Good sized room and bed. Balcony with view of the lake. Towels changed regularly, cheerful cleaning staff. Pool area at the back was a good size with plenty of loungers. Plenty of choices for buffet style breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially Dominic who went out of his way to assist us. The hotel is decorated with lots of quirky touches which look great. Hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the centre of Bardolino and 5 mins from Cisano the other way- we liked this. Local buses easy to use to other nearby towns- about €2 whereas the water ferry is €9. Both great to see the area without a car.

The shower and sink were in the bedroom but had a curtain to screen them- didn’t detract from the overall comfort of room for us but some might find a bit odd! Large biker festival taking place opposite during our stay was very noisy till late for a weekend- would have appreciated being told of this by hotel in advance, even though it wouldn’t have changed our mind about staying there.

Lovely room although we did upgrade. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent as were all our evening meals in the restaurant - good value for money too. Staff were fantastic, very friendly, efficient & helpful - special mention to Dominic. Love the decor too!

Only criticism would be about the hand soap in the room - this does not need to be changed every day - very wasteful. :( I get that some people might like a new one every day (although I have no idea why!) so for sure put a new one still wrapped in the bathroom and then there is a choice for them but to throw away a perfectly good soap is crazy! Minor point I know!

quirky hotel a good 25/30 minute walk from Bardolino great breakfasts, fabulous restaurant attached. Staff found me a mattress topper as it was so hard.

my superior lakeview room turned out to be a 'side lake view' meaning you only had a view if you stood up in the corner of the balcony. When asked to move was told nothing available so disappointed as husband spends time on the balcony due to health issues. Pillows very hard and cleaner not brilliant. However I would stay again with a proper lakeview.

It was a lovely, quirky, clean and convenient hotel. Domonic and Ludowca were excellent members of staff who were always at hand to help and guide, a credit to the hotel. We absolutely loved our stay and would visit again in a heartbeat.

The only thing we didn’t like much was the shower being in the room with a curtain for privacy. We were staying in the same room as our 15 year old son and he is at an age where he requires more privacy so it wasn’t ideal but we coped.

This was our second time staying here and we have already planned to stay again next summer. The location is great - a 10 min dander in to Bardolino town. Free bikes are offered to all guests which are great for exploring a little further if you dont want to drive or just nip to the shops. There is also ample parking which we always appreciate as we usually rent a car for our stay. The restaurant in the ground floor is 10/10 - very reasonably priced, seemingly adored by locals and free prosecco on arrival for each evening meal!

The only issue we had was the comfortability of our sleep. The pillows were a little too flat but mainly the mattresses just are not great. We both had sore backs most mornings, they just are not that supportive or comfortable. While definitely a negative point, the positives mentioned above outweigh this. New mattresses would be amazing for next year though!!

Good location 10 minute walk and you are in Bardilino.,or few minutes in opposite direction and you are in Cisano, good restaurant in both location. The the restaurant on site is very good and staff very helpfull. Nice Swimming Pool. If you just want to relax for a while.

The rooms are a bit tight, but this is still a great shopping point if you are just staying a few nights they are airconditoned.

The hotel was in a great location, The hotel decor was fascinating, from the suitcase reception desk to the bikes and motorbikes scattered throughout.The Staff were helpful and friendly.

Lack of English style Breakfast, just Scrambled egg was only hot food.

The hotel was nice and the staff was helpful. I loved that they provided free bike rentals. Made exploring the area very manageable.

The bed was very uncomfortable which was the most disappointing part. Also I couldn’t get the room to cool down bc they had just turned off the air conditioning. But the staff did provide a fan for the room.

The hotel staff is definitely pleasant and helpful, the location is very easy to reach and outside the town center, but close to it at the same time - 10 mins walking. I benefited from a room upgrade, much appreciated. The cleanliness is impeccable, and the attached restaurant offers a wide range of dishes.

Breakfast is not up to the standard of the structure.

This hotel is fabulous. I cannot recommend it highly enough. We had such a warm welcome from a lovely waiter, who greeted us like family. He was utterly charming. The room was lovely, we had one which opened onto a sunny terrace overlooking the pool. It was quirky, warm and very comfortable. We had a meal in the evening in the wonderful and cosy restaurant, where the food was delicious and again the staff were very attentive. Our waitress, whose name began with an E, was superb, excellent service, such a lovely lady. The breakfast was substantial and filling, served in lovely surroundings. On check out we met Nala, their beautiful Labrador, who was just gorgeous. All in all, do not hesitate to book this hotel. The staff are wonderful and obviously enjoy their work. We will certainly be returning for another visit and recommending it to friends. Thank you Hotel Maximilian for a perfect visit.
