We had an absolutely amazing holiday! Esther, Luigi, their family and staff took such wonderful care of us from start to finish. The set menu for the San Pantaleone celebrations was out of this world — I’m not usually a big fan of fish, but I devoured every single course. Truly exceptional food. The hotel’s pool is fantastic, with stunning views and a great bar stocked with snacks and drinks. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It really felt like a home away from home. Scala and Ravello are breathtaking villages — peaceful, full of charm, and perfect for exploring. The local bus made it easy to visit nearby towns, and while the beach is small, it was more than enough for a quick dip. Plus, with such a lovely pool at the hotel, we didn’t miss the beach at all. The restaurant in Scala is also a highlight — great food and atmosphere. All in all, it was an unforgettable holiday. We loved every second and will definitely be coming back!

Our room had a balcony with a wonderful view towards Ravello. The breakfast was nice. The staff were friendly and gave us useful tips for the Amalfi area. We used the bus from Scala to Amalfi and it stopped very close to the hotel, which was easier than driving around and searching/paying for a parking spot. Scala is quieter than Amalfi and the other touristy towns. The hotel's restaurant was a nice option for dinner too.

The mattress was not too comfortable but it was fine for a few nights. The view and the experience offset it and it was totally worth it. But more comfortable mattress is something that could be improved.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Villa Giuseppina in Scala! The hotel is family-run with about 30 rooms on the property. The staff were fantastic and provided exceptional customer service. Our room was located on the top floor with a balcony, so we had a fantastic view of Ravello, the sea, and the mountains. The food at the restaurant exceeded our expectations and was highly convenient on our first night when we arrived tired, jet lagged, and starving. The continental breakfast was served on a semi-open terrace with incredible views. The pool was open in early May, however, the weather outside was too cold for us to use it. The hotel is located in Scala, which is a VERY small town in the mountains. The scenery is gorgeous and perfect for a quiet getaway. There are a handful of restaurants in the town and more locals than tourists. It feels different from nearby Ravello (a must visit) and very different from nearby, touristy, Amalfi. The hotel is about a 10 min walk to the central square where the SITA bus picks up. We used the SITA bus every day to visit Ravello (5 min ride), Amalfi (20-30 min ride), and other cities along the coast. It is also walking distance Valle Delle Ferriere, if you feel ambitious to walk down the mountain to Amalfi. Highly recommend this hotel!

The finishes in the hotel rooms were a little dated. The bed was not super comfortable.

Scale is a great location and Hotel Villa Giuseppina is an affordable and comfortable option. We booked a room with a very large balcony which was a great place to sit and enjoy a drink. The room was comfortable - relatively spartan but functional and practical. The pool and area has plenty of room, pool is clean and plenty of umbrellas for shade. The room came with breakfast which was very good and the staff are all friendly and helpful.

Coming from New Zealand where smoking has strict controls it was disappointing that the European attitude of smoke anywhere is still prevalent. We think a portion of the pool area should be non smoking as it did annoy us when surrounded by smokers at times.

Villa located in Scala, near Ravello, has an extraordinary view. We got the room on the top floor. Overall, it was clean in the room and bathroom, equipped with fridge and air conditioning. Heat in the room, in April being cooler, hot water in the shower. Breakfast was ok, we are not fussy, just enough to eat in the morning and have a coffee. We liked that we had free parking available at the accommodation for our rented car. Pizza with porcini was amazing.

I can say that the duvets we covered ourselves with were very old and worn. Please change them.You can diversify your breakfast a bit, add more options. Food and drinks a bit pricey, but considering the area.

The view, the Restaurant and the Pool. The Hotel is located in Scala, which is a very calm town and even though there are tourists, you wont be overwhelmed by the crouds, like in the other towns of the amalfi coast. The Staff is particularly very Polite and always ready to go the extra way to help you. Special mention to the shrimp risotto from the in-house restaurant, which is now my favourite dish. I would also recommend the hike down to Amalfi from the hotel (via Minutta).

Our stay at Hotel Villa Giuseppina was amazing. We came home from the Amalfi Coast 5 days ago and we already miss the staff and the wonderful time that we spent there. From the first moment that we arrived at the hotel we already made friends with the staff. Our room was great, we had plenty of space and a nice balcony. We didn’t have a car and we used the bus and I highly recommend doing the same. The walk to the bus station is probably 7-8 minutes and the views are breathtaking. You can buy bus tickets from a tabacco store that you can find on you way to the station. The restaurant was amazing, we ate there almost every night. Also, the breakfast is really good and drinking your morning coffee with such an amazing view us wonderful. If we will ever come back to the Amalfi Coast we will definitely stay at Hotel Villa Giuseppina again!

The only thing that we didn’t really like was the fact that we didn’t have a sea/pool view but we were just unlucky as most room have a nice view.

The rooms are old and need some renovation, there was some mold in the bathroom, very small shower.

Top location, top view, top swimming pool, beautiful hotel . We wanted to stay longer but unfortunately it was fully booked. We wanted to go to Amalfi but the hotel was so amazing that we decided to stay

Breakfast could be improved , mattress is on the hard side (I liked it but my husband did not), we had a sandwich at the pool which could also be improved a bit .

breakfast was okay . very nice view of the entire property . swimming pool was amazing . dinner options available . we got one of the best view room with balcony. it was cheery on the cake. Staff was very helpful as on request they provided extra warm blankets. hotel have private lemon yard, great to visit this.

breakfast was very limited . after one coffee per person , you have to pay for coffee . location of the hotel can be reached only by private car. there is no electronic key , you have to carry a heavy key every where with you once you lock the door and also specifically deposit it to the counter whenever you eave the premises.
