Possibly the loveliest hotel I've ever stayed at (and I've stayed at some good ones). It feels luxurious but at the same time relaxed and friendly. It's also the perfect size - like a very large boutique hotel. The room was incredible, the facilities faultless and the staff across the board were wonderful. Although special shoutout to Julio on reception, who's the kind of guy you just know can sort you anything from a restaurant table to a new identity. And on top of all that there's the view from the bar, restaurant and all the rooms at the front (one of which we were lucky enough to be in). We stayed in ten hotels on our Ireland trip and Ahadoe Heights was head and shoulder above the other nine. Just brilliant.

The Aghadoe is a wonderful hotel. It is a couple of minutes out of Killarney so you need a car or taxi to get there. They do provide a shuttle service to town. It has magnificent views over the lake and mountains. We were upgraded to a suite which was incredibly well appointed, roomy and had beautiful views over the meadows. Wonderfully comfy bed. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. We used the heated pool, the lounge area and the restaurant. The lounge had a pianist playing both evenings which made it so relaxing as you looked out over the lake and mountains. Fabulous stay.

Could not fault the hotel.

The breakfast was amazing however the Paleo breakfast bowl was minus the black pudding. The selection for breakfast was phenomenal.

The overall experience was fabulous however the service in the Heights Lounge was very poor. We had to ask for menus after waiting 20 minutes, our mains came before our starter, nobody checked in with us and we had to ask twice for more Sparkling water. The staff in my opinion are not trained in 5 star service and could do with more specified training.

WOW... Where do I start???? It was amazing. I had booked this stay to propose to my girlfriend. I informed the hotel of my intentions, and they helped out so much and made this a magical stay. The rooms were stunning and so clean, the food was unreal and drinks. I have stayed in many 5 star resorts, and the staff at aghadoe heights where so good they made us feel so welcomed and made sure we were taken care of. Martin, the bar guy, was a top bloke his story was amazing, and his signature cocktails were unforgettable he's a real asset to the hotel. I will definitely be booking again!!! I like everything about this property. From the beginning to the end. Welcoming and very friend , especially staff especially Maria. It was my birthday the day we arrived and Maria gave us an upgraded room, very fancy and comfortable and big size, which was a nice touch. Our suitcases were brought to our room by a very friendly Porter. The dinner was a fantastic atmosphere in cozy restaurant and very friendly staff (Haydee and Ayon). Food was to die for and excellent service with a good manners. Haydee brought a little birthday surprise too, it was very nice of her. Next day spa and massage experience by two Anna’s. A fantastic service. The last day before our departure and long journey back home to Wexford we went to get a coffee and scone and we got such an excellent service by Maura. That Lady knows the excellence and professionalism in hospitality, how to treat guests well . She made our day. My summary will be excellent job everyone. I will start saving money for the next trip to Aghadoe. See you soon.

Small touches only, some of the bulbs in our room, also spa, (steam room) did not work. I used to work in hospitality, so I can see small things. One of the rooms in the spa ( aroma room) was not working, was cold and unpleasant. The receptionist Andrea said they are all working, a bit disappointment but overall all the three rooms we went to were great experience. Don’t feel bad after these comment, I am very fussy about do it right or don’t do it if you don’t want it. In 5-star hotel staff must see bulbs that don’t work and not working spa room .

Tha location is so beautiful. The view from our suite was stunning. The room was attended to so regularly, with chocolates on the pillows and water replaced. Tea and coffee facilities excellent The attention to detail was top class. The staff in the bar and restaurant and reception and all areas was so helpful and attentive. Maura couldn't have been kinder. Courtesy bus with John was another added convenience. Honestly one of the nicest hotel experiences I've ever had. It was like everyone is proud to work there. Thank you to all.

The attention to details here is amazing. I think the staff at the hotel understand that it is the little things that make up great experience. A special greeting card in the room with a treat, chocolates on the pillows, bath salts - these small things add up. Breakfast was amazing and the room was awesome. Other small things I've seen in the past that this hotel can add is refreshments on arrival or even condoms in the room. Overall, we loved our time at the hotel.

I'm a gym goer and the gym in the hotel is not great. There is plenty of cardio which is nice but very little equipment if you want to lift. Other than that there is really nothing to complain about.

Gorgeous hotel. The view was spectacular in the room, lakes and mountains were fab. The room was lovely and cosy. Enjoyed the large balcony. The staff were attentive and when we went for our meal, the room had been touched up, this was a lovely touch. They had lovely welcome treats on arrival such.as mini muffins and punch. The restaurant was nice and had a lovely view. The location was very good., five minute drive from Killarney and a 2 minute walk to the lakes viewing point.

Staff were very friendly, very helpful and could not fault them. Views from our room were fabulous, Spa was very nice also. Didn't book a treatment as they were booked out but we had access to Thermal Suite which was nice. The courtesy bus was very handy, dropped us into Killarney for a few drinks, Brendan, the driver was very friendly.

Food portions were small in Heights Lounge Restaurant, very nice food, but we were still hungry after main meal. Disappointed with the breakfast also, I got full Irish, with scrambled egg, very bland and a couple of items on the plate were tough to eat, and not really what I was expecting from a 5 star.

The view was absolutely stunning. What a delight to wake up every morning and watch the lake and its islands. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The spa treatment and service were a delight as well. The breakfast choices were plenty and healthy options offered as well which I much appreciated.

I wish we had been able to walk more than we did and have some options closer by especially by the lake. Our stay was too short to explore more.
