I've stayed at this hotel quite a few times over the years, mostly for business - although this trip was just for holiday. I had some concerns about parking our rental VW multi-van in the hotel garage, but the staff went above & beyond to make sure it would fit (and it did!). The room was large and the air-conditioning worked very well. Made for very comfortable sleeping. The hotel is near the central part of Udine, so there are many restaurants and bars within an easy walk. My favorite is Al Gelso, which is just behind the hotel, one block away. Excellent food. The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. Same-day laundry service is also available, and we made use of that. Breakfast is excellent also.

The only negative was the road construction just in front of the main hotel entrance. Not sure how long that will last, but it was a little confusing to park on a side-street and navigate ourselves to the hotel front door. Once that road work is done though, this is no longer an issue.

Stylish! My room was upgraded, it was really nice and clean, everything was okay. There was fridge and air conditioning in the room. They have room for bicycles in the garage. There are bicycle stands and also it was closed behind garage roll-up doors, so I felt that the bike was at really safe place. I was cycling Alpe Adria route.

Check in experience... Why are these "nice-ish" 4* hotels trying to be so formal and why is everything so complicated? They send you tons of messages and information about booking and communication with staff was also weird. They were not bad, but I would say - why to do things simple when it's possible to do it complicated way. Just be nice and keep things simple. Don't overthink the proccess that much :)

Good bedroom - we had an upgrade. The hotel is located in the main square and close to everything. Parking is available close to the hotel. The square outside was being dug up when we were there. The staff are very helpful - they go the extra mile - and the breakfast is good value for money.

This is a business hotel, rather than a tourist hotel. This means the staff are often very busy. We had a meal on our first night and it was very average. The view from our room was poor, but the room itself was excellent.

Second time in this hotel, so I knew what to expect. Well situated, a beautiful old building, very Italian hotel. Friendly staff, good breakfast. The car was in the garage (although easier if you have a small car, but they also have another garage with more space), and you could reach the hotel directly from the garage. Would come again. Highly recommended.

Hotel is very well locatwd and it has the possitive spirit of old times hotels.

We chose a larger room, which we did get, but the windows faced the technical yard, which was unpleasant and the air conditioning was noisy there. The common areas could be decorated more stylishly and less unnecessary kitsch would also help the overall look.

A beautiful hotel in the heart of the old town Udine - nice and cozy, excellent staff and facilities. Exceptionally clean, modern and welcoming. Pet-friendly, so our two small dogs were very welcome and the hotel did not charge an extra fee for them. They got water bowl, and everybody was very friendly. The hotel also has their own parking garage, so f a very reasonable extra fee you can leave your car in a secure place.

Very old fashioned but comfortable Didn’t sleep well, hum from somewhere and a thump every ten mins or so? Deliveries perhaps. Near the spar supermarket.

Good location. Room was upgraded which was a nice surprise.

Breakfast wasn’t great. No fruit of any sort. Offering was quite limited. Coffee poor. Croissants were very fresh though. Shower cubicle surprisingly small in a bathroom which otherwise was excellent.

The perfect central location to spend time in Udine.. and has its own car park The hotel is comfortable and unpretentious, the staff are wonderful, the restaurant is actually one of the best we’ve been to whilst in Italy.. all home made and really delicious ! We loved it!

a lovely (and attractive) receptionist not only gave me the top floor room I asked for but also upgraded me without question. So I had a double room uso singolo. She recommended a very nice risto just a short walk from hotel, which looked ace and was completely packed. No shortage of alternatives..amongst others one of the best stocked shops for grappa and amaro.

I could've lived in that hotel ;)
