Arriving quite wet after a rainy trip in, on a motorcycle.. the welcome at Aherne's was easily warm enough to dry you out in a moment. We parked the motorbike in her own private archway undercover and went down for the most SUMPTUOUS seafood supper. Setting off for Cobh in the morning we paused to let an American couple take photos of the Wife, sat on our bike (to frighten their children back in the US with the caption "couldn't hire a car, but your Dad found us this!").. then our own departure was a relaxed and happy thing. We would definitely stay here again, and stay longer to explore a bit more of the local atmosphere.

Lovely food. Staff very attentive. Bed exceptionally comfortable . Guinness was excellent.

Breakfast service was unusual. Waitress taking the orders. Would be better if you could get your own juice, toast and fruit etc. Don't get me wrong, breakfast was exceptional but it's nice to be able to help yourself a bit. It would take a lottle pressure off the waiting staff The hotel could do with a little modernisation.. If this was done, it would be a 5 star .. Would i go back. Absolutely 100%

The room was outstanding. we had a balcony room, which was wonderful and spacious, easily room for 3 of us. Having the bar attached was amazing. we had dinner at night, which was exceptional, and breakfast in the morning was cooked to perfection. All the staff were extremely helpful and very easy to talk to. Location right in the middle of town was convenient to every where only a 5 minute walking into the centre would certainly go back in a heartbeat.

Hot water in the shower took a while to come through but was very hot when it did.

The room was huge and the bed too. Bed was a bit too springy for my liking (that's not a complaint just an observation) Dinner was excellent as was breakfast. My only gripe was that after specifically asking that the bill for dinner be charged to my room the staff allowed my dinner guests to pay. But no problem recommending this hotel for food and accommodation. Friendly helpful staff.

Everything, it was a beautiful relaxing two days that was very special. John, Katie and Ann were very welcoming. The seafood menu made it very difficult to choose from, fantastic food, presented well and beautiful..

Didn't like checking out, wanted to stay longer...

The breakfast was great. The surroundings lovely. The bedroom spacious and had interesting paintings/pictures. The garden was beautiful and relaxing. The staff were lovely

A fitted sheet on the bed would have been the one improvement we would have liked

Absolutely fantastic night spent here. Lovely people, great history and a really excellent experience on all fronts. In a world of new, fast and easy, the service, food and experience here are second to none anywhere. Thank you for consistency and endurance.

Fabulous anniversary stay at Aherne's Townhouse. We had a suite with a small balcony overlooking a lovely terrace with fairy lights & lots of flowers. The staff in the restaurant were outstanding, very attentive, offering so many gluten free options (one of the best meals my husband (coeliac) has ever had)! There was a pianst playing throughout our meal which really added to the ambience Comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast and parking on site.

Velux blind needs replacing in the room. We luckily brought a fan as during the heat wave it was needed in the room. The front barman wasn't as friendly as the other staff.

A really lovely family run hotel. Unique rooms and an exceptional restaurant. We had a fabulous meal. The Sea food really is first class. Very reasonably priced across the board. We hope to be back soon.

Stayed one night, receiving a great welcome to 4 motor cyclists enjoying the South-Westerly Irish coast. Secure undercover parking for the bikes, spacious, high quality, clean rooms and first class-food. The evening meal and breakfast were the best we had over our 7 night tour.

Nothing not to like!
