We have been blessed with excellent hotels and B&Bs during our current trip, and Olympus Room is one of the best. Pino and his wife Maria are wonderful people and great hosts. They looked after every detail. When we decided at the last minute to rent a car in order to see more things and also avoid a train strike, Pino met us in front of the building and had already claimed a parking spot for us on the street right there. He understands English better than he thinks, but he also uses Translate very well on his phone. The room itself is large, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. It has a little balcony with a view to the ocean. Pino had us fill out our breakfast orders each evening and then brought it to us the next morning at the time we requested. The breakfasts ware huge and we enjoyed them on the balcony. The room is on the 5th floor, but easily reachable by small elevator. Pino and Maria live in their apartment next door, but it is completely separate and you really have your own room. The location is excellent, really just a very short walk to the historical center where everything is happening. There were a ton of different, cute restaurants that really get going after about 8:00 p.m. We also walked to swim at the beach down below, and the stairs were not a problem. The mini fridge was stocked with drinks, and we enjoyed a bottle of good, cold white wine for ony 4.5 EUR, without having to go out and find one in a store. I don't know if we will ever return to Tropea, but would definitely stay here again without even thinking about it. All of her best to Pino and Maria, grazie mille!

There is nothing we did not like

Nice room with a good balcony in a good central location, with an easy walk to the old town and pedestrian areas, as well as all of Tropea’s lovely beaches (except steps down the mountain that can’t be avoided). Pino is an excellent host and was brilliant helping us with free parking right outside the apartment and he fixed an issue with hot water s promptly as possible, and helped book some activities. He delivers breakfast cheerfully on time.

We didn’t mind then at all, but some of the quirky room features made us a laugh

The location was excellent we could easily walk to beaches and the marina, there are literally a hundred restaurants in town and everyone we went to was great. Pino who runs the B&B is the best host we have ever encountered he would be at our door at the appointed time with a wonderful Breakfast each morning!! Also the room was on the 5th floor and it had an elevator so many places we have stayed at in Italy don’t.

The host Pino and his wife Maria were truly sweet and generous hosts. Pino met us on the street and saved us a parking spot during a very busy holiday weekend and was happy to answer all questions. He didn't speak English, but was very proficient with his phone translator and we were able to communicate very easily. He was very responsive, helpful and caring, wanting to make sure we enjoyed our time in Tropea. The breakfasts were outstanding - sweet and savory options, and the fresh fruit was incredibly fresh! The room was so clean and immaculate. The room was spacious and bright, but dark for sleeping. We enjoyed the little balcony, soaking up the sun and sipping on wine. The location was perfect as well, right at the edge of the main Piazza and so close to so many restaurants! And the wifi was excellent. I would highly recommend staying here!

A lovely spacious room with a little balcony overlooking the town,hills and towards the sea where we ate our plentiful breakfast every morning brought on a tray by Pino our host.Spotlessly clean, comfy bed,hot shower, kettle,air con, everything you need.Pino was a very warm and caring host who looked after our every need.He clearly takes pride and puts much effort into what he does.Breakfast was a big choice of sweet and savoury.Location excellent for station,sea front and on the edge of a nice piazza with numerous eating places.

Absolutely nothing!!

Breakfast was outstanding and the host was very attentive and helpful...he even was able to secure a parking spot for my car across the street! Can't say enough good things about the place.

Pino, our host, was so lovely!!!! He really made the stay excellent! He has a heart of gold and was so helpful. I read another review about walking to the property from the beach being difficult, but it was absolutely fine. We watched the sunset from our little balcony each evening. Do stay here!!!

This was a wonderful place to stay, in a beautiful region. Our room was bright, spacious and clean, with an accessible balcony. The bed was very comfortable, and the nights quiet. The bathroom was modern, spacious, and spotless. There’s a lift, which is most useful, as the Olympus Room sits on the 5th floor. We had generous choice of breakfast options, which were delivered by our host Pino, at our chosen time. The wifi worked well. From our building it was only a few minutes walk to the town centre, and to the local railway station. Pino and Maria were wonderful hosts, who went out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant stay. Pino even met us (unexpectedly) at the train station in his car as there was very light rain when we arrived.

Location is excellent.Pino is a wonderfull host that goes all the way for you to have a wonderful stay. He will bring you excellent breakfast that you choose the day before. He made our life easier even saving parking space for us,, and made us feel very comfortable.We liked everything!

The room was so cute and very clean! Pino eas the sweetest!! He was very hospitable and was always around if we needed him. The breakfast options were great and he delivered it right on time. He also gave great suggestions. The room had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again!!
