Great accommodation in a fabulous location. 2 mins from the lake side & very accessible to all routes, bus stop within 100ms. Bikes are a great commodity, could cycle for miles along the lakeside. Hotel is very chic and clean. Pool is ideal. Had a lovely balcony & the restaurant was amazing. Air-conditioning in the room was fabulous. Curtains kept the sunlight out so you could have a good night's sleep!

Wasn't made aware over requirement to keep pool towels for the week & the cleaning staff took them daily from the room. So when requested a new set of pool towels, one lady at reception wasn't overly welcoming to give us more. However rest of the staff were very helpful and welcoming.

Great location on eastern shore of Lake Garda, convenient car park on site and handy to bus stops. A warm welcome on arrival and the staff throughout were always helpful and friendly. We had two rooms: a double with terrace overlooking Lake Garda and a triple with balcony with views of the lake also. The beds were comfortable with extra pillows and the air-con was great, the terrace was lovely to relax on and watch the sunset. Room service each day was of a good standard. We had breakfast in the hotel each day and it provided a good typical continental style spread with fruit, cereal, breads, salad, eggs (scrambled or hard boiled) cooked meat, bread and pastries with fresh juice and hot drinks. We ate in the restaurant L’Unico 3 times during our stay and were highly impressed with the service, quality of the food and drinks definitely worth a visit. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would definitely return here if we were in the area again. The pool and surrounding green areas had a good mix of shaded areas and more exposed for those who enjoy sunbathing and a great place to cool down in the late afternoon and enjoy a drink from the bar.

The only minor thing would be the bathrooms in both rooms were a little tired and could do with updating, though were very clean and perfectly usable.

We had an almost perfect stay. All staff were exceptional! Food was exceptionally good of a high standard. People came from far and wide to eat here on the spacious terrace with views over Lake Garda. Great service! Located a pleasant 20 minute walk along the Lake to Bardolino. Perfect for picking up the ferry to visit other towns on Lake Garda.

The lack of privacy in the bedroom. Having the shower and wash basin inside the small bedroom was not good. Only the toilet and bidet were in a tiny separate room. One double bed. The small third bed was uncomfortable. The pillows were hard. Not cotton sheets. Lack of surfaces to put on basic necessities such as toiletries and makeup. Quite cramped for a Superior Triple for three adults. For a grandmother, daughter and teen granddaughter it just about worked.

Overall excellent the quirkiness of the decor added to the experience always finding something new in the hotel, breakfast was good with a wide range of choices and a good range of times from 7am - 10.30. Restaurant was popular with locals and tourists alike and although always busy we were found a table quickly on the 2 occasions we dined there

Nothing really to dislike location was great, pool was clean and with a good amount of sun loungers staff friendly and efficient throughout the property

Good sized room and bed. Balcony with view of the lake. Towels changed regularly, cheerful cleaning staff. Pool area at the back was a good size with plenty of loungers. Plenty of choices for buffet style breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially Dominic who went out of his way to assist us. The hotel is decorated with lots of quirky touches which look great. Hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the centre of Bardolino and 5 mins from Cisano the other way- we liked this. Local buses easy to use to other nearby towns- about €2 whereas the water ferry is €9. Both great to see the area without a car.

The shower and sink were in the bedroom but had a curtain to screen them- didn’t detract from the overall comfort of room for us but some might find a bit odd! Large biker festival taking place opposite during our stay was very noisy till late for a weekend- would have appreciated being told of this by hotel in advance, even though it wouldn’t have changed our mind about staying there.

Lovely room although we did upgrade. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent as were all our evening meals in the restaurant - good value for money too. Staff were fantastic, very friendly, efficient & helpful - special mention to Dominic. Love the decor too!

Only criticism would be about the hand soap in the room - this does not need to be changed every day - very wasteful. :( I get that some people might like a new one every day (although I have no idea why!) so for sure put a new one still wrapped in the bathroom and then there is a choice for them but to throw away a perfectly good soap is crazy! Minor point I know!

Everything - our 3rd stay here. Breakfast is first class. The rooms are spacious with great AC, comfortable bed and a small fridge for waters etc. The restaurant on the ground floor is probably our favourite in Bardolino and is very well priced. Location to the town is great - 10min walk or so.

The only issue is if you have a car hired and you leave during the day, you will struggle to get parked again in the evening due to the restaurant’s popularity.

Lovely room and balcony with perfect view of the lake. Staff were helpful and friendly% Dominik in particular helped us out with bus and taxi arrangements. Pool and bar area was great. No towels on loungers, all very relaxing.

The pillows were not comfortable at all. That's the only single negative I can think of. I asked cleaner for another of the small blue cushions that were on the bed and she got me one and then slept better.

quirky hotel a good 25/30 minute walk from Bardolino great breakfasts, fabulous restaurant attached. Staff found me a mattress topper as it was so hard.

my superior lakeview room turned out to be a 'side lake view' meaning you only had a view if you stood up in the corner of the balcony. When asked to move was told nothing available so disappointed as husband spends time on the balcony due to health issues. Pillows very hard and cleaner not brilliant. However I would stay again with a proper lakeview.

The breakfast provided by Hotel Maximilian is exceptional and plentiful. The room was very comfortable Ann ample size with a lovely view of Lake Garda. The staff, receptionists, catering and cleaning were all very helpful and pleasant.

Not a fault of the hotel, however a bus stop a little closer to the hotel would be useful particularly when travelling with luggage.
