brigid. I cannot think of one aspect that we did not enjoy.

I don't often give a rating of 10, but Gleann Fia is truly exceptional - or, more accurately, the host Connor and hostess Bridget are truly exceptional. Right from the start they were warm, engaging and so helpful- happy to share their local knowledge and anxious to ensure that we had a great stay. The house itself has large rooms, filled with lovely old furniture - the lounge (where guests can help themselves to coffee and tea and can pay for alcoholic drinks on an honour system) is a delightful space to sit and relax at the end of the day. Breakfast is fantastic, with home-made bread and jam and a cooked breakfast to order. My room was very comfortable, with everything I needed.

It was hard to stop the water from the shower from flooding the entire bathroom floor because of the "walk-in" design.

This is an exceptional guest house. The hosts were nothing but wonderful. They were welcoming and spent a lot of time making sure we were well informed about the accommodation and the area. The breakfast was wonderful with good choices, well delivered. The cooked breakfasts were great. The lounge was very comfortable and the TV room had drinks on offer on a trust the customer basis. I have no hesitation in highly recommended this guest house and would have no hesitation in staying again.

The location was quiet, visited by deer, and full of trees but only minutes from the high street. Perfect base for both Ring of Kerry and Dingle Slea Head Drive. Comfortable parking on site. The sunny conservatory was a peaceful place to enjoy a cup of tea - very welcoming. Breakfast was delicious and generous. Room was updated, spotless, with everything I needed and plenty of space. The hosts Connor and Bridget really are so helpful with advice on the area, and simple kindness - just the best at this.

A lovely house on a really quiet setting (no road traffic noise!!) & the lovely sound of the River Deenagh flowing alongside the boundary of the property Cosy,comfy & very clean throughout. Great space to chill out in the evenings with 2 rooms in which to sit & relax,read a book etc with as much complimentary tea/coffee & biscuits as you need 😀 Huge choice of breakfast options including an extremely tasty Full Irish Breakfast with homemade brown soda bread made with Macroom Brown Flour😋. Cereals, cheese,salami,fresh orange juice & fresh fruit salad.

Nothing to dislike about this property really!!
