Windway House is only a 10 minute walk from the bus and train station and its location is absolutely ideal because the location is really quiet at night so you have the benefit of being 5 minutes away from High Street and Main Street yet you also have the chance to have a great nights sleep. Frank was a great host. Really helpful and really great with guests and he was very funny too. His communication before and during our stay was fantastic and he was really helpful and made sure we got to the INEC on time by arranging transport. Considering the cold snap at the moment, Frank made sure the heating was on and the rooms were really comfortable and warm and the rooms were really clean too which is a credit to the hosts. I would definitely stay here again and I would definitely recommend it to anybody seeking a great location with great hosts.

Frank was a lovely host. We felt right at home and very comfortable. On the day of our checkout, we were going to store our luggage at the Windway House and go on a bus tour of the Ring of Kerry. However, Frank and his wife had to attend to a personal matter and could not guarantee they would be there to give us back our bags (which he said has never happened before). To make it up to us, Frank drove us with our bags into town in the morning so we could avoid a long rainy walk with our suitcases. We were able to store our bags on the tour bus, so it worked out. It was a nice gesture that we appreciated greatly!

We stayed at this lovely guest house over the weekend and had a fantastic experience! The location is ideal — just a few minutes walk from the city centre, yet in a quiet and peaceful area. There’s a private parking area, but it's also possible to park for free right outside, which was very convenient. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming from the moment we arrived. He was friendly, helpful, and made us feel right at home. The rooms are a good size and, most importantly, very clean and well-maintained. There’s also a shared lounge and a dining area where you can enjoy breakfast with your own food. We really appreciated the glass bottles of water that were always available! Overall, I highly recommend this guest house to anyone visiting Kilkenny. It’s comfortable, clean, and offers great hospitality.

The property is in a good location in Killarney, close to the city centre but far enough away from the noise of pubs. Perfect location to visit the Ring of Kerry (either as a start or finish point) and Killarney national park. The rooms are a good size and the beds are really comfortable. Despite not offering breakfast, there are coffee facilities and there is a room with microwave etc that the guests can use.

For some reason on the day of arrival we were informed of a strict check in window of 3 hours in the afternoon. It would have been nice to know this before devising our itinerary. Just something to keep in mind, as everywhere else (including B&Bs) we were allowed to arrive whenever we wanted/could.

Everything! Frank is a lovely host and massively helped with restaurant recommendations in Killarney and even telling me the trick of sitting behind the driver on my bus tour of the Ring of Kerry. He was also very accommodating, with a space for guests to bring food in if they so wish. The rooms are spacious with tea and coffee facilities and a standard en-suite bathroom. I would highly recommend Windway House for a comfy nights sleep with good value for money for Killarney and a lovely host too!

We stayed at the Windway House for 2 nights. We were greeted by Frank, who was very accommodating and helpful. He explained all the facilities of the house and our room. He had a very professional and friendly approach. The room was warm, clean, and cosy. The bathroom was a good size, shower was great and few little facilities in the room were nice to have. Clothes line in the shower if needed, blackout blinds on the window, safe in the room etc. The kitchen facilities were minimal, but this was clearly stated before we got there and I found myself pleasantly surprised with them overall. All in all, we had a wonderful stay, we feel the price was very competitive to others in the area and the location in relation to the town was perfect. Within 10 mins we would be in the heart of Killarney centre so well within walking distance but at a distance where the house itself was in a nice quiet area. Thanks again for having us.

Two of the best things about Wind-Way House are the location and the host, Frank! Frank gave great recommendations for restaurants and places to go in Killarney and beyond. You are in walking distance to lots of places. The property was very clean and quiet. There's a communal dining room with refrigerator, microwave, toaster, plenty of tableware, coffee/tea/water.

The water was slow to drain in the sink and shower, so I was always a little nervous that I'd flood the bathroom.

Thank you very much to the owner Frank. Our stay was short, but we managed to enjoy the nice accommodation. The room is very clean and equipped with all the necessary things. The bed and pillows are very comfortable, and in the morning it was quiet, so we always got a good night's sleep. The owner Frank is an incredibly nice and friendly person who will always help with any issue. Thank you very much.

lovely guesthouse, just a few minutes walk from the highstreet. lovely clean cosy warm bedroom with private bathroom. I was really happy with my stay. The owner was so nice and helpful, with advice and booked our Taxi to railway station Also , gave us a umbrella to take to the highstreet, because it was lashing rain. He also recommended a restaurant to get breakfast lovely. Will definitely stay there again, thank you so much.

Good location in a quiet part of town but a short walk to all the lively pubs. Nice room and facilities, Frank was very welcoming and showed that we could use the microwave and crockery in the evening for our takeaway from Dunnes. Good selection of games in the lounge. Parking for our motorcycle in the property grounds.

No option for breakfast so walked into town for a cafe.
