We had a wonderful stay at The Scott’s Hotel. Everything from onsite included parking to easy walking into town made this a great location. The staff were flexible in getting us into the dining room for dinner early even though they had a large group coming later that evening. The rooms were spacious & comfortable.

The car park was a little small and hard to park in. Could do with only being used for if your staying in the hotel

Pillows weren't the most comfortable

The location was very central yet quiet. it was mid week so that could account for the quietness. The staff were extremely friendly, pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was lovely however I am vegan and was disappointed that they didn't have non dairy spread or oat milk. They only had Soya. So not a big deal for me really, just a preference. There was a sign to say vegan options available at the breakfast buffet however, I had enough options anyway and didn't need to request alternative offerings. I would recommend to others without hesitation.

There was nothing about my stay here to dislike. My room was a small room but how much room do you need ?

The Staff at reception and at breakfast were excellent as was the food. We ordered room service for dinner as our check in was late and breakfast the next morning was lovely but we did feel a little bit rushed to finish and leave the table but we hadn't booked breakfast so maybe that was the reason and that is not any reason for us not to return. We will definitely stay here again.

The doors are very loud in the hotel every time someone goes to or leaves their room especially in the early hours it is very loud. I woke up each time with doors banging. The hotel could do with putting some soft closing systems on the bedroom doors as was in the hotel we staying in, in Cork the previous nights and this is worth management considering... But this is our personal opinion and experience. Just note our room was facing the main street so it is going to be noisy at times but again not a reason for us not to book again but we might or can I would imagine ask for a room off the main street.

Overall we had a good stay at Scott's Hotel in Killarney. Staff were nice, friendly and helpful. Food was good in the hotel bar restaurant. Room was well lit and roomy with very comfortable beds. Location was very good and having the car park was an added bonus.

Big let downs were, the fact that during both nights stay, our television just turned on automatically in the middle of the night - lighting up the whole room and waking us up. In addition to that and even more frustrating was on our last night Sunday 4 May 2025 - during the early hours while we were sleeping, on x4 separate occasions an very loud ALARM (assuming the fire alarm) went off - waking us continuously and did not allow us to go back to sleep properly - thinking when it was going to go off again and if it was a threatening fire and how if so, I was going to get my elderly mother from the room using a wheelchair. Unrested, angry and disappointed departing from the hotel.

The location and how modern and clean the place was

The room, reception area and restaurant all exceeded our expectations. The room in particular was beautiful, so spacious with a great view. Bathroom was the most impressive I have seen in a long time, so spacious and well appointed. Room was spotlessly clean. We were attending a wedding and had phoned the day before to enquire about early checkin which was not promised but was available on arrival.

There was very little if anything to dislike. If I had to pick anything it would be no direct access to hotel from parking but the distance is so small it is hardly worth mentioning. It is a central location so would be impossible to remedy this, it is as good as possible considering the location.

Breakfast great Location perfect for town centre. Very good

Had to pay extra for breakfast. Not many tv channels to choose from.
