2nd time staying here and the location is perfect. Our room was huge and beds are very comfortable. Dinner was really nice and staff are so friendly

Our room was a bit tired looking. The carpet and bathroom I felt needed an upgrade and there was a smell of paraffin oil in the bathroom, mentioned it at reception and they said there was a spill when oil was delivered which was not great as the smell was not nice. Also I found our room had like a noise constantly from below it felt like a generator noise. Last year stayed in a different room and it was really quiet. Breakfast room also needed a fresh lick of paint. These are just my observations but it would not put me off booking again as the staff are great and we love kilkee

Arrived for a wedding with my friend. We were early, but the manager allowed us in early to get changed before the ceremony. After this, we checked in and the receptionist who helped could not have been nicer. Recognising that we were there for a wedding and may not be up for breakfast the next day, she allowed us to swap to brunch. Our room was huge. We had the top room and even though it was just two of us, we were delighted to have so much space. Brunch was fantastic the next morning. We loved the food and were delighted to have stayed.

A bit of confusion regarding our room number, as it wasn't clear which floor we were on but we figured it out.

The room my son and I were allocated was large and comfortable - moreover we actually did have a bay view (albeit a narrow one!) In addition to 2 King size double beds there was a third bed in the room which would have made it suitable for a family. Notwithstanding the number of beds however the room was large enough to accommodate a table and chairs plus a settee and other furniture including a very large TV without seeming crowded. The room was tastefully decorated and came with tea and coffee making facilities. The ensuite bathroom was modern, well appointed and very clean. A well presented breakfast was served to our table rather than buffet style which was a refreshing twist.

Parking wasn't a problem for us on our one night stay but the hotel has no dedicated parking of its own. Guests have to find street parking nearby which might be a problem in high season?

The Rooms are very well equipped and spotless. The food at the dinner was excellent. Breakfast was fantastic with many variations available and the view of the bay from the small room at the front was just breathtaking.

I have only one gripe and that is that the Dinner Menu on the Website was not the same as the actual menu on the site. my partner is a strict vegetarian and it is difficult to plan for meals out so we always look at the menus in advance and plan our meals around that. We spoke to a couple that were staying there for a few days more than us and told us that the menu was the same all week. It doesn't take much to update a menu on line so its really lazy for any establishment not to do so.

Food was excellent nice enviroment and room was comfortable. only one issue was the bathroom/en-suite was very cold and had to close the door but was cold to have a shower. The controls for the shower water were difficult to manage and the flow caused the shower to get hot/cold while trying to take a shower.

The beds were very comfortable and the room had a view down to the sea. Staff were very friendly and the food in the restaurant was excellent great choice and the break was excellent.

Comfy beds, well stocked bedroom (bathrobes, toiletries, tea and coffee, iron, extra blanket). Breakfast was delicious, and we managed to get an early check in which was great as we weee travelling with small children.

We only stayed one night and really it was great. Being picky I’d say that the water pressure in our room for the shower was a bit disappointing but perfectly fine, just a bit weak. And at breakfast we all got served our cooked breakfast before my toddler who was losing patience to sit down, so maybe a policy of serving small children first, if only to keep the peace for everyone else! We had a great stay though, that’s me being picky!

Central location to main street, beaches, cliff walks, all without need to drive. Warm homely hotel, obviously around for a long time but not run down by any means and maintaining the "decorum" of a classic hotel. Staff friendly, breakfast and dinner first class, dining room and bar smart and comfortable. Very enjoyable and not expensive.

Soap dispensers in bathroom awkward. No hair conditioner or lotion. Coffee making machine but only one single capsule.

Location

Paid for our dinner via card at bar counter after my pre booked meal €44. Then when checking out was told their was a room charge of €49.50 I explained I had already paid the previous night and offered to show this on boi account the difference was obviously €4.50 I was shown receipt large bottle of water which was clearly tap water. Yet I wasn't charged this when paying in the first place. Staff were understanding though and I hope it was resolved. Our room was very comfortable.

Gorgeous little boutique hotel. Very pretty reception area. Asked for room with walk in shower, and booking was changed without fuss. Stairs is a little steep, and no lift. Tasty breakfast, served to your table. lovely dinner in the restaurant.

hard to think of anything - maybe a biscuit with the tea/coffee in the room? Oh, there was no kettle, I assume we were supposed to use the coffee maker for water for tea, but isn't quite as hot as a kettle. Or maybe I just missed the kettle.

This is a traditional hotel that has all the modern facilities that you would expect. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel is centrally located and close to the sea front. I was concerned car parking might be an issues but found plenty of unrestricted spaces available in the street adjacent to the hotel. We ate our evening meal in the bar / restaurant which offered the typical range of gastro pub food. An enjoyable stay

Everything was fine.
