Staff were welcoming and professing. The hotel and the room were spotless. The room was quiet despite being next to the laundry supply room and laundry. Quiet once the washing machine stopped. The bed was comfortable and the toilet and shower being separate was a bonus. Great view from the 20th floor. The included breakfast was local focussed and had a good range for most tastes. The location was brilliant with a bus stamp outside the door and across the road. This made travelling to and from the train station easy. The location was in easy walking distance to the Peace Park. There were many restaurants within easy walking distance as well.

The pillows were extremely hard and uncomfortable which is a shame because the bed was really comfortable. We would have given this hotel a 10 had it not been for the terrible pillows

A very plush hotel, right in the centre of Hiroshima, an easy 10 minute walk from the peace garden and other tourist spots. No shortage of excellent, and very good value eateries nearby (make sure to try the Hiroshima-style Okonomiyaki - completely delicious!). A great buffet breakfast too - well worth it, to set you up for the day. Welcome snacks and soft drinks available early evening, which is a good place to relax after a busy day out & about.

Nothing really. Only slight issue was.the lack.of English spoken by Reception staff, which I found surprising for an international hotel. They were all super-helpful and professional though, and Google translate saved the day!

The bathroom door was glass which did not respect privacy

As you walk into reception, the hotel certainly has a calm, pleasant feel about it. The staff were very friendly. I can't remember what floor we were on, but it was high up with great views of the city. The room itself wasn't massive but not as small as what I think the Japanese standard is in other cities. As expected, very clean. It's in a great location to explore the main parts of Hiroshima. It also offered great value for money. I'd recommend!

Room furniture was a bit dated and the shower door allowed water out during use.

very comfortable hotel. Right at the city center, steps away from bus stops, walking distance to the Dome. They have staff at the reception 24hrs, very good english! The buffet breakfast is really nice, options for everyone. They also offer takeaway cups for drinks super nice. They offer the luggage delivery/receive service, wonderful polite staff. The room is spacious for Japanese standards, very clean, comfortable beds.

Room sitting a table and chair could have been provided instead of a sofa cum bed. Laundry service even if you are willing to pay for the laundry the staff discourage you to give laundry saying it is expensive. Also second day laundry was redelivered to me without washing and explanation by staff was sorry I cannot speak English.

Kind staff, nice and large welcome lounge with snacks and drinks, comfortable bed, easy access, 24-hour parking for 1500 yen, good view, super soft futon blankets, extra amenities available free of charge. Price range is medium and was appropriate. Glass walls on the bathroom is interesting.

Bathroom is super cramped. I hit my leg on the sink a couple of times. A lack of privacy if you need to use the toilet as the door is glass and it doesn't muffle sound well from the room. No sheet to cover up with, just a really thick, soft, warm futon blanket. I sweated my butt off and was alternating between having the futon off and on. Side of bed is against the wall so if two people are in the bed then one will have to crawl over the other or get out at the foot.

It was a little older but very comfortable. They have some local snacks and drinks in the lobby lounge each afternoon which were lovely. The staff were very nice. It was in a good location- only a 20 minute walk to the Peace Museum and park.

Nothing really. The decor looks a little older but it was still good. The pillows were a bit hard for me but it was still a nice room. The bathroom had a window into the room (it had a blind so wasn’t a bother).

I had to walk a bit to get to the hotel; not the closest to the station. Have to catch a free bus in. So best thing is get off the Shinkansen, go straight to the tourist info centre at the bottom floor and get the information to get to your hotel. There are three bus lines that are free with your JR pass. The hotel had free happy hour which was great. Staff was friendly enough.

Lots of Chinese visitors to Japanese visitors. I realised the name after the booking! Japanese staff were very friendly. The happy hour was good but the food and drinks kept running out quickly and had to prompt staff to refill. For a big hotel, I didn't think they had enough washing machines and dryers.

The Oriental Hotel is in a great location, the room was sparkling clean, the facilities and amenities were top class. The staff were friendly and so helpful. We loved the city of Hiroshima and if you visiting, this is a great place to stay.

Strangely, you cannot book a cab to pick you up from this area. However, every time we walked out to the main road, we never waited longer than five minutes for a cab.
