Without a doubt, Eugene, the proprietor, can be best described as a NATIONAL TREASURE. He is the reason to stay at Noraville House! He made the best Irish breakfast, served in a picturesque room, took interest in where we were traveling to each day, helping us map best routes along the way. He was the lovely person we saw, each morning, lovingly watering the plants. He was the one that told us we had inadvertently left our car lights on, thereby avoiding a dead battery the next day. He was hands on without being intrusive. Quite honestly, when we left, it felt as though we were leaving behind family...

If I speak about the things that were "lacking", it was nothing that could ever counterbalance all that was good. But for some it may be important that their was no TV and no washcloths/facecloths, few outlets. See...nothing really worth mentioning.

I had a car so the location was perfect for us. Close to the grocery store and close to town. Both places were within reasonable walking distances if we hadn't had the car. The room was small but comfortable.

My son got sick and made a mess in the ensuite bathroom. I did a lot of cleaning with what I had available. We went to the store and bought supplies to completely clean it. In the meantime the housekeeper came in and finished cleaning the bathroom. The owner complained several times to me that she had to clean the bathroom despite the fact that I told him my son had gotten sick. If I had not cleaned up the majority of it I could understand the complaint. I also made sure I left a tip for the housekeeper. I felt like the owner was a helicopter which was annoying to me.

Noraville House is ideally situated for a stay in Killarney. It is within easy walking distance to the town centre where tours depart from, and close to major attractions. Car parking is available on the premises. It is extremely comfortable - room was small but cosy, bed was very comfortable and breakfast was perfect. Plenty of choice, cooked to perfection. The host Eugene is a delight; helpful, friendly and engaging. By my third morning he knew my breakfast preferences without me asking. 😊

Decaffeinated coffee would be a welcome addition.

Great room, great host, very clean and the best shower I've had in all the stays in Ireland over the past two weeks. The optional breakfast was nice. We just had the continental but it was quite pleasant.

I understand that it is normal for Irish rooms to have just a kettle and instant coffee in the rooms but it would be great if someone had a small coffee-maker or even a small French press with real coffee. Also, Booking.com lists this property as not having wi-fi, but it does actually have it, although it's a little weak. A signal booster might be good.

Our stay at Noraville House in Killarney was absolutely delightful. Eugene, the host, was exceptional—his warmth and hospitality made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The room was the perfect retreat for a peaceful couple of nights. We highly recommend Noraville House for anyone looking for a welcoming, comfortable place to stay in Killarney. Lovely host that welcomes you with open arms. The accommodations were clean and quiet even though it is really a shared house with ensuite bedrooms. The host was able to point us toward the downtown area which was maybe 1/3 mile away. There we enjoyed strolling amongst the tourist shops, pubs and restaurants. Had a great dinner at a restaurant that had been recommended. We didn't opt for the breakfast but it sure smelled great when we got up!

Closer to town? TV in room?

Breakfast was absolutely delicious. Eugene went above and beyond to accommodate us with our dietary restrictions. Location is excellent jjust a quick walk to the city centre but in a very quiet neighborhood. The house is immaculately clean and tranquil. Hands down will absolutely recommend this place.

Nothing it was fantastic

Cosy and comfortable room with a great mountain view, cleaned every day. Eugene is one of the kindest hosts that we've ever met. A lady cleaning the room is also extremely nice. You feel like home. The estate is quiet and lovely, near the town centre. Definately worth coming back.

Owner is very kind and willing to help out. I had a heavy suitcase so I got a room on the ground floor which I appreciated. The beds are very comfortable and the blankets are warm. There was enough storage space, though I didn't make use of it as my stay was short. There are towels in the bathroom, and a kettle and mugs and a hairdryer all available in the bedroom. The breakfast served in the morning was very good too. Noraville is around 20 minutes on foot to the centre of Killarney, but far enough from it that there is no noise at night, so location-wise it is perfect.

We had a lovely time staying with Eugene at Noraville. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, it felt so cozy. Eugene was there to answer any questions and was such a positive person. Breakfast was great value and delicious!! 2 types of bread, jams, bacon, sausage, black and white pudding, egg, tomato. It was a short walk to and from town - past the grotto which you wouldn’t have seen otherwise! Eugene even made us a coffee to go for our last day!
