I stayed at Hotel Primavera in Stresa in September 2025 and had a wonderful experience. The location is perfect – right in the center, making it easy to reach all the main attractions quickly and to access every transport option (boats, trains, buses). For Stresa, the price is very good, offering excellent value. The breakfast was enjoyable, with a nice variety, especially the sweets which stood out. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and genuinely sweet, making the stay feel warm and welcoming. Despite being in the center, the hotel was quiet and peaceful, which was a pleasant surprise. My room and bed were comfortable, with a good temperature and reliable hot water, ensuring restful nights and relaxing mornings. Overall, this hotel contributed to making Stresa my number one favorite destination in Italy, and I will certainly note it for future visits.

A small note: bathroom towels could be checked a bit more, but overall this did not affect the positive experience.

Amazing location, right in the middle of the hustle and bustle. We loved sitting on the balcony in the evening, having a wine and looking down on the restaurants and beautiful street. Stresa is a lovely charming town with plenty of restaurants, shops, couple of bars and laid back vibe. The staff in the hotel were great, so friendly and accommodating. We ended up staying an extra night as we were having such a good time. Breakfast was grand, fresh fruit, croissants etc. Staff worked very hard. My room was clean, spacious and a lovely big shower. I think I had one of the newer or renovated rooms. My friend was in the room next door and hers was lovely too but just a bit dated compared to mine. Thanks for a great stay, we will be back.

Took a minute to figure out how to work the air con but nothing to complain about.

Great location near the ferry and train station. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean, well maintained and a good size. Very comfortable mattress. Good variety for breakfast: cold cuts, bread, yogurt, fruit, breads, cake, hard boiled eggs.

Good value hotel in excellent location, right in the old town. Plenty of cafe’s, bars, restaurants and shops and just a short walk to the lake ferries terminal.

In a precinct so not possible to park car adjacent to the hotel. But large car park on lake front just a 2 min walk, and possible to buy 24 hour tickets from hotel.

The hotel was very clean, basic facilities but perfect for what we needed. The hottie staff were lovely. The breakfast was continental style and had good choices. The rooms were nice and cool and we had a balcony with a lovely view of the street below. The hotel is situated in a Excellent location in a lovely street surrounded by restaurants, bars and little souvenir stores. A sort 150m walk to the beautiful lake Maggiore. The location was extremely convenient for taxi's, boat cruises, boat taxi services and the puff and billy tourist train very close by. Stresa is a beautiful place with everything you need for a long weekend. Loved it. Restaurant Lago Maggiore is well worth a visit, the staff were brilliant and the food was very good. It is very close to the hotel. Also the wine bar outside the hotel Al Buscion was perfect for a few drinks while you chat and watch the world go by.

The location was fantastic. Near many restaurants and cafes plus the ferries to the islands.

I have stayed at this location on three occasions. However, this stay in room 434 was a little less as nice. The room need some paint in the room and the inside bathroom door trim looks terrible. They probably don’t know it but this has been bad for sometime.

Staff were exceptionally helpful and very courteous. Alberto, Rafaella, Davide, and Monica should all be praised, and the cleaning staff did a superior job also. I have probably missed some staff members, but i commend everyone. In addition, the entire building and our room was immaculate at all times. Well done!

Having to leave and go back to work.

The hotel is in a great location for wandering around Stresa. Despite this, it was really quiet at night. Even the nearby church bells wait until 8am to chime. The staff were always present and helpful. The breakfast buffet was varied, tasty and plentiful. We really appreciated being allowed early access to it on our last day when we had a very early start.

The hotel was in a fantastic location just a two minute walk to the lake and set amongst beautiful shops bars and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful especially the lady who was on breakfast duty. The breakfast was very good and plentiful and the hotel had a restaurant next door which was very good. Our room was on the fourth floor served by a lift. We overlooked the bell tower which was stunning and woke us at 8am which we found enchanting. House keeping we’re also very good.

No negatives we found it had everything we needed.

When we arrived they'd made a mistake on what room we had booked. Reception lady could not sort it out and the Manager came who was extremely rude! The room we had booked was occupied, so he gave us a Villa up the road from the hotel which was very nice. His manner was awful!
