We had an excellent stay at Hotel Colomba D'Oro. The room was absolutely beautiful—clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated, making our stay very comfortable. The breakfast was also very nice, with a good variety of fresh and tasty options to start the day. The location is perfect—just a 2–3 minute walk from the city centre, very quiet and safe, even at night. One of the best parts was the staff's helpfulness. We had a late flight on our departure day, and they kindly kept our luggage after checkout, which made things so much easier for us. Overall, we highly recommend Hotel Colomba D'Oro for anyone visiting the area. We would definitely stay here again!

The breakfast was really nice with loads of pastries but also some savoury food. The room was beautiful and big. The room was cleaned daily. The location was good. There was airconditioning. The bathroom was really big as well.

When checking out, we needed to pay city taxes which was quite a lot. I would have appreciated if this was communicated beforehand so I could search it up and confirm. Also Tropea has a lot of stairs, keep this in mind when you visit. Plus no nightlife :(

The breakfast was incredible! Lived up to my expectations. My son, husband and I all loved it. Breakfast and reception staff were so kind and accommodating. Breakfast staff would make my son a frothed milk each morning and sprinkle cocoa powder on top. I loved that you could get beach towels and umbrellas there every morning to bring down to the beach. My son loved the huge shower and made it easy to clean him up after a day at the beach. It was less than a 15 min walk to the beach. The value is incredible.

No blackout curtains which made sleeping past dawn a challenge for my son and husband who are light sleepers.

The hotel was located on a quiet street, just off the main piazza. The hotel was pristine, clean and also smelled clean. The staff was friendly and jovial. A very welcoming environment, and obviously willing to assist with any need. Everyone at the front desk was helpful and accommodating. Especially with special needs and getting back uphill to the train station.The morning we departed.

Breakfast does not open until eight o'clock, so there was a line both days and the person in the kitchen was always scolding people.

Location was close to the beach and restaurants. Hotel was overall very comfortable. The breakfast every morning was simple but offered enough. Lastly the staff were friendly and I would stay here again.

Intially had a small mix up with our room. With the variety of room options, its key to know what you are booking. Although the same were very accommdating and ensured the mix up was sorted out, it did result in initally getting a smaller room. Some rooms do not offer outside windows.

Everything was very nice , good location in a quieter area but still very much close to the buzz. Spacious room, lovely breakfast.

There is nothing particular however if I could add a suggestion it would be nice to have body lotion dispenser and shampoo and conditioner separately. Provided.To have a machine inside the room to be able to make coffee/tea.that’s all.

All the staff were friendly and welcoming. The location was very central to the beach and the main strip. Beds were comfy, entire hotel was very clean. Front desk made great eating suggestions, called in advance for me to make sure they had gluten free options for me, and would draw out the route on a map. The breakfast was also delicious with a nice spread of options.

Only downfall the pillows were a bit flat.

Nice 4* hotel, walking distance from the city center and the beach. Calm neighborhood, nice building. The room was nice but small and since it was located on ground floor, not very bright. Staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast was ok, but very limited choice of items. Overall a perfect hotel for a couple of nights, great value for money.

The property was located just a few minutes from all the restaurants and a 10 minute walk from the beach. Our room was very spacious with a little balcony and spacious bathroom, which was cleaned daily. The staff were helpful and we got to store our luggage after check-out since our train was later on. The AC was a life saver!

The breakfast had minima savoury options.

Well located, clean hotel. Reception staff were more than willing to go the extra distance when we need something.

A few of the basic amenities such as complimentary water on arrival during the extremely hot periods would have been helpful. Tea/ coffee making facilities in the room would also have made this excellent stay even more comfortable. Extra pillow would have been nice.
