Love this hotel. Yes there are stairs and no lift but staff are there to help and the climb is worth it. The rooms are large with a queen and a single. There are plenty of pillows to chose from. The window opens, which we love, as we love fresh air especially when there is no AC. The bathroom is a good size with hooks to hang a toiletry bag. The hairdryer is tiny but still works fine A kettle and tea and coffee are available and the kettle fits under the tap. The view from the bed is of the water, which is lovely. Parking is under the building and easy to access. The location for the town is excellent
I couldn’t find fault with this hotel

The last time we visited Cobh was on a cruise ship which pulled up more or less in front of the hotel - this time we had a beautiful room which had a room overlooking the sea, & we were able to watch the cruise ship dock in the morning. The hotel was well-situated on the waterfront, with easy parking below the building, and easy access into a very interesting town. The staff in reception were very welcoming & friendly. Our room was enormous, with a king & a super-king bed. We had several large windows to 2 sides so that we could see everything going on out to sea & towards the Heritage Centre. The room was well-furnished with comfortable beds & armchairs. The facilities were excellent. We enjoyed a very good buffet breakfast in the restaurant in the morning.
The shower mat was a bit black-stained - due for renewal.

What a pleasant surprise!! The two rooms we had opened up directly over the ocean. What a treat!! One wall in both rooms was a complete gass sliding window that opened entirely but was safely protected by a bar going across the middle so we would not actually fall out into the ocean! Watching the ships go by was such a treat for our land-locked Colorado family; loved, loved this place! The breakfast was very nice in the beautiful dining room--also on the ocean side with an outside balcony and tables. We could not have been more pleased, and in fact, if we return to Cobh, we would not think of staying anywhere else. Definitely our first choice and the very best accommodation of our entire eleven-day Ireland visit. Kudos also to the very patient front desk staff. Our daughter witnessed a fellow (American unfortunately) guest being totally obnoxious and rude to the front desk staff person, and felt compelled to bring her back a sweet treat from a nearby shop to "even out her experience of the day!" Can't possibly imagine how anyone could have complained in this hotel.
Perfect as is!

We got a very specious room with a see view and just above the water. Super nice and clean. Perfect location of the hotel to explore the town by foot (as everything is just a walking distance - promenade, sights, cafes and restaurants, shops), as well as the best starting point for one-day journeys. There is a free carpark at the hotel, which was perfect. The breakfast was nothing special, but good. And both nights we stayed there, we had dinner at the hotel restaurant, and everything we tried was so good. We liked our stay at Waters Edge hotel so very much that we plan to return one day for another stay.
There might have been a better choice for breakfast. It's fine for a one-night stay, but if you plan to stay longer, it would be good to have some more options to chose from.

A big thank you to all the staff at the watersedge Hotel especially meg at reception who was so kind allowing myself and my wife to check in ahead of time it was such a relief after travelling for 3 hours, this was our 3rd stay at the watersedge Hotel and honestly I wouldn't stay at any other hotel when I'm in cobh they don't treat you like a customer they look at you like family which is why myself and my wife feel right at home in this wonderful hotel
The only thing I didn't like was having to check out I hate leaving but I always know I'll be coming back

Loved the location. Overlooking the harbour, 2 mins walk to everything Cobh has to offer. The room was very comfortable. I was in room 16 and had 2 windows, one overlooking the harbour and the other looking towards the town. Best of both worlds. Food in the restaurant was exceptional. Staff were so helpful. Free parking under the hotel. Train station with frequent trains to Cork City almost next door.
Just missing a cosy bar. You could have a drink in the restaurant, but not the same as having a separate bar with comfy seating to chill and socialise after a busy day sightseeing.

I am just back from a 2 night stay with my 2 sons. The location is excellent, a short walk from the train station and a short stroll from everything Cobh has to offer. We had a seaview room which was beautiful. The staff from front of house to night porter were so friendly and accommodating. Cleaning staff all so friendly and big hellos from anyone we met. Lovely breakfast watching the cruise liners come in. Breakfast staff very attentive and arranged more food to be cooked of anything running low as we attended breakfast just before closing time. The place felt like a home away from home for our stay. Boys said they had the best night sleep of any hotel we have been in and zero noise at night.
Nothing, only having to leave to go home.

This property has a fabulous location and is right on the water front. The beds are comfortable and room was spacious! Free parking ( which parking is tough , so appreciated) the restaurant was delicious! We enjoyed both complementary breakfast and had a delicious dinner one night!! I would highly recommend this Hotel.
This was not their fault, all of Ireland was having a heat wave with lots of sunshine, room was very hot!! They did how ever supply a fan but it was just a very tough recovery…

The location was fabulous, central to everything and the train station was right next door to the hotel. .Our room was so spacious and the view was amazing and to top it all the cruise ships were docked right outside our window. Food was very good too and staff were so friendly and very helpful.. That was my 4th time there this year and can't wait to stay there again.. Would also like to say thank you to the housekeeping staff who made sure we had everything we needed for our stay...Receptionist were outstanding too. 😊
Nothing really..Everything was just perfect AM

Restaurant was great, beautiful views right beside the port of Cobh, short walk to all main attractions in town. Staff were so friendly and accommodating. Parking facilities underneath the hotel though would advise to call ahead to check as they're first come first serve
Was very expensive just for 2 nights when compared to a Continental European city break for 4 nights for the same price. No air conditioning in the hotter weather.
