A clean, attractive, modern hotel in the heart of the city. It was equidistant between the peace museum and park and the modern art gallery. The room was very cool, stylish and comfortable. We stayed in a twin with tatami floors and this gave us a little seating area. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel but we checked out the breakfast area and it was very chic. I would stay here again.

They made you use a machine to check in even though the staff were standing right there. It was weird and annoying to have to enter loads of details ourselves on a screen whilst staff just stood there watching us. Also we arrived before our room was ready and we left our bags at the hotel whilst we went out to see some sights, and when we arrived later, our bags were still sitting in reception and hadn’t been taken up to our room.

The aesthetics and the thoughtful touches like ceramic mugs and free iced tea. I also liked the care for the environment by using larger containers of shampoo etc and letting people choose to take extras like toothbrushes from the lobby if they really needed. The coffee was great from the lobby but would have been great to be able to but one before 9.

We would have loved to have been able to sit in the lounge area of the poolside space in the morning rather than the windowless kitchen or bunk room, but it was for people breakfasting only, even when there was plenty of space available.

This was my first time staying at KIRO Hiroshima Hotel and my face time in Hiroshima. I arrived in the late afternoon, as it was getting dark out, and was rather tired from my journey to the city. I mention this because my initial impressions of the location were more negative, but the location is not bad whatsoever. The hotel is near the rail line and a short walk from that station. I stayed for 4 nights and 5 days - the staff were very kind during check in, the facilities for laundry and water were nice.

My only concern during my stay was with the dryer. I did 2 loads of laundry and split each load between 2 dryers. I ended up having to dry my clothes multiple times in the dryer and they were still damp after 2 dries. However, even this is a stretch. My entire experience at the hotel was wonderful.

I loved the light-filled guest lounge in the reconstructed pool area (not for swimming), with complimentary drinks and a lovely little bar. As my son was quite unwell during our stay, having this extra space plus a guest kitchen and laundry was very convenient. The staff were very helpful and made it possible for us to stay in our room longer while he recovered. The vibe is very clean and sustainable, with echoes of the building's industrial past.

The room felt a little cramped with our luggage, it was OK for 2 people as a twin share but I wouldn't recommend squeezing in four unless you're travelling light (it's a quad room).

The guest lounge as per the main photo is amazing. Great place to hang out as it's very bright during the day and has a great atmosphere at night. Like the kitchen facilities so you can make your own breakfast as the offered breakfast seemed a bit limited for the price you pay. Excellent location, close to restaurants and public transport.

We couldn't use the lounge when enjoying our own breakfast time even though there were only a handful of guests present. The kitchen area doesn't get much sunlight. Small thing as all other things were excellent!

Room was massive with 2 big and comfortable double beds and a platform above with 2 more mattresses. Lovely toiletries, and air freshner spray.Everything looked fresh and new, there were shops and restaurants nearby and Peace Boulevard a short walk away. The hotel was low key and industrial chic design with a nod to environmental awareness. A small coffee shop in reception was welcome. Self check in/out option was convenient but there were friendly staff members available to help.

Didn't have any real issues. As is common nowadays, there is no automatic daily cleaning said to be due to cncern for the environment but I'm sure if you really wanted towels or a room clean you could ask. No problem for a short stay and they will clean your room every few days if staying longer.

Best thing about the hotel is the fantastic central location within easy walking distance to the Peace Park and very close to shops, bars and restaurants. It provides a well equipped kitchen and a pleasant sitting area for guests' use. The rooms are well designed so seem roomier than they are. e.g. We had a standard twin room which was only 19 sq m but it didn't feel cramped. Beds are comfortable. Despite the one negative below I would still highly recommend this hotel.

The tiny window that you couldn't see out of and just opened on to an alley way. We were on the ground floor so other rooms higher up may have better windows.

Our stay at Kiro Hiroshima was exceptional, primarily due to its sleek, modern architecture and warm hospitality. The minimalist design, inspired by local ethos, is visually stunning and creates a tranquil atmosphere. We especially enjoyed learning about the architectural project, which involved regenerating a former hospital and embracing a vision of offering guests the chance to interact with locals and discover the true essence of Hiroshima. The "poolside" lounge bar (though there's no actual pool) is an inspiring space where breakfast is served and later transforms into a lively spot for drinks until midnight, featuring beers and spirits from local Hiroshima producers. The highlight, however, was the staff. They were extremely attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond—booking a perfect teppanyaki dinner for my wife’s birthday and even offering celebratory drinks. Their genuine warmth and thoughtful recommendations made our stay truly memorable. Highly recommend for both design lovers and anyone seeking exceptional service.

The hotel was very sleek and modern. The staff were attentive and helpful. While the rooms are just big enough, the bathroom was delightful (amazing bath) and there's a shared kitchen for cooking on level 3, and a coin laundry on site. Also, amazingly close to the action, 15 minutes walk to Peace Park, 20 minute walk to Hiroshima Castle, but also plenty of public transport.

The internet was very patchy and unreliable. We had other wifi for the trip, but was annoying if we wanted to split up. Also, there wasn't much natural light, but that helped our little kids sleep in longer.
