This is a beautiful old historic hotel that has been updated. The gal at the front desk, Michelle??, was warm, friendly and had excellent customer service skills. She held our bags in the morning before we could check in since we had an early tour and helped us out with our luggage the next afternoon. She was lovely and helpful. I did hear her on the phone telling someone that only the superior rooms have AC. I was super glad we had booked a king room because we had AC! The tub was the most comfortable I've ever taken a bath in and I have a LOT of experience in this area. I love a nightly bath! Breakfast was delicious and there were several options plus everything on the continental buffet.

We didn't love the room key. It was a large leather key holder with a skeleton key. Very historic but not fun to carry around.

The hotel is beautiful! Spacious, inviting and great staff! We were greeted warmly at check in by Ina, who was also very helpful giving us info about getting around in Killarney. Also, James, another member of the staff was very helpful. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed There were 3 of us ladies. We each had a bed. Bathroom was spacious too. The breakfast downstairs was lovely and delicious. The Buckley bar attached is very nice. Enjoyed the Irish music while we ate and had drinks. Very good location--near train and bus stations.

The staff were very polite, warm and professional. Breakfast team also excellent. Walking into the reception area creates a warm welcome. Liked the style of the hotel more classic than modern. Bedroom facilities good and bed very comfortable. Breakfast v good.

No room view but adequate light. Our window had to be kept closed due to industrial kitchen fan noise and smells which was unfortunate in warm weather. Reduced noise between approx 0130 and 0700 when windows could be opened during 4 nights we were there.The kitchen fans which appeared to be directly outside blew the kitchen smells into the room.

This is an adorable bed and breakfast atmosphere. The woman at the desk was helpful and always pleasant. The breakfast was great. You can order off the menu or just eat off the continental buffet. It is in a great location, just go out the door and there are shops and restaurants are everywhere. However the best pub is right in the Arbutus. Around 9:00 or 9:30 musicians started showing up and the result was a great party which included tourists and locals. Despite the activity in the bar and outside the room managed to be quiet.

The only flaw in the room was that when you open the bathroom door it directly faces the bed. Plan on using your phone flashlight to use the bathroom at night so you don’t walk up your spouse.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The bathroom was bright, the shower was good (over the bath type of shower). Parking (Paid) was nearby. Location was good, right in the centre of town. There was music in the bar at night. The aircon seemed to be effective. The decor is very old fashioned but it is in good condition and clean. The bed is very high, which I like but some may not! We were given an upgrade, and the room was spacious.

The view out of the window was of a back storage area that has some clutter sitting around it and was generally very unattractive. There were cooking smells when I opened the window (probably from other businesses as they are all close together), so had to keep it closed. The room had a bit of a smell of mustiness when we first walked in but only for a short time. Breakfast overall was nice, but scrambled eggs were quite overcooked. In summary, nothing too serious, just small points to mention.

Lovely reception area, really friendly lovely staff. Inagh was very welcoming and Aaron and Dennis in the bar were great company. A really lovely warm feel to the place and I will definitely book again. The room was so nice - I loved the grand feel to it. Lovely bathroom with toiletries and had tea and coffee with plenty milk pots! The bed was so comfortable. I really liked the decor

Carpet slightly worn - squeaky floor boards- walls paper thin- people coming in at 3am made loads of noise -my room backed on to a council store yard, they started up machinery at 6.30am- it was a leaf blower but sounded like a generator or a motor bike engine - was so loud -

Everything the holiness of the place tge staff noting to much trouble had irish coffee after 1130 very nice too good music and good atmosphere look forward to returning bar staff young and old excellent and quick good food served as well good fir sport as well and room spacious lovely bed v comfortable .look forward to going back in autumn

The hotel is located in the city center and very close to the rail station. We arrived early in the morning and were invited to coffee and pastries in the restaurant. The room was big and comfortable, with a seating area and a great bed. I loved the bath products line. The breakfast was lovely, there was a buffet with different sweets and savoury options and you can also order something from the menu. All fresh and high quality. It emphasizes the friendliness of the staff that at all times try to make the best of your stay.

Location central. Quiet

I felt it was a bit overpriced for the lack of room deluxe feature you would expect for that price. Eg. Complementary drinking Water in the room , biscuits to go with coffee/tea, and facecloths. Towels were thin. Furniture layout in the room was not really user friendly. No place for our case in a large room was odd.

The hotel was in a great spot with lots of restaurants in walking distance. Although the hotel is not the newest, it has a friendly feel. The rooms are a great size and clean. I liked the fact that you could send a bag of washing to their laundry for 20 euros. A few of my clothes couldn’t go in the dryer and they were more than happy to let these dry overnight. The staff were very helpful and kind. Shopping - there is a high woollen mills outlet on the next block and they ship all over the world and it’s open until late. We did some shopping after dinner.
