Very good breakfast, large underground parking, very clean.

After I wrote the below negative review and it was read by the management they contacted me, asked for more bank information and they refund the extra cost parking. Problem solved. It seems it was an internal miscommunication issue. Take care at checkout, they used to charge more. For example they charged me for three parking days even I stayed only two. When I reclaim this the lady from the reception said they will put back into my card the money for one day parking, but this never happened.

The hotel was really lovely and the welcoming free happy hour was greatly appreciated. The room was extremely clean and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. It is also only minutes from the train station and bus stops. And once you cross the railway line it is only a short and pleasant stroll to the gorgeous old town.

The area that the hotel was in wasn’t very nice. It was so close to the train station and bus stops which was great but the area itself was extremely dirty with many homeless people yelling as you walked passed them. There was always excrement on the pavements and on day there were hundreds of huge cockroaches running across the footpath. We didn’t feel safe leaving the hotel at night for dinner so we stayed and ate at the hotel or didn’t have dinner. The reception desk was helpful but they didn’t greet or acknowledge you as you walked past like they do at other hotels. They definitely weren’t rude but they also weren’t very friendly.

We stayed at this property many because of its proximity to the train station in Bari. It is in a very rough neighborhood and is the only clean, modern looking building that we could see on the south side of the tracks. On the plus side, the hotel itself is fine, with small but comfortable rooms, nice bar and a parking garage.

Sketchy neighborhood. The view from our room was pretty awful. In general, Bari is not a place I would return to!

the staff - especially super helpful reception. the breakfast - loved burrata for breakfast (and of course there was lots more). great coffee drinks. the location, while on a slightly sketchy street, is only a block from the train station’s underground passage - so very convenient for train (we came from Rome). please note we always felt safe, even returning from the old town after a very late dinner.

All went very well! Great service from the second we walked in. Your receptionists are fantastic. Federica was amazing and deserves a special mention (and a pay rise) - all your team made our stay exceptional and easy and enjoyable. Beautiful, modern room and great service from everyone. Dinner good (and reasonably priced). Breakfast - fantastic selection of everything! Hotel well placed for the city/town of Bari. It was very stylish with great Italian interior design. We will be back!

Cannot fault a single thing. The only thing was we were only here for one night - would have loved to stayed longer and have had more time at this hotel. Felt very relaxed here and was sad we had to leave!!.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at Hotel Excelsior. It is ideally located for your start or end your stay in Puglia. It is located not far from the airport, ~20 mins by car. And only a 20 minutes walk into the old town and opposite the train station. It also has a large underground car park (at extra cost). The hotel room was a good size, clean and modern. A great buffet breakfast. We also received a welcome drink on arrival. We ate at the hotel on Saturday evening and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. I had the spaghetti with prawns. However, we ate again on the Sunday evening and the same food was mediocre and lukewarm. If you don’t want to eat in the hotel, there are a few restaurants nearby on Piazza Aldo Moro. You have to go through the train station via the underpass (nearly opposite the hotel) .

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Conveniently close to the main train station. Plenty of restaurants and supermarkets around. Old town was easy to walk to. Daniela at reception was helpful and welcoming. Great service from Angelica (housekeeping) - she gladly handed to us supplies we needed for our 1 week stay. Breakfast was superb - lots of choices. And the breakfast staff was very attentive - 5-star service! The guy who mans the parking spaces was also nice. And when we checked out early am, they handed us to-go breakfast bags - so thoughtful of them!

This hotel is exceptional! The location is absolutely the best possible -- literally 100 m from Bari Centrale, which makes it very convenient for changing/using any type of transport. The facilities of the hotel are exceptional - cozy design, amazing lobby, comfy rooms, outstanding waiting area on the reception. One of the most impressive things was the breakfast - I've been to so many places around the world, but I have rarely seen such an exquisite service and variety of food. The room was with a lot of light, very convenient and exceptionally comfortable beds. I also have to say that the personnel was amazing - all of them extremely polite, smiley and willing to help. I owe a huge "THANK YOU" to Federica - an amazing person who gave us valuable advice and recommendations, as well as answered all of our questions with a smile! She definitely made our stay better and more enjoyable! Everything was simply perfect! This is definitely not the last time I visit this hotel.

The only thing that was a bit weird was the shower, as both the rain and the telephone function worked together and it was not possible to separate them.

Front desk staff were welcoming and professional. Lobby, public spaces and room were clean and modern. Bed was comfortable and room was well furnished.

It’d be nice if a full length mirror were added to the room. The restaurant menu was very limited and neither of us cared for the meal we had there. One of the waitresses who served our drinks and meals was very pleasant and engaging. The host who seated us was cold and snooty. We highly recommend the hotel. For meals, we’d choose to eat elsewhere the next time we visit Bari.

Across from the train station.Room was quiet.Small but acceptable gym. Acceptable but not great breakfast.Comfortable bed.Block -out curtains in room. Strong air con.Pleasant front desk staff. Check- in took 30 seconds. Hotel seems to do a heavy tour group business.

It's a small point but I'd rather stay in Old Town proper,not 5 minutes on foot away from it, on the fringe
