My wife and I had an enjoyable 3 night stay at Smile Hotel. The room was quiet, spotlessly clean & spacious, with a section under the foot of the bed to stow a case, although we didn’t need to use it. It also had a nice comfy bed, great block out blind, and desk with USB charging ports. Bathroom was a good size, had a rain and wall mounted shower, and was complete with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Location was perfect - about a 15 mins walk to the Peace Memorial Park & station to Miyajima Island, and within 5 mins from the bus stops to and from Hiroshima Station. There were also lots of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. Breakfast was varied, with a good selection for westerners. However, a baine marie to keep some items warm would help. Staff spoke reasonably good English and were extremely helpful with advice/ directions.

+ right next to 101/102 bus stop - this can take you to the train station (10-15 minutes). + walking distance (20 minutes) to peace park/ museum. + about 10 minutes walking distance to Hindori shopping street + bed was comfortable and shower gel/shampoo provided. Strong shower pressure! + able to leave bags with reception before I check in + I did not have hotel breakfast but they give kettle and tea bags (collect from reception). I had to use my own instant coffee. FamilyMart close by for a nice store sandwich!

- honestly I recommend it for the price. My view was just of the building next door (no natural light), but there was a blind which made the room so dark and that gave me a perfect sleep. It was great for one night.

We appreciated the safety of the card access to the lift and room. There seemed to be a reasonable amount of eateries within walking distance. We liked how there was more than one usb port allowing for multiple devices to be charged at once instead of one at a time with an adapter at previous places we stayed.

The bed and pillow were harder than expected and we found it uncomfortable and difficult to sleep. The room was very warm sometimes to warm. It took a little while to work out how to reduce the temperature - we were unable to locate instructions. I would have preferred some natural air in the room from the window being able to be ajar. We found the location a little far for lugging bags from the train station or to use the tram.

Well positioned, close to the peace park and ferry, close to rail connections and a lovely clean hotel with amazingly helpful staff! The rooms were more than adequate in Japan standards for size, if you lay out your bags properly you can make heaps of room. The bathroom was spot on great! Water hot, shower head strong and a large shower recess and a very good toilet! The breakfast was very very nice, the breakfast staff couldn’t do enough for you to make the start of the day a good one with a great variety of western and Japanese options, get the breakfast package with your room you will enjoy it and get a good start to the day!

Nothing, you could not find a better located value for money hotel in Hiroshima

This was an enjoyable hotel to stay in. It is very well located between the railway station and the Peace Park. The Castle is within walking distance. The area around Chou-dori is lively with plenty of bars and restaurants close to shopping arcades. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good. There is a coin operated washing machine and dryer and a similar facility immediately opposite the main entrance to the hotel. The only slight negative was to be told that the hotel will not ring for a taxi - you have to go and look for one!!

Location: It's a medium length walk from Hiroshima station, shorter if you take the streetcar to the nearby station. Close to the Peace Museum and Hiroshima Castle and Okonomiura. Overall found the location to be fairly good for what we wanted to visit. Stay: Quite spacious for 2 people and luggage. Bathroom was fairly large too. Value was good. Internet was fast. Overall very enjoyable stay at a modern hotel. Didn't use so can't comment on the breakfast or laundry. Photos shown are accurate to our experience Staff: Excellent as usual for Japanese hospitality. Using English was fine during check in.

Everything about the hotel was perfect. From the location to the cleanliness and layout of the room was 10/10. Best parts about my experience was the room itself. It was incredibly clean and smelled very nice. The bathroom is one of the nicest hotel bathrooms I have ever seen with spacious clean showers and perfectly clean toilets/showers. The bed was also very comfortable and the pillows were plush and felt luxurious. The location of the hotel is also perfect. Right across from a bus stop that goes directly to Hiroshima Station and within walking distance from Hiroshima's main shopping and leisure districts with countless bars and restaurants to explore. The hotel staff was also incredibly nice and we were able to communicate in English with no problem. For the price, I thnk this is the best hotel you can get anywhere in Japan.

Everything was perfect. There was not a single thing I did not like!

The hotel is not far away from the famous historical atomic bomb center so you can visit there on foot easily. (Just 1.0 Km measured with Google map). Whether you like it or not, many adult information centers are next to the hotel. On the convenient-wise, the DON DON DONKI is just 5 minutes walk away (have to walk across a park that so many birds resting on trees but unavailingly with a lot of shit splashing everywhere.)

The microwave is only available on the first floor, so it is a little inconvenient to go to the first floor to heat food every time.

The Hiroshima station is conveniently situated to reach the hotel with approximately four bus stops and within a walkable distance to Downtown Hiroshima. The hotel is also close to connivence store, and Hiroshima Park. The staff was exceptionally helpful, allowing me to leave my bag for a few hours after checkout, as I was planning to visit Miyajima Island.

The sole disadvantage of the hotel is the relatively small room size, which is a common feature in Japanese hotels. This did not pose a significant challenge for me, as I am traveling alone and have a substantial suitcase.

The location was great close to peace park and close enough to the railway station to walk The rooms had the best black out curtains I’ve ever seen- when my alarm went off the room was really dark but when I opened the blinds it was bright sunny morning…. so points for that 😊😊😊👍👍👍

Nothing with the hotel The only issue we had was at the railway station when we arrived and no taxi would take us (3 adults and 1 teenager) and our luggage After several taxis refused we caught the bus which luckily wasn’t too full so we could get to the hotel. But none of that was the hotel’s fault!!!!
